Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Saturday conducted a mega roadshow in support of Aam Aadmi Party candidates Rakhi Bidlan from Madipur, Surinder Setia from Hari Nagar, Praveen Kumar from Janakpuri, and Joginder Solanki from Palam. He also addressed a Jansabha in Chandni Chowk, urging people to vote for Punardeep Singh Sahni. During his speech, he stated that a clear voice is emerging from across Delhi—once again, the people of Delhi are going to entrust Arvind Kejriwal with the responsibility of reducing their household expenses.
During his speech, CM Bhagwant Mann said that on February 5, the people of Delhi will decide their future for the next five years. “Wherever we go, people tell us, ‘You don’t need to worry; Kejriwal is our brother, our son. We will bring him back.’ Last time too, you showed us love, and we expect the same this time. Arvind Kejriwal is the only leader who delivers on his promises. We don’t rely on slogans. Once you press the broom button on February 5, your responsibility ends, and ours begins. These people (opposition) have a lot of money. They may come to distribute cash, so don’t refuse it. That money belongs to the people anyway. But on February 5, make sure to press the broom button.”
CM Bhagwant Mann stated that on February 5, Delhi’s people will decide who will manage their household expenses. Will their expenses increase or decrease? Arvind Kejriwal’s policies prioritize common households, ensuring benefits through schemes like children’s education, healthcare, electricity, water, free travel for women, and elderly medical care. If AAP returns to power, all women in Delhi will receive ₹2,100 every month under the Mahila Samman Yojana. “This isn’t Modi’s ₹15 lakh promise but Kejriwal’s ₹2,100, which is guaranteed. Under the Sanjeevani Scheme, all senior citizens above 60 years will receive completely free medical treatment, whether in government or private hospitals.”
CM Bhagwant Mann further stated that if people vote for AAP, every Delhiite will benefit directly by ₹20,000–₹25,000. However, if they vote for the BJP, all funds will be diverted to Adani. “On one side, we have those who promote education, and on the other, those who incite fights. One side takes public money to help their billionaire friends, while the other puts it back into people’s pockets. These people might offer you ₹2,000–₹4,000 now to buy your votes, but remember, those who are buying you today will sell you for the next five years. They may give you a few bucks now, but later, when you seek assistance, they will demand lakhs from you.”
CM Bhagwant Mann also pointed out that Arvind Kejriwal, being a former IRS officer, keeps a meticulous record of financial matters. If the BJP makes families lose ₹25,000–₹26,000 monthly, living in Delhi will become difficult for the common people. “They think about themselves, but we think about the common man’s household. Today, 90% of homes in Punjab get free electricity. In three years, I have provided government jobs to 50,000 young people. If you have relatives in Punjab, call and ask them. Arvind Kejriwal hands books and pencils to children for education, while these people put sticks and swords in their hands to incite violence. We don’t play divisive politics. 99% of people trust Arvind Kejriwal’s ₹2,100 Scheme, while those promising ₹2,500 earlier had promised ₹15 lakh but never delivered.”
During the roadshow in Hari Nagar, a woman informed CM Bhagwant Mann that her family saves over ₹20,000 every month due to Arvind Kejriwal’s policies. She explained that six members of her family receive treatment at Mohalla Clinics, saving around ₹3,000 per month. Free bus travel for women saves them at least ₹1,000 per month. Her son studies in a government school, saving ₹5,000 monthly. Free electricity cuts costs by ₹4,000–₹5,000, while a zero water bill saves another ₹1,000. With the Sanjeevani Scheme, elderly family members will save at least ₹1,500 per month on checkups, and under the Mahila Samman Yojana, three women in her household will receive ₹2,100 each.
