Despite reclaiming power in Delhi after 27 years, the BJP has failed to shift its focus from engaging in mudslinging against the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) to actual governance. AAP’s chief spokesperson, Priyanka Kakkar, has slammed the BJP for indulging in abusive politics instead of fulfilling its promises to the people.
The Chief AAP Spokesperson pointed out that the BJP had promised to pass a proposal in its first cabinet meeting to provide ₹2,500 per month to women by 8th March, a commitment that remains unfulfilled. AAP has urged the BJP to shift its focus from rhetoric to delivering on its promises to the people of Delhi.
AAP chief spokesperson Priyanka Kakkar, in a media interaction, said, “The AAP has been saying this all along, and now the people of Delhi can see it for themselves. Earlier, the BJP did nothing but hurl abuses at AAP and create obstacles in the way of our government’s work. Now, even after coming to power in Delhi after 27 years, their focus remains the same—abusing AAP instead of governing.”
She further said, “Delhi needs good governance. During the assembly elections, the BJP promised that in its very first cabinet meeting, it would pass a proposal to give ₹2,500 per month to every woman in Delhi. They also assured that the first installment would be credited by 8th March.”
“Now that they are in power, AAP urges them to act responsibly and fulfil the promises they made to the people, instead of indulging in blame games and political mudslinging,” said Priyanka Kakkar.
