The Aam Aadmi Party has released the first list of candidates for the Haryana assembly elections. National General Secretary (Organisation) Dr Sandeep Pathak on Monday released the list of 20 candidates. The Aam Aadmi Party has fielded Senior State Vice President Anurag Dhanda from Kalayat Assembly, Gurpal Singh from Naraingarh, former minister Narendra Sharma from Pundri, Jaipal Sharma from Gharaunda.
Names of Amandeep Jundla from Assandh, Bittu Pehalwan from Samalkha, Pawan Fauji from Uchana Kalan, Kuldeep Gadrana from Dabwali. , Happy Rania from Rania, Indu Sharma from Bhiwani, Vikas Nehra from Meham, Bijendra Hooda from Rohtak, Kuldeep Chhikkara from Bahadurgarh, Ranbir Gulia from Badli, Sonu Ahlawat Sheria from Beri, Dr. Manish Yadav from Mahendragarh, Ravindra Matru from Narnaul, Badshahpur. Veer Singh Sarpanch from Sohna, Dharmendra Khatana from Sohna and Ravindra Faujdar from Ballabhgarh also appeared in the first list of the AAP candidates for the upcoming elections.
AAP Senior State Vice President Anurag Dhanda has been associated with journalism; Narendra Sharma has been the former Irrigation Minister of Haryana; Dr Manish Yadav has been a doctor having MD in Forensic Medicines and associated with health services and Ravindra Singh Matru is a social worker. Whereas Happy Rania has been associated with farmers’ issues. Jaipal Sharma has been associated with politics for a long time and has contested elections as an independent in 2005 and on the BJP ticket in 2009.
Meanwhile, immediately after the release of the first list of the Aam Aadmi Party, Congress leader Jawahar Lal joined the Aam Aadmi Party. AAP State President Dr Sushil Gupta got him inducted in the Aam Aadmi Party. Jawahar Lal also contested elections on the BJP ticket in 2009 from Bawal.
Dr Sushil Gupta said that the next list will be released soon. “There is less time left for the elections and we have released our list. We act on the orders of our national leadership. Our organization wanted us to contest the elections with full strength. The Aam Aadmi Party is the best option in Haryana and we will bring results,” he said.
The AAP State President said the BJP government has done no development in the state in the last 10 years. Now the Aam Aadmi Party is ready to take over for all-round development of Haryana. The Aam Aadmi Party will contest elections on all 90 seats with full zeal. We will go among the people of Haryana on the basis of the work done by the Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi and Punjab and this time we will appeal to them to vote for change.
Dr Sushil Gupta said three days are left for nomination. Soon the second list of candidates will also be released. “The Aam Aadmi Party will provide a strong alternative in Haryana. We are fighting to change the system. The results will be positive for Haryana. Now the time has come for the BJP to leave Haryana,” he said.
