Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party National Convenor Shri Arvind Kejriwal said that the BJP-ruled Central Government has let loose various probe agencies after him by sending notices one after the other as if he is a terrorist, dacoit or a thief. He said let them keep sending summonses, “As many summonses you send, I will build that many more schools”. Shri Kejriwal shared it on the ‘X’ social media platform too.
Speaking at the foundation laying ceremony of a magnificent new school building at Kondli here on Friday, Shri Arvind Kejriwal said, “These days, notice after notice are being sent to me every day. Sometimes CBI notices, sometimes ED notices, sometimes Income Tax notices, sometimes Delhi Police notices. They have unleashed all the agencies after me as if I am the biggest terrorist of the country, as if I am the biggest dacoit of the country, I am the biggest thief of the country,” he said.
Continuing his attack against the BJP-ruled Central government, Shri Arvind Kejriwal said, “They are after me, but I am not worried about them. I have told them to keep sending me summons. As many summonses you send, I will build that many more schools. You follow your belief; I will follow mine. Your faith is to frame false cases, send summons, all negative work is your faith. My faith is to build schools, hospitals, provide education to the poor, and serve the people. You are only greedy for power; I am only greedy for service. I will only serve the people.”
He said that the Bharatiya Janata Party-led Centre neither wants to do anything for the people nor does it allow him to function properly in the interest of Delhiites. “They created so many obstacles for me to do my work. They said Delhi is not a full-fledged state. I said why you have given it that status, that too, when it is the national capital. Give it full statehood. But they want to put a halt to every work, not allowing any work to be done. I tell them to do good work, you also do it, let us do it too. Let us work together. But they won’t. Has the BJP central government done one thing for the people of Delhi? Neither will you do it yourself, nor will you let me do it,” he said.
The Chief Minister said how can the BJP question the integrity of a person who is giving electricity for free and has made healthcare facilities free for the people of Delhi. “The BJP calls Kejriwal a thief. I made everyone’s electricity free in Delhi. Wherever their (BJP) government is in power, take any state like Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, electricity is quite expensive there. If I were a thief, I would also have made electricity expensive and would have taken money from the power companies. Is he a thief who makes electricity free or is he a thief who makes electricity expensive? So many hospitals were opened in Delhi, so many mohalla clinics were opened, everyone’s treatment was made free, all medicines were made free, all surgeries were made free. Go to their states, the condition of government hospitals is bad. They are closing government hospitals and private hospitals there have been looting. The one who provides free treatment to the poor is a thief or the one who gives expensive treatment to the poor is a thief,” he said.
Criticising the BJP for calling senior AAP leader Manish Sisodia a dishonest person, CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal said it is Shri Sisodia who is responsible for the turnaround of the government schools in Delhi. “They say Manish Sisodia is a thief. Manish Sisodia has made a future for the children of the poor of Delhi. Manish Sisodia provided good education to the children of the poor. Look at their states, they have closed all the government schools in their respective states. The one who provides good education to the children of the poor is a thief or the one who closes the government schools for the poor is a thief,” said the AAP National Convenor.
Referring to the highly inflated water bills received by consumers in Delhi, Shri Kejriwal said, “I know that at this time the water bills are messed up. Don’t worry about it, I am coming up with a complete plan to fix it. Anyone who feels that their water bill is being messed up, there is no need to pay it, we will fix it for everyone.”
Seeking blessings of the people of Delhi, the Chief Minister said, “You guys keep giving me your love, keep showering your blessings. I owe you a lot. I was a small man who used to work in the slums of Delhi. You people picked me up from there and gave me such a big responsibility. I can’t repay your favour even in seven lifetimes. I don’t care about all these goons who chase me. These goons have no capacity to fight your blessings.
