Dr Sandeep Kumar Pathak currently serves as the General Secretary Organisation for Aam Aadmi Party, and as the Rajya Sabha MP from Punjab since April 2022. Born in Bataha village in Mungeli, Chhattisgarh, to agriculturist parents, his educational journey began in his village, extending to Bilaspur for further studies.

Dr. Pathak is widely known for his exceptional grasp of numbers and strong organisational hold. He has played a key role in the victory of AAP in the 2022 Punjab elections.

After completing his masters in Chhattisgarh, Dr Pathak continued his education at the Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, Hyderabad, and the National Chemical Laboratory, Pune. His academic pursuits led him to the University of Cambridge, where he earned a PhD. in high-temperature superconducting materials.

Following his doctoral studies, Dr Pathak engaged in post-doctoral research as a research associate at the University of Oxford and MIT. This diverse academic background, coupled with his roots in rural Chhattisgarh, adds depth to his role as a political representative, bringing a unique perspective to the Aam Aadmi Party.
