In protest against the incident of rape of a four-year-old innocent girl in Pandav Nagar, Delhi, the Aam Aadmi Party on Monday gheraoed the Mandawali Police Station and submitted a memorandum to the police. AAP workers, under the leadership of INDIA Alliance candidate from East Delhi Lok Sabha seat, Shri Kuldeep Kumar, gheraoed the police station and expressed their outrage by raising slogans against Delhi Police and demanded justice for the victim’s family. During this, Shri Kuldeep Kumar said that the culprits should be given death sentence by trial in the fast track court. He also appealed to the LG to improve law and order and ensure a safe environment for sisters and daughters in Delhi. If the victim’s family does not get justice, then in the coming days they will gherao the houses of the LG and the Home Minister.
Shri Kuldeep Kumar, senior leader of Aam Aadmi Party and candidate from East Delhi Lok Sabha seat from INDIA Alliance, said that strict action should be taken against the culprits in the rape case of a four-year old girl in Pandav Nagar area, as soon as possible. They should be tried in a fast track court and given death sentences, so that in the future no one will be able to look at our sisters and daughters. The crime rate in Delhi is continuously increasing. Such incidents are being seen and heard regularly in Delhi. Therefore, Delhi Police will have to provide a safe environment to our sisters and daughters.
The AAP candidate further said that ever since Shri Vinay Kumar Saxena has become the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, their focus is not on Delhi Police and law and order but only on getting photographs taken with garbage at small places. LG should take cognizance of the law and order situation of Delhi and work to provide a safe environment to our sisters and daughters. The Bharatiya Janata Party has seven MPs in Delhi but till date, they have not taken any concrete step on the law and order situation of Delhi.
“The law and order situation in Delhi relies on the grace of God now. LG Vinay Kumar Saxena should take cognizance of this issue and provide a safe environment to the people of entire Delhi and take strict action against such culprits. If strict action is not taken against these culprits, then next time we will gherao the LG House and Home Minister Amit Shah’s residence”, he said. During the gherao of Mandawali police station, a large number of people, including AAP workers, participated. During this, people also raised slogans against the police administration.
It is noteworthy that the Aam Aadmi Party on Sunday had strongly condemned the BJP ruled central government and Delhi Police in the case of rape of a four-year old innocent girl and for the collapsing law and order situation in Delhi. The incidents of murder, ransom, rape and theft are continuously increasing in Delhi. During this time, he had also announced to siege the police station to fight the ever increasing crime rate in Delhi and to provide justice to the four year old girl.
