Reactions have been coming in from the leaders of opposition parties from across the country after the Supreme Court granted bail to Aam Aadmi Party’s national convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday morning. Congratulating the Aam Aadmi Party and Arvind Kejriwal on getting bail, various leaders have said that the Supreme Court order is the victory of the Constitution.
Nationalist Congress Party (NCP)-Sharadchandra Pawar president Sharad Pawar tweeted on ‘X’: “One thing is clear from Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s bail that the foundation of democracy in the country is still strong. The fight for so long started today on the path of truth. Kejriwal’s bail confirmed the feeling that a conspiracy to overthrow someone in a lowly way will never succeed in a democratic country.”
Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav tweeted on X handle: “The bail of Delhi’s popular and public welfare Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal is a ‘victory of the Constitution’. Only those who are against the constitution misuse the constitution. The knock on the door of justice is always heard. The world has moved forward on this tradition till now and will continue to do so.”
Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Tejashwi Yadav said that we welcome this decision. It is a good thing that Arvind Kejriwal has got bail. If we pay attention to the comments of the Supreme Court, the way government agencies are being exposed is also worth noting. The discriminatory way people of the opposition are being targeted, the reprimand given by the Supreme Court to ED, CBI is also worth noting. This is also disgraceful for the Government of India. There should be a fair investigation, and constitutional institutions should work without any pressure or political malice. Today Arvind Kejriwal has got bail; before this, his colleagues have also got bail. I congratulate the leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party and Arvind Kejriwal’s family.
Senior Congress leader Pramod Tiwari said that after the Chief Minister of Jharkhand, now Arvind Kejriwal has got bail. The Supreme Court has found this case fit for bail. This is a tight slap on the face of the Modi government, which was creating an atmosphere of fear and terror in the country by misusing these central agencies. The decision on Arvind Kejriwal has come in detail after considering all aspects. The decision has been given unanimously by the Supreme Court bench. Therefore, we welcome it. The BJP should learn a lesson from this. The Modi government should understand that harassing opposition leaders in this way is not right for democracy.
Welcoming the bail given to Arvind Kejriwal, senior CPI leader D. Raja tweeted on ‘X’: “We welcome the bail granted to Arvind Kejriwal. He is the elected Chief Minister of Delhi. Now, we will have to wait and see how the legal course and judicial process will move further because there are some conditions.”
Senior RJD leader Manoj Jha said that Arvind Kejriwal had to get bail. Now, this will happen in every case as all these fake cases were made sitting in the BJP office in Delhi. They know that power is transferrable. The High Court order in Hemant Soren’s case and today the Supreme Court order in Arvind Kejriwal’s case is worth reading. This slap is not only to ED, CBI and IT, but also to those people who are sitting and hatching all these conspiracies. The message from this is clear that the BJP must mend its ways. Because tomorrow when it will not be in power, these agencies will knock at its door too. We will feel bad at that time too, because there should be no place for vendetta politics. This decision of the court is welcome. Many congratulations to the Aam Aadmi Party and its entire legal team for this.
NCP Member of Parliament Supriya Sule tweeted on ‘X’: “Satyamev Jayate! We thank the Hon’ble Supreme Court for granting bail to @ArvindKejriwal ji! The clear findings against the questionable timing of the arrest by CBI reflecting mala fide are noteworthy!”
Senior Congress leader Harish Rawat said that the court has in a way freed the BJP from the uproar it was creating outside. We were already saying that anyone is being put in jail without any evidence. If there is evidence, then why is it not being presented before the court? The same thing happened in the case of Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh. We saw the same in Jharkhand and Delhi. Now the same thing is happening in other cases in the country. We welcome the decision of the court.
All India Trinamool Congress Member of Parliament Saket Gokhale tweeted on ‘X’: “Extremely happy to hear that Hon’ble Delhi CM @ArvindKejriwal ji has finally gotten bail. BJP’s vulgar & pathetic attempt to crush the AAP has been dealt a lethal blow by the Hon’ble SC today. Justice moves slow but it finally vindicates the innocent. Heartiest congratulations to all our friends in the Aam Aadmi Party. Wish you all the strength & power in our collective fight against the criminals of the BJP.”
