In a blistering attack on the BJP, AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal has pointed out a massive vote-rigging conspiracy ahead of the Delhi elections. Citing suspicious voter registration patterns, including 30-40 votes linked to the BJP MPs that previously had just 2-4, the AAP Chief asserted that BJP MPs and local officials are orchestrating the fraud. The AAP National Convenor, along with senior leaders including Delhi CM Atishi, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann, MPs Sanjay Singh and Raghav Chadha, is set to meet the Chief Election Commissioner at 3 pm to demand urgent action. At a press conference, AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal stated, “Today, I, Delhi CM Atishi, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann, Rajya Sabha MPs Sanjay Singh and Raghav Chadha, will meet the Election Commission at 3 PM. We have two issues to raise. First, our candidate from Patparganj, Awadh Kumar Ojha, had his voter ID registered in Greater Noida. On December 26, he applied to shift his vote to Delhi by submitting Form 6. However, he received no response. Someone advised him that since his vote was already registered in Greater Noida, he should submit Form 8 instead of Form 6 for transfer.”“Accordingly, Awadh Ojha submitted Form 8 on January 7. Legally, January 7 was the last date to submit Form 8. As per the Election Commission’s manual, Forms 6, 7, and 8 can be submitted up to 10 days before the final date of nomination,” added the AAP Supremo.Arvind Kejriwal further added that the Delhi CEO had initially issued an order stating January 7 as the last date for submitting Form 8. However, mysteriously, the officer issued another order the next day, changing the deadline to January 6. Why was this second order issued? This is against the law and violates the Election Commission’s guidelines and manual. The AAP Chief pointed out that according to the manual, Form 8 applications are acceptable up to 10 days before the final nomination date. With January 17 as the final nomination date, the last date should be January 7. “The election officer had initially confirmed this in their order. But suddenly, it seems something happened behind the scenes, and the deadline was arbitrarily moved to January 6. Was this change deliberately made to debar Awadh Ojha from the election?” He asked.Arvind Kejriwal further said, “The Election Commission manual states that even if a Form 8 application for vote transfer is submitted after the deadline, the Election Commission has the authority to review it. For us, this is a matter of our candidate’s eligibility, and there is no irregularity here. Awadh Ojha’s vote needs to be transferred from Greater Noida to Delhi. Hence, we will meet the Chief Election Commissioner today and request them to ensure the transfer of Awadh Ojha’s vote so that he can file his nomination papers.”The AAP Had mentioned, “Our second issue concerns the New Delhi Assembly constituency, where BJP MPs Parvesh Verma, Kamal Sandesh, CP Joshi, Kamlesh Paswan, Pankaj Chaudhary, Jai Prakash, Rebati, Jyotirmay Singh Mahato, and others have submitted applications for 30-40 new votes from their residential addresses. This is highly suspicious.”“A journalist informed me that when they questioned the local DM about these applications, the DM responded that MPs might have gardeners or domestic help living with them. This response suggests that the DM is complicit in this scheme. Parvesh Verma has been residing at his current address for 11 years. Does this mean he managed without any domestic staff for 11 years?” He asked.Arvind Kejriwal said, “Previously, only three votes were registered at that address, but suddenly, within 15 days, all these ‘staff’ have appeared. What is going on here? This shows collusion between the Election Commission and the BJP.”Arvind Kejriwal asserted, “If 30-40 votes are suddenly registered from MPs’ homes just 10-15 days before the elections, and the local DM justifies it, where is the sanctity of the election process? Then why hold elections at all? Just declare that the BJP has won and impose dictatorship in the country.”The AAP Chief affirmed, “We will never allow this to happen. The BJP might have won elections in states like Haryana and Maharashtra using such tactics, but the people of Delhi will not tolerate this fraud. This is the BJP’s malpractice, and Delhi’s citizens will not let this happen under any circumstances.”“We have yet to receive an appointment with the Election Commission as we only sent the request last night. We are grateful that the Election Commission has always granted us a meeting whenever requested. This matter is of utmost importance. If Awadh Ojha’s vote transfer is not processed immediately, he will not be able to file his nomination papers. Additionally, if the local DM is colluding and has already added all these questionable votes, it will be difficult to have them invalidated since the deadline has now passed,” concluded Arvind Kejriwal.Meanwhile senior AAP leader Manish Sisodia took to his ‘X’ handle (erstwhile Twitter) and stated: “Respected educationist Awadh Kumar Ojha ji, our candidate from Patparganj, filled Form 8 on time, but the Election Commission first announced January 7 as the last date and then conspired and changed it to January 6. This is against the law and the Election Commission’s guidelines. Today Arvind Kejriwal ji and many of our leaders will meet the Election Commission and request that Awadh Kumar Ojha ji’s vote be transferred from Greater Noida to Delhi so that he can file his nomination. This is necessary for the foundation of democracy and fair elections.”
