Ahead of the Haryana assembly elections marking a huge political shift, BJP leader Satish Yadav, his councilor wife, and Sunil Rao, brother-in-law of actor Rajkumar Rao, along with hundreds of supporters, severed ties with the BJP and embraced the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).
AAP Haryana State President Dr. Sushil Gupta and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh formally welcomed the former BJP leaders wearing AAP’s ‘patka’, marking a significant blow to the BJP’s standing in Rewari. Notably, Satish Yadav has been the chairman of Rewari Zila Parishad.
During this, Senior AAP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh said that AAP has announced that it will fight all out in Haryana elections on all 90 seats. In the same sequence, 20 seats were announced yesterday, 9 seats today and now the rest of the seats will also be announced soon. This time AAP will put all its strength on each seat in Haryana and will try to win.
The AAP Rajya Sabha MP continued, “Arvind Kejriwal’s five guarantees, which include free education, free health, employment to youth and the dream of all things like free electricity and water, which were fulfilled in Delhi, have to be fulfilled in Haryana as well. BJP’s 10 years of misrule in which farmers were ‘lathi-charged’, youth were thrown into the wrath of ‘Agniveer’, Haryana was thrown into the quagmire of unemployment, we will bring all these issues to the fore and work to oust the BJP from power.”
Meanwhile, AAP Haryana State President Dr. Sushil Gupta said, “Satish Yadav is a formidable leader of Rewari and has been the President of the ‘Zila Parishad’ (District Council). He has contested the assembly elections twice. This time he is joining the AAP with full strength.
“Today thousands of comrades have gathered in Rewari and decided to join Arvind Kejriwal. They will be given full respect in the AAP and the AAP family is continuously growing. The people of Haryana are ready to uproot this dictatorial BJP government this time. The AAP will contest on all 90 seats with full strength and will be forming a full majority government in Haryana,” shared the AAP Haryana State President.
On this occasion, Satish Yadav said that his views resonate with the Aam Aadmi Party, that is why he is joining it. “I will stay in the party and raise the voice of the people of Rewari and will fulfil whatever responsibility the party gives me with honesty. I hope that in the coming times, the AAP will dominate the whole of Haryana and form a government with full majority,” he said.
Meanwhile, Sunil Rao said that I may be joining the AAP today, but ever since I started my political life, I’ve spent my life under the guidance of Sanjay Singh. “I was the District Vice President of Rewari of BJP in 2014, was the National Executive Member of Kisan Morcha and after that I was the State Convenor. But the fight is of ideology and my fight is to save the whole of Haryana as well as the whole of Ahirwal. This time not a single BJP candidate is winning in Ahirwal,” he added.
