Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal, while addressing a public meeting in Balu village of Haryana’s Kalayat Assembly Constituency on Saturday, made a strong pitch for AAP government in Haryana and candidate Anurag Dhanda from Kalayat constituency. Earlier, the AAP chief led a roadshow in Pundri for AAP’s Narendar Sharma.
“Ask the people of Delhi and Punjab about our work. If we have delivered there, then trust us with your vote,” Arvind Kejriwal urged, promising a brighter future for Haryana’s children. During this, AAP Haryana State President Dr. Sushil Gupta, famous singer Kulbir Danoda (KD), Anu Kadian and others were present.
While addressing the public meeting, amidst rousing welcome, AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal said that these people (BJP) kept me in jail for 5 months in a false case. They tried very hard to break me in jail, tortured me in various ways. “Their aim was to make me bow down in any way. They even stopped my medicines for many days, I don’t know what they wanted to do with me? They wanted to break me, but they did not know that I am Haryana’s son. They can break anyone but cannot break a person from Haryana, today your boy is amongst you,” he added.
The AAP Supremo continued, “God has blessed me a lot, otherwise 10 years ago no one knew Arvind Kejriwal. I must have done some good deeds in my previous life that made me the Chief Minister of Delhi and then gave me the power of Punjab, we have 5 MLAs in Gujarat and 2 in Goa.”
Highlighting the rampant unemployment and plight of Haryana’s youth, Arvind Kejriwal mentioned that Children of Kalayat are selling land and going abroad illegally. “Your children will not need to go abroad. Every village of Kalayat has problems of drinking water and drainage, unemployment, the place where the sewerage plant was to be set up in Rajound was not set up, a college for women was to be opened, but it was not opened,” he said.
“Anurag Dhanda has left his job and entered politics to serve the people. Give him a chance, he will solve all the problems of Kalayat. If not, I will not come to ask for votes for him next time. If you make me win the seat, I will come to Kalayat to thank you,” affirmed the AAP chief.
Arvind Kejriwal shared, “I was born in Siwani village of Bhiwani. I studied in Hisar. After coming out of Haryana and Hisar, this son of yours has made Haryana famous all over the world. I never let Haryana’s head bow down. The people of Haryana should give their son a chance to serve once. Your son formed the government in Delhi and Punjab.”
The AAP head mentioned, “I did such works in Delhi and in 75 years, no leader or party has done such works in the entire country. There are only two states in the whole country, Delhi and Punjab, where 24×7 and free electricity is available. Electricity bills in Delhi are zero. Inverter and generator shops have become obsolete in Delhi. In Haryana too, only Arvind Kejriwal can make electricity bills zero.”
Pointing out his ‘politically motivated’ arrest, Arvind Kejriwal expressed, “Why did they (BJP) put me in jail? My only fault was that I was serving the people of Delhi honestly for 10 years, gave free electricity to the people of Delhi, built great hospitals and schools. PM Modi does not provide free electricity in Gujarat, Haryana and Madhya Pradesh. He has governments in 22 states where electricity is expensive. PM Modi wanted to stop work in Delhi and Punjab by putting me in jail.”
He stated that government schools in Haryana are in a dilapidated condition, no one wants to send their children to government schools, they do so out of compulsion. Today, even rich people in Delhi are educating their children in government schools. This has never happened in 75 years. I was put in jail to stop my work and to prove me dishonest.
Addressing PM Modi, the AAP National Convenor asserted, “Arvind Kejriwal is a very small man, you are a big man. Arvind Kejriwal has built 500 Mohalla Clinics in Delhi, you build 5,000, I built 700 schools, you build 7,000. You want to close my Mohalla Clinics and schools by putting me in jail, this is not right.”
“You can call your relatives in Delhi and Punjab and ask them. If they say that Arvind Kejriwal has worked, then vote for him, otherwise don’t. I have worked in Delhi and Punjab. Haryana is my birthplace. That’s why I am asking you for a chance. Give me a chance in Haryana. I want to work here too. Vote for me and I will make a future for your children,” said Arvind Kejriwal appealing to Haryana voters.
Arvind Kejriwal said, “Today, I am leaving with five guarantees to the people of Haryana. This is Arvind Kejriwal’s guarantee, it is not a fake guarantee. First guarantee, I will make electricity free and 24×7, will waive off the outstanding bills. Second guarantee, I will build great hospitals and Mohalla Clinics. Third guarantee, will build great schools.
“Fourth guarantee, will give honorarium of Rs 1,000 per month to every woman above 18 years and fifth guarantee, I have arranged employment for 12 lakh youth in Delhi, I know how to give jobs. I will arrange jobs for your children. In Punjab, I have given 45,000 government jobs and have arranged for 3.5 lakh private jobs,” he affirmed.
The AAP chief stated, “You must be thinking that I am giving such hefty guarantees, is my government being formed in Haryana? I say that if they had released me from jail three-four months earlier, the government would have been ours. “Even now they have released me 10 days ago, even now the AAP is getting so many seats that no one can form a government in Haryana without us. Whatever government is formed in Haryana, it will be formed with the support of AAP. It is my responsibility to get all the five guarantees fulfilled by that government,” asserted Arvind Kejriwal.
During this, AAP Haryana State President Dr Sushil Gupta stated that the AAP is known for changing the system. In this country, during elections, the focus used to be on topics like USA, Pakistan, and Hindu-Muslim issues. Arvind Kejriwal talked about schools, hospitals, electricity, and water, for the first time in the country’s politics. Even after 78 years of independence, if we can’t provide basic services, we have no right to be in power.
The AAP Haryana President mentioned, “The people of Delhi chose an honest government. That honest government turned all schools in Delhi into world-class institutions. When the U.S. President’s wife visits India, she visits Arvind Kejriwal’s schools. In Delhi, four lakh children left private schools and enrolled in government schools. Students from Delhi’s government schools are now becoming engineers, doctors, IAS, and IPS officers . The BJP engages in politics based on caste and religion, but Arvind Kejriwal has said that temples, mosques, gurdwaras, and churches are matters of faith, not politics.”
“Arvind Kejriwal fought for farmers and provided jobs to the youth, all while presenting a profitable budget. As Delhi and Punjab started developing, the dictator Prime Minister Modi became afraid that the whole country would now demand these benefits. So, he planned to tarnish Arvind Kejriwal’s honesty and put the AAP leaders in jail on false charges. But Arvind Kejriwal wasn’t afraid and continued to run the government from jail,” asserted Dr Sushil Gupta.
Meanwhile, AAP Haryana Vice-President and candidate from Kalayat constituency Anurag Dhanda said that such a large number of youth, elderly and women gathered in a huge public meeting and decided to bring about a change in Kalayat. Kalayat has been running between dynasties for the last 30 years. Till date, no treatment is available in any hospital in Kalayat.
“Can’t the people here get basic facilities, but in 30 years these dynasties could not build a single good hospital. A person from Kalayat had complained in the court that there are no good toilets and no electricity in the schools for girls. The court had imposed a fine of Rs 5 lakh on the education department. Apart from this, there is not a single company in Kalayat in which the youth of Kalayat and Haryana can get employment,” pointed out the AAP candidate.
