The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) swept the Tarn Taran bypoll with a historic mandate, crushing the Shiromani Akali Dal, Congress and BJP candidates who never came close during Friday’s counting. The over 12,000-vote victory electrified the party ranks, as National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal, Punjab Prabhari Manish Sisodia, National General Secretary (Organisation) Dr Sandeep Pathak, Delhi unit president Saurabh Bharadwaj and AAP National Media In-charge Anurag Dhanda hailed the result and congratulated the people of Punjab and AAP workers.
AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal took to ‘X’ and wrote: “The historic victory in the Tarn Taran byelection has made it clear that the people of Punjab prefer the politics of work and the honest leadership of Bhagwant Mann ji. Punjab has once again placed its trust in the Aam Aadmi Party. This victory belongs to the people, it is the victory of every hardworking party worker. Heartiest congratulations to the people of Punjab and to all our workers.”
Meanwhile, senior AAP leader and Punjab Prabhari Manish Sisodia congratulated the people and party workers on the victory in the Tarn Taran byelection and said, “Bringing the Tarn Taran seat back into AAP’s account is a major achievement. This is not a matter of arrogance, but if you look carefully, the people of Punjab have once again rejected the Akali Dal, Congress and BJP. Earlier, on the Ludhiana urban seat, Hindu, Punjabi, Sikh and Muslim communities together gave the Aam Aadmi Party a bumper and historic victory. Now on a rural seat like Tarn Taran, we have again secured a historic win. This is clear proof that Arvind Kejriwal and Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann reside in the hearts of the people of Punjab.”
On the other hand, AAP National General Secretary (Organisation) Dr Sandeep Pathak said on X, “This is a historic victory. Heartiest congratulations to Sardar Harmeet Singh Sandhu of the Aam Aadmi Party in the Tarn Taran byelection. The people of Punjab prefer the politics of work and the honest leadership of Bhagwant Mann ji. Many congratulations to all our workers.”
Meanwhile, AAP Delhi State President Saurabh Bharadwaj stated, “The Aam Aadmi Party has won again in the Punjab byelection. The Arvind Kejriwal–Bhagwant Mann partnership continues to shine. After the Ludhiana byelection and the Gujarat byelection, this is another spectacular victory.”
AAP National Media In-charge Anurag Dhanda also took to X and wrote, “In the Tarn Taran byelection, the candidates of both the Congress and the BJP lost their deposits. This means the people of Punjab have rejected the politics of both these parties. The people have stamped their approval on the work done by the Bhagwant Mann government. Heartiest congratulations to all our workers.”
