The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has once again exposed the BJP government, which is claiming Arogya Mandirs as its achievement. AAP’s Delhi state President Saurabh Bharadwaj shared on social media platform X the findings of a ground-level investigation conducted by a karyakarta (party worker), placing the BJP’s deception before the public.
The video clearly exposes that the BJP government has done nothing more than repaint existing MCD dispensaries and rebrand them as Arogya Mandirs. Saurabh Bharadwaj stated that the facilities the BJP is claiming as its achievement are still being operated by the same MCD staff. He added that instead of delivering real work on the ground, the Rekha Gupta government is resorting to superficial paint-and-polish politics to mislead the people of Delhi.
On Thursday, senior AAP leader and Delhi State President Saurabh Bharadwaj shared a video on X and stated that the reality of the Arogya Mandir inaugurated by CM Rekha Gupta in Hari Nagar on Wednesday is something else altogether. “Existing MCD dispensaries have simply been repainted and rebranded as Arogya Mandirs, and the existing MCD staff and doctors are continuing to work there,” he said.
In the video shared by Saurabh Bharadwaj, an AAP karyakarta said that the BJP is indulging in deceitful politics and that the public will definitely respond to it. The AAP karyakarta showed on the spot that just 50 steps away, there was a Mohalla Clinic that had been built with taxpayers’ money.
She said, “Today, that Mohalla Clinic has been locked, and public money has been wasted.” In its place, a 30-year-old MCD dispensary, which was a maternal and child health center, has been turned into an Arogya Mandir by putting up posters and changing its color.
Regarding the Arogya Mandir opened in the Nangal Raya area, the AAP karyakarta said that at the place where he was standing, another Arogya Mandir has been opened just 10 steps away. She stated that within a radius of 500 meters, five such Arogya Mandirs have been opened. “The Mohalla Clinics that were built during Arvind Kejriwal’s tenure, whose infrastructure was created using taxpayers’ money, have now been locked,” she added.
She said that by wasting taxpayers’ money, 35-year-old MCD dispensaries are being cosmetically renovated and converted into Arogya Mandirs. She suggested to the BJP government in Delhi that it would be better to let MCD facilities remain dispensaries and instead run the already existing Mohalla Clinics as Arogya Mandirs.
In the video, the worker showed several dispensaries one after another. While showing another dispensary, he said that public money is being wasted in this manner and people are being misled. After that, he showed a third Arogya Mandir just 50 steps away and said that only cosmetic work is being done in these Arogya Mandirs.
The AAP karyakarta concluded by saying that inside, it is the same old dispensary, the same old furniture, and the same treatment; there is no change at all. She added, “Only the name has been changed, posters have been put up, and the color has been altered. The government should not play with the health of the public. The people will one day surely give a reply to this politics of paint, deception, and deceit
