AAP Delhi State Convenor and Cabinet Minister Gopal Rai addressed a Karyakarta Sammelan in the Chhatarpur Assembly constituency on Monday. The event witnessed the participation of a large number of party workers and supporters. Gopal Rai emphasized that the people of Delhi have resolved to re-elect Arvind Kejriwal for the city’s development. Chhattarpur Candidate Brahm Singh Tanwar was also present on the occasion with other party leaders.
Criticizing the BJP, Gopal Rai said, “While the Aam Aadmi Party is providing free electricity, water, quality education, healthcare, and bus travel for women, the BJP seeks to take away all these facilities. Through his ‘free ki revdis’, — Arvind Kejriwal is merely returning the people’s money to them.”
Gopal Rai also highlighted that AAP is the only party that has announced its first list of candidates for the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections, naming Brahm Singh Tanwar as the candidate from Chhatarpur. He added, “Over the past decade, the Kejriwal government has worked tirelessly for the people of Delhi, be it in providing free electricity, water, better schools, hospitals, women’s safety, senior citizens’ pilgrimages, or the development of unauthorized colonies and villages. These accomplishments, however, have irked BJP leaders, who have attempted to disrupt Delhi’s governance through political schemes like Operation Lotus.”
Gopal Rai accused the BJP of targeting AAP leaders with false charges to derail the government. He said, “They jailed our Health Minister Satyendar Jain, Education Minister Manish Sisodia, and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh, but they failed to stop our work. They even imprisoned Arvind Kejriwal, hoping the party would crumble, but they underestimated the strength of Delhi’s people and the resolve of AAP.”
Gopal Rai declared that while the BJP has CBI, ED, and monetary power, AAP has the blessings and trust of the people of Delhi. He urged Chhatarpur residents to elect Brahm Singh Tanwar with a historic majority, ensuring the continuation of the Kejriwal government’s work.
Further criticizing the BJP, he remarked, “While Arvind Kejriwal provides free electricity and water to the people, BJP leaders used to enjoy these privileges for free, and no one called it a ‘freebie.’ But when it benefits the people, they suddenly label it as ‘freebies.’ Arvind Kejriwal is committed to giving people their rightful share, ensuring that the government budget serves the public rather than the privileged few.”
He concluded by asserting that despite offering extensive free services, Delhi’s budget has grown from ₹30,000 crores to ₹75,000 crores under AAP’s governance, thanks to eliminating corruption and leakage. He emphasized that across Delhi, from villages to urban areas, the unanimous sentiment is that the next government will once again be led by Arvind Kejriwal.
