AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal vows to restart projects that have been stalled by the BJP for the last one year. The AAP chief assured Delhi residents that the AAP government will pull all the stops to get the works of Delhiites done, as it has been the case for 9 years in his administration. He emphasized that his administration has provided unparalleled services over the past decade, unmatched anywhere in the country.
Taking potshots at the BJP for halting critical public welfare initiatives, the AAP Supremo condemned BJP’s conspiracy to imprison AAP ministers, which has disrupted development for the past year, but vowed to accelerate progress with renewed vigor.
Addressing a press conference at the party headquarters on Monday, AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal said, “I want to assure the people of Delhi that it has been 10 years since we have been running the government in Delhi. In the last 9 years, we have not let you face any kind of trouble. Be it roads, hospitals or electricity. We tried to provide every kind of facility to the people of Delhi. The kind of facilities that the people of Delhi have been getting for the last ten years are not available anywhere else in the country.”
Addressing the people of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal stated that for the last one year Delhiites have witnessed how they (BJP) have put ministers in jail one after the other and tried to stall the work in Delhi, tried to stop the work in Delhi. Tried to derail the Delhi government. Despite that, we are doing everything that we can, and we are standing tall.
Assuring the people of Delhi, he affirmed, “Now I have come out of jail. I want to assure everyone that we are now paying attention to all the pending work and problems of the people in Delhi. It is our duty to solve your problems. I have come to know that there is a problem with medicines in hospitals and Mohalla Clinics.”
“These (BJP) people have stopped medicines. They have stopped free tests in hospitals and Mohalla Clinics. These people have also stopped the Farishte Yojana, under which free treatment was provided to anyone who met with a road accident in Delhi,” stated Arvind Kejriwal.
He said that these (BJP) people stopped the repair of roads. Stopped old age pension. In this way, many other works were stopped. Salaries of many home guards and many people were stopped. “Now we have started all those works. Whatever work was stopped, I have asked CM Atishi to start it and our government will start all those works. We will try to solve the problems faced by the people,” assured Arvind Kejriwal.
Meanwhile, Delhi CM Atishi shared on her ‘X’ handle (erstwhile Twitter): “To stop the work of the people of Delhi, the BJP central government hatched a conspiracy against Arvind Kejriwal ji and put him in jail. But now Delhiites’ son Arvind Kejriwal is out of jail. Under his guidance, the Delhi government is working on a war footing to make the city’s roads pothole-free.”
“Last week all the Cabinet Ministers of Delhi Government and “AAP” MLAs inspected every inch of 1400 Km (7000 lane Km) of PWD roads. After inspection, it was found that 89 roads need to be built afresh. Of which tenders have been issued for 74 roads and the remaining 15 roads are also in the tender process. Also, 2.53 lakh square meter of roads need patchwork. And in the last week itself, patchwork has been done on about 40,000 square meter area. All the remaining work will be completed by 31 October. Also, more than half of the 6671 potholes have been filled, the rest will also be repaired soon,” Delhi CM’s post concluded.
