AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal led a massive padyatra in Malviya Nagar Assembly on Saturday with local MLA Somnath Bharti. He highlighted a decade of governance reforms—24×7 electricity, world-class schools, and accessible healthcare—urging voters to strengthen AAP’s mandate for continued progress.
AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal stated that Assembly elections are just around the corner. For the last ten years, we have worked tirelessly with Delhi’s two crore citizens to accomplish many tasks in the city. Earlier, Delhi used to face long power cuts, and electricity bills were extremely high. Now, there is 24 hours electricity supply, with many people receiving zero bills, while others benefit from significantly reduced rates.
Arvind Kejriwal highlighted, “We’ve also brought tremendous improvement to education. Government schools have become so good that even many of the wealthy are now sending their children there. Similarly, Hospitals have been transformed and Mohalla Clinics have been set up everywhere.”
The AAP Supremo addressed the issue of inflated water bills, stating, “I have learned that many people have received water bills that are unusually high and incorrect. If you feel your bill is wrong, there’s no need to pay it—we will waive them off once our government is re-elected. We are already providing 20,000 litres of free water.”
Arvind Kejriwal concluded by saying, “We have done a lot of work. You’ve trusted us and given us your support multiple times. Last time, you gave us 62 out of 70 seats, and before that, 67 out of 70 seats. I hope this time, too, you will give us a strong majority to continue the work we’ve started.”
Arvind Kejriwal receives warm welcome in Malviya Nagar
As soon as Arvind Kejriwal arrived in the Malviya Nagar Assembly constituency for the padyatra on Saturday evening, a large crowd gathered to meet him. The local residents gave him a grand welcome by garlanding him with flowers and draping him with shawls.
During the padyatra, he interacted with shopkeepers, women, elderly people, and children, greeting each one personally. Many shook hands with him and clicked selfies. Local AAP MLA Somnath Bharti and other leaders were also present.
Elderly citizens showered Arvind Kejriwal with blessings. An elderly woman became emotional upon seeing him, and he comforted her by wiping her tears and reassuring her of his commitment to serving them. Many seniors embraced him warmly.
Arvind Kejriwal received immense love and blessings from the public during the padyatra. A significant number of women participated, with many garlanding him and others eagerly taking selfies. Children also joined in, taking photos with their beloved leader and shaking hands with him.
