AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal today visited Lehar-2024, a two-day art exhibition organized by the Delhi Government’s Schools of Specialized Excellence (ASOSE) in Performing and Visual Arts (PVA) at the Shankar Children’s Center, Chanakyapuri. On the final day of the event, he interacted with students, admired their work, and commended their exceptional artistic talent.Speaking about the occasion, Arvind Kejriwal tweeted, “When children are provided with the right environment and facilities, their talent and confidence can work wonders. Ten years ago, even basic amenities were lacking in government schools. Today, those very schools are producing children who are making their mark through music, dance, and art. These children are the shining future of India.”Themed “Parat: Interweaving the Layers of History, Memory, and the Passage of Time”, Lehar-2024 delves into the cultural and historical aspects of Indian arts. It inspires students to explore the hidden layers of their surroundings and express their creativity through music, visual arts, filmmaking, acting, and media studies.Curated entirely by students, the exhibition featured: • Visual Art Displays: A gallery showcasing paintings, sculptures, miniature art, and block printing inspired by Indian traditions. • Interactive Stalls and Live Art: Demonstrations of traditional Indian art techniques alongside modern digital creations. • Performances: Live renditions of Indian classical and Western music added vibrancy to the event. • Media & Film Stalls: Photography, cinematography, and short films created by students demonstrated their storytelling and technical expertise. • Immersive Workshops: Visitors engaged in hands-on activities, further exploring this year’s theme.The Lehar-2024 exhibition represents the culmination of AAP’s commitment to fostering artistic talent within Delhi’s government schools. Established in 2021, the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Schools of Specialized Excellence (ASOSE) in Performing and Visual Arts offer specialized education in Indian and Western music, filmmaking, acting, visual arts, and media studies.
