Today being Martyr’s Day compels us to think whether we are living in the india as envisioned by our revolutionary freedom fighters. Did Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Shaheed Sukhdev and Shaheed Rajguru, sacrifice their lives so that a select few Indians consolidate the country’s wealth or where farmers are forced to take their own lives. Did they make the ultimate sacrifice for a country where countrymen fight each other over religion?

Aam Aadmi Party, Maharashtra organised an event to commemorate Martyr’s Day at Thane. Taking inspiration from revolutionary youth leaders Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev  Aam Aadmi Party,  launched AAP Youth Wing, Maharashtra Chapter.

The programme included patriotic songs, skits, dance and speeches.

Each volunteer was asked to introspect their role in nation building and to take a pledge to dedicate their lives in the service of our country men and towards a corruption free India
