Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Friday slammed the Gujarat government for allowing “open injustice” against farmers across the state’s marketing yards, where cultivators are being denied fair prices for their crops. Pointing out that BJP leaders have “captured” these yards and harassing farmers, the AAP Chief said AAP would fight for farmers’ rights “both on the streets and inside the Assembly” until every farmer gets his due. He cited the ongoing protest at Botad Yard, where AAP leader Raju Bhai Karpada is sitting on a dharna with thousands of farmers demanding justice.
AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal took to X and wrote: “There is open injustice being done to farmers in Gujarat’s marketing yards. They are not getting the fair price for their hard-earned crops. Instead, BJP leaders have captured these yards and are harassing the farmers.”
The AAP Chief further wrote: “At Botad Yard, Aam Aadmi Party leader Raju Bhai Karpada is sitting on a protest along with thousands of farmers to fight for their rights. Until farmers get their rightful due, the Aam Aadmi Party will fight this battle both on the streets and inside the Assembly.”
