NEW DELHI:

In a bold move aimed at addressing pressing issues plaguing the nation, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) unveiled its campaign anthem, “Jail ka Jawab Vote Se,” at the party headquarters on Thursday. Reflecting the party’s stance on the current political landscape, the song highlights concerns over dictatorial governance, unemployment, inflation, and alleged conspiracy targeting opposition leaders, including CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal. Penned and voiced by senior AAP leader and Timarpur MLA Dilip Pandey, the anthem serves as a clarion call to the public, warning of impending threats should the BJP ascend to power. With the third phase of its campaign set to kick off on April 27, the AAP plans to engage with the electorate through various platforms, including messages of CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal through Smt. Sunita Kejriwal and senior leaders like Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann, who will spearhead election meetings and door-to-door campaigns across the nation.

During the launch of the election campaign song, senior AAP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Shri Sanjay Singh, AAP Delhi State Convenor and Cabinet Minister Shri Gopal Rai, National Secretary of the party Shri Pankaj Gupta, Chief Whip of Delhi Assembly Shri Dilip Pandey, Cabinet Minister Shri Imran Hussain, Deputy Speaker of Delhi Assembly Rakhi Bidlan, MCD in-charge Shri Durgesh Pathak, Mayor Dr. Shelly Oberoi, Communication In-charge Shri Jasmine Shah and Shri Adil Khan were present.

During this, senior AAP leader and Rajya Sabha Shri MP Sanjay Singh said that a chair has been left vacant here for Shri Arvind Kejriwal. Whatever programs were held in this courtyard, whether it was a demonstration, movement or preparation related to the election, we could see Shri Arvind Kejriwal during that time. He stood firmly with the party workers, Delhiites and worked together with them raising his voice.

The AAP Rajya Sabha MP further added that today there is a dictatorial government in the country, which has sent the three-time elected CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal to jail. Shri Arvind Kejriwal is the Chief Minister who has got the biggest majority in the history of independent India. In 2015, Shri Arvind Kejriwal got 67 out of 70 seats in Delhi. When the government was formed for the first time in 2013, the AAP had won 28 seats. In the 2020 elections, the AAP won 62 seats. “In this journey of 10 years, under the leadership of Shri Arvind Kejriwal, we formed governments in two states. Like Delhi, all parties were wiped out in Punjab. There, the AAP won 92 out of 117 seats. In Goa, it got 6.5% votes and two MLAs, while in Gujarat, it got 14% votes and 5 MLAs. At the same time, it won the mayoral election in Madhya Pradesh, many won the elections of president, district panchayat member and councillor in Uttar Pradesh. After this, the Delhiites swept and cleaned the garbage of the BJP that had been sitting in the MCD for 15 years,” he added.

Shri Sanjay Singh continued that the BJP can never win in Delhi. The BJP has realized this now. That is why BJP hatched a deep conspiracy to put Shri Arvind Kejriwal in jail. After this, topple the Delhi government, finish off the AAP. The BJP folks are the dacoits and robbers of democracy in this country. These people work to rob the votes of the people and the elected governments. They work to rob the governments of the opposition. The BJP got ED, CBI, and Income Tax Department raids done in Uttarakhand, Arunachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, threatened people with imprisonment and toppled governments by poaching the MLAs.

“In the last 10 years, BJP-led Narendra Modi’s government has done the same thing. I want to tell the country with full responsibility that if by mistake the BJP wins, then the 2024 elections will be the last elections. After this, no one will have the right to vote, because the BJP does not believe in the constitution of Baba Saheb Dr. Ambedkar. The BJP only believes in the constitution of RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat. Bhagwat’s constitution says that reservation for Dalits, backward classes and tribals should be abolished. The rights of women, farmers and youth should be abolished. The BJP people want to implement Bhagwat’s constitution in the country and want to end elections,” he mentioned.

The AAP Rajya Sabha MP stated that the AAP candidate was winning the Chandigarh mayor election, but the BJP cheated. When the matter went to the Supreme Court, the Chief Justice caught them red-handed stealing votes on camera. At the same time, in Surat, Gujarat, this is the first such incident after India’s independence in which the ruling party candidate won without any elections. Therefore, Surat is just a glimpse, it will be replicated in the whole country. They have just finished the elections in Surat. After this, they will finish the elections in the whole country. If we want to save Delhi and the country, then the BJP has to be defeated. “We appeal to Delhiites to take the Lok Sabha campaign song of the AAP to every house. In 2024, Modi ji had said that after checking the cylinder at home, the price of an LPG cylinder was ₹400, which has become ₹1100 today. Now I am appealing to you, on May 25, when you go to vote, then definitely go after checking the cylinder at home, go after checking your motorcycle, in which you have filled petrol at ₹120 per litre. Also go and see the diesel vehicle in which diesel has been filled at the rate of ₹100 per litre. Also go and see the mustard oil can in which mustard oil has been bought at the rate of ₹250 per litre,” he added.

Shri Sanjay Singh mentioned, “The BJP has made inflation and unemployment sky-high. In the name of ‘Agniveer’, they have stabbed the youth in the back. On the other hand, your son and brother Shri Arvind Kejriwal has built good schools for education in Delhi, built Mohalla Clinics for health, and brought the Farishtey scheme. Started free bus travel for mothers and sisters, started pilgrimage for the elderly and announced a scheme to give ₹1000 per month to mothers and sisters. Your son has worked day and night for you, now it is your responsibility. Narendra Modi has put your son in jail, you have to answer this with your vote. All of you should spread Shri Arvind Kejriwal’s message to every home. Today the business class of the entire country is unhappy. They are saying that a person from our society was the Chief Minister of Delhi, they arrested him and put him in jail. There is anger among the businesspersons, youth, mothers, elderly of the country due to the arrest of Shri Arvind Kejriwal. We have to convert our anger into votes. The biggest power of democracy is on your fingertip. Make Shri Arvind Kejriwal and AAP win. ‘Answer the jail with your vote’ by casting your vote for ‘jhadu’ on 25th May.”

During this, AAP Delhi State Convenor Shri Gopal Rai said that to give more momentum to the ‘Jail ka Jawab Vote se’ campaign, today the party is launching the theme song for the Lok Sabha elections. A few days ago, the AAP, led by Arvind Kejriwal, started the campaign for the Lok Sabha elections from here. Then we gave the slogan “Sansad mein bhi Kejriwal”. But we did not know that the Prime Minister of the country and the BJP government sitting at the Centre are so scared of Shri Arvind Kejriwal that they will put him in jail. Today Shri Arvind Kejriwal is not among us, but the way the government is running under his leadership while he is in jail, in the same way the AAP is also conducting the Lok Sabha elections on the basis of his ideas.

The AAP Delhi State Convenor stated that the AAP started the first phase of door-to-door election campaign inside Delhi on 8 April. Since then, about 200 teams are continuously going door to door with Shri Arvind Kejriwal’s message. “We have been successful in reaching his message to about 7 lakh houses. After the door-to-door campaign, in the second phase we have started the ‘Jail ka Jawab Vote se’ ‘Sankalp Sabha’ campaign. In the ‘Sankalp Sabha’ we have received support from every section of the society, including the elderly, youth and women of Delhi. Today, after putting Shri Arvind Kejriwal in jail, the Lok Sabha elections in Delhi are turning into a movement. Delhiites are eagerly waiting for 25 May. People are counting each day as to when 25 May will come, and they will be able to answer the jail with their votes. For this, the election campaign is going on in the whole of Delhi.

Shri Gopal Rai further said that the AAP is launching the theme song ‘Jail Ka Jawab Vote Se’ to take the election campaign forward more strongly so that Arvind Kejriwal’s message can be conveyed to the public. The party’s theme song has played an important role in the last election as well. We are confident that this theme song will also play an important role in this election, and we will be able to give a reply to this dictator government with the help of our votes along with the people of Delhi. This theme song will help in bringing people together across Delhi. The next phase of the party’s election campaign is going to start from April 27. Shri Arvind Kejriwal’s wife Smt. Sunita Kejriwal will also go among the people with his message. The whole party will fight together against the dictatorship, oppression and tyranny going on in the country by following the idea of Shri Arvind Kejriwal.

The AAP Delhi State Convenor affirmed that the way the language of the country’s Prime Minister has changed after the first phase is an indication that the slogan of the BJP’s 400 plus is completely hollow. The people of the country have indicated the ‘BJP’s defeat this time’ by exercising their right to vote in the first phase itself. In Delhi too, under the leadership of INDIA alliance, we will answer the dictatorship of the BJP on all seven seats. We will defeat the BJP on all seven seats of Delhi and will answer this dictatorship and jail with our votes.

The theme song of the AAP’s campaign for Lok Sabha elections has been written and sung by AAP MLA from Timarpur, Shri Dilip Pandey. Regarding the theme song, Shri Dilip Pandey said that all the election campaign songs of the AAP launched so far have shown the sentiments of the public. The commitment, resistance of any political party, we are against and their promises, the entire campaign is based on these two things. Our campaign song reflects the feelings of the people. The things mentioned in the title of this song are the reality of this society. Exactly the same is happening under the misrule of the BJP. Those who opposed the BJP were put in jail. Jharkhand CM was put in jail, Congress’s account was frozen. AAP leaders Shri Arvind Kejriwal, Shri Manish Sisodia, Shri Satyender Jain, Shri Vijay Nair were arrested. Those who raised their voice against the BJP were arrested and those who gave money to the BJP were acquitted. The BJP took ₹60 crores from Sarath Chandra Reddy and granted him bail.

“The BJP has sold everything, including Coal India, ONGC. Sports grounds are being auctioned. The BJP is against Baba Saheb’s constitution. This song also talks about the fact that this country will not be run by a person sitting in Nagpur. This song tells about the upcoming dangers that if the BJP comes to power by any means, then the constitution of this country will change. This election will be the last in the country. If the BJP comes to power, it will abolish reservation and bring its own system, so that only its people can benefit. The AAP talks about good education, electricity, water, health, infrastructure, taking the country on the path of progress. We hope that through this song we will be able to reach our message to the people very easily and successfully,” Shri Dilip Pandey concluded.

CM Arvind Kejriwal’s chair was kept empty on the stage

While launching its theme song for the Lok Sabha elections, the AAP left a middle chair empty for the party’s National Convenor and Delhi CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal. Party leaders were sitting next to him. MP Shri Sanjay Singh said about the chair left empty for Shri Arvind Kejriwal that whatever programs have been held in this courtyard till now, whether it was a demonstration, a movement or preparations related to the elections, we could see Shri Arvind Kejriwal during that time. He stood firmly with the party workers, the people of Delhi and worked with them by raising his voice.
