Senior AAP leaders Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh, along with party leaders, paid their final respects to former CPI(M) General Secretary Sitaram Yechury on Saturday. At the CPI(M) office in Delhi, where Sitatam Yechury’s mortal remains were kept, Manish Sisodia honored him as a towering figure in Indian politics, noting that his passing leaves a void that cannot be filled. Sanjay Singh echoed these sentiments, calling Yechury’s death an irreplaceable loss for the INDIA alliance and the nation.
Senior AAP leader and former Deputy CM of Delhi, Manish Sisodia said, “Sitaram Yechury was a great leader for the nation. He had a deep understanding of issues of this nation and their solutions. He always brought together those who could resolve issues successfully. Throughout his long political career, he served the country.”
“We are proud that he was a leader of our nation. He has always been a source of inspiration for all of us. Whenever we met, he met me with great warmth. We have many personal and national memories with him, and this is the essence of our relationship. The entire country will always remember him. Today, the whole nation feels his absence. The void left by his passing cannot be filled,” stated the Ex-Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi.
Meanwhile, Senior AAP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh said that Sitaram Yechury’s death is an irreparable loss for the INDIA alliance and the country’s politics. He was a warrior who fought against the politics of hatred throughout his life and always raised his voice for farmers and workers. He has bid us farewell and left us.
“I bow my head and offer my ‘lal salaam’ (red salute) to Comrade Sitaram Yechury. I pray to God to grant his family and supporters the strength to endure this immense loss. Comrade Sitaram Yechury will always live on in the voice of every poor and oppressed person and in every voice that rises against hatred,” mentioned the AAP MP.
