Aam Aadmi Party’s Senior leader and Rajya Sabha MP Shri Sanjay Singh observed a fast on Friday by offering prayers and flowers to the image of ‘Bharat India’ inside the jail. From within the confinement, the Senior AAP leader has given a message to stand united for the protection of Bharat Mata. Upon the invitation of the AAP MP, those who are supporting Shri Sanjay Singh’s pledge to protect Bharat Mata, across his residence, party offices, and the entire country, have organized the offering of prayers and flowers and fasting for Bharat Mata, under the ‘Bharat Mata Sankalp Vrat’.

Abiding MP Shri Sanjay Singh’s message, every Friday, AAP workers will observe a fast by offering prayers to the image of Bharat Mata in all districts across the entire Uttar Pradesh. This fast is the ‘Bharat Mata Raksha Sankalp Vrat,’ with the following aims:

  1. Crores of sons and daughters of Bharat Mata are stuck in the quagmire of unemployment. The government deceived the youth by promising to provide 2 crores of jobs annually. Let us all pledge by fasting to strengthen the voice for youth employment.
  2. Undermining national security, the Agni Veer scheme was mishandled. The brave army of the country was weakened, and the defense budget worth ₹65,000 crores was not spent. Let us pledge by fasting to strengthen the sentiment of sacrifice among the youth, reinstating army recruitment as before.
  3. China is intruding into the country’s borders. Our 20 soldiers lost their lives, and every day, our brave soldiers are falling in Kashmir, while our government is increasing trade with China worth lakhs crores.
  4. 750 farmers sacrificed their lives against the black laws. The government labelled the food providers as anti-nationals, Pakistanis, and Khalistanis. The government promised to double the MSP but it turned out to be a lie. Let us pledge by fasting to raise the voices of farmers.
  5. A. Modi Ji is not working for the country but for his friends, selling the assets of Bharat Mata at throwaway prices to his cronies.

B. The Modi government forgave ₹13 lakh crores of their friends, but they didn’t waive the debts of farmers, youth, and women.

C. India has become the world’s 5th-largest economy. However, in terms of per capita income, India ranks 109th. 81 crore people in the country stand in line every month for 5 kilograms of rations. 1% of the population owns 80% of the country’s wealth, indicating the distress of crores of Bharat Mata’s children, compelled to live in scarcity. As the rich get richer, the poor get poorer. 23 crore people in the country survive on a daily income of ₹40. Whether the economy becomes 5 trillion or 50 trillion, what does the poor get?

D. A farmer with a debt of ₹2.5 lakh goes to jail while Adani holds a debt of ₹2.5 lakh crores. This inequality needs to be eradicated. The country is dear to all of us; our brave sons sacrificed their lives for the freedom of Bharat Mata, and their families also sacrificed for our independence. Today, our happiness is locked in the treasure chest of a few capitalists. Let’s pledge every Friday to realize the dream of our braveheart by observing the ‘Bharat Mata Raksha Sankalp Vrat’ to raise our voices on these issues and also provide meals to the needy. Let everyone, according to their religion, pray, fast, and make resolutions as Indian citizens.

The AAP MP has given a message of staying united for the country’s defense from jail. The Rajya Sabha MP shared, “If possible, people of every caste and religion should offer prayers and garlands to Bharat Mata one day a week and observe a fast. This will strengthen our morale and fortify our resolve. A repetition of movements like the JP (Jayaprakash Narayan) movement is necessary to save democracy in the country. Inflation, unemployment, misrule, and tyranny have distressed the entire nation. For this fight, we have to struggle from the streets to the jails. Our strength lies in the blessings of our Bharat Mata, who is not only our strength but also our divine mother.”

The Central government is perturbed by the increasing popularity and public welfare activities of the AAP. It is attempting to thwart the party’s growing steps through the arrest of AAP leaders. In this sequence, Member of Parliament Shri Sanjay Singh was arrested on false charges on October 4, yet even after that, he did not abandon the fight for the protection of democracy. Despite being in jail, he is dedicated to social work. While in jail, he is studying the books of great revolutionaries and making every possible effort to keep the fight for the protection of democracy alive.
