Senior AAP Leader Manish Sisodia visited the revered Shri Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga Mandir in Ujjain today. Paying obeisance to Lord Shiva on the occasion, Manish Sisodia prayed for the peace & harmony in Delhi and the entire nation. He particularly sought blessings on behalf of all the children of the country, praying that every child gets access to the highest standards of education.
Immersing himself in a deeply spiritual experience that he described as life-transforming, Manish Sisodia spent over two hours in the divine presence of Baba Shiv, including witnessing the mesmerizing Bhasma Aarti, an iconic ritual of the temple. Reflecting on his visit, he stated, “Every moment during those two to three hours felt as though everything was dissolving in the divine court of Mahakal. The Bhasma Aarti especially was an extraordinary experience. It felt as if all ego, pain, desires, and worldly concerns were merging into the five elements. The divine energy of Mahakal filled me with immense peace and humility.”
He also expressed gratitude for the arrangements at the temple and the profound spiritual resonance of the environment. “Everything here resonates with Lord Shiva. Sitting at Baba’s feet, I prayed for the happiness, prosperity, and good health of the people of Delhi and for every household in the nation to experience peace, love, and happiness,” he added. Manish Sisodia shared his heartfelt prayer: “As someone deeply connected to education, I prayed that every child in the country and the world receives the best possible education. May Mahakal guide me to serve this cause better.”
Manish Sisodia further elaborated on the spiritual teachings of Mahakal, stating that Lord Shiva is the foundation of creation and the eternal truth that transcends time and existence. He described Ujjain Mahakaleshwar as a manifestation of Shiva that reminds humanity of the impermanence of material possessions and the eternal nature of the soul.
Manish Sisodia also took to X (formerly Twitter), to describe his visit. He wrote, “This morning, I had the fortune of experiencing the divine presence of Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga in Ujjain. The mesmerizing and transcendent sight of Mahakal’s Bhasma Aarti deeply touched my soul. It was a unique experience—an encounter with the infinite grace and power of Lord Shiva. Mahakal, the master of time itself, through this Jyotirlinga, guides us beyond the cycle of time and death. Sitting at his feet, I prayed for the happiness, prosperity, and good health of the people of Delhi. I also prayed for the nation, wishing every household peace, love, and happiness. With Mahakaleshwar’s blessings, may our country always remain safe and prosperous. May Lord Shiva’s grace shine upon every devotee’s life. Har Har Mahadev. Jai Mahakal.”
In another tweet, he wrote, “Shiva is the foundation of creation. He is the eternal truth of existence, with neither a beginning nor an end. Shiva is both the origin and the infinite. He is the void into which everything dissolves and the infinity from which everything emerges. Mahakal is the form of Shiva that transcends the bounds of time. He is the master of time—the one who holds the power to destroy and recreate it. Mahakal teaches us that death is merely the end of the body, while the soul is eternal. Om Namah Shivaya.”
Talking about his experience, he wrote, “Mahakal’s Bhasma Aarti symbolizes the eternal truth that all material things ultimately merge into the five elements. It inspires us to renounce ego and attachment and recognize our true essence. I pray that every devotee experiences the spiritual truth of Lord Shiva in their lives. Har Har Mahadev. Om Mahakalaya Vidmahe, Mahadevaya Dhimahi. Tanno Rudrah Prachodayat.”
