The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) had demanded Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s resignation amidst the latest explosive Hindenburg revelations on the Adani scam. The AAP has fired broadside at the Prime Minister for shielding billionaire Gautam Adani from scrutiny in light of a damning new report by Hindenburg Research. AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh pointed out the manipulation of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) investigation into Adani’s dealings, as the SEBI chairperson and her husband were allegedly invested in the very companies under scrutiny.
The AAP MP claims that PM Modi, aware of the impending Hindenburg report, abruptly ended Parliament three days early to avoid further exposure. Sanjay Singh called for the Supreme Court to intervene, asserting that the BJP-led government has misled the nation and the courts, leading to the loss of ₹8.5 lakh crores of public money. He demands Modi’s immediate resignation and a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) probe into the scandal.
Senior AAP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh said, “I was punished for exposing Adani’s corruption by keeping me in jail for 6 months. In the country’s Parliament, I had raised the slogan in front of the Prime Minister that ‘Modi-Adani Bhai-Bhai, Desh Bech Kayi Malai’, (Modi and Adani are colluding in selling the country and earning the money).”
The AAP Rajya Sabha MP mentioned, “18 months ago, a report by Hindenburg came out, which left the whole country and the world stunned. In that report, it was said that Adani created fake offshore companies in Mauritius through Chang Chung-Ling and Nasser Shaban Ahli by gathering all the scamsters of the world and laundering money from India. Through those companies, Gautam Adani’s brother Vinod Adani overvalued the shares of his companies in India. That is, the companies were shown to be worth more than their actual value and money was invested in them. Whereas the actual price of the shares was not that much. Even after this, by creating fake companies, through Vinod Adani, thousands of crores of rupees were invested in Adani’s company in India and its share prices were increased.”
He further added that when “lower and middle class” people of our country buy those shares, their money is lost in a few days due to the fall in the prices of those shares. Through the New Pension Scheme, the pension money of lakhs of employees of the country is invested in this share market. LIC’s money is also invested in the share market. If such a scam is happening there, then it is not Adani’s money, but the money of the common folks of this country that is sinking. Because Adani has already filled his pockets through corruption. Lakhs and crores of people of the country who invest their hard-earned money in the share market are sinking. When the Hindenburg report revealed this, ₹8 lakh 50 thousand crores of the people of the country were lost in the share market.
“At that time, I had raised a demand that a JPC be formed to investigate this matter strongly. The truth of this matter should be found out. Because the money of the people of our country is sinking. Adani has increased the share prices of his companies by creating fake offshore companies. This is a case of blatant money laundering and corruption. But not a single voice of mine was heard. On the contrary, PM Modi ordered to arrest me and put me in jail. So I was picked up and put in jail. I remained in jail for 6 months. My only crime was that I raised the slogan of ‘Modi-Adani Bhai-Bhai, Desh Bech Kar Khai Malai’ in the Parliament and exposed their truth before the world,” MP Sanjay Singh asserted.
Sanjay Singh said that when the matter went to the Supreme Court, the court said that SEBI will investigate the whole matter. After this, SEBI conducted its investigation and filed the report. The report filed by SEBI in May 2023 is very hysterical. SEBI told the Supreme Court that it is investigating 13 cases related to this and in the end says that we do not know how long this investigation will last, this is a directionless investigation. There has been some irregularity, but we cannot tell who has done this irregularity. Why SEBI said this in its report, has been revealed by Hindenburg’s new report.
The Senior AAP leader shared that Hindenburg’s new report shows that SEBI Chairperson Madhabi Puri Buch and her husband Dhaval Buch have invested about 10 million US dollars in the same fake offshore companies that they were supposed to investigate. That is, the SEBI Chairperson has invested about 10 US dollars million in the same corruption that she was supposed to investigate. This was revealed through a whistleblower. “It is very surprising why Madhabi Buch, Chairperson of the companies whose investigation responsibility was given to SEBI by the Supreme Court, did not inform the court that she cannot investigate it, because her and her husband’s money is also invested in the same funds that Vinod Adani manages,” he added.
The AAP MP mentioned, “18 months ago, ₹8 lakh 50 thousand crores of the people of this country were lost. At that time, no one listened to me. PM Modi talks big on corruption, guarantees to end corruption, and claims of sending corrupts to jail. PM Modi had said in an election rally in Telangana that Adani-Ambani are filling Tempos with money and sending it to Congress. He, being the Prime Minister of the country, makes such a big allegation. But when his oath ceremony takes place after the elections, the highest ranking officers of the Indian Army sit behind, and Adani sits in front of them. This is the reality of Prime Minister Modi.”
Sanjay Singh affirmed, “This is not Adani’s scam, but Prime Minister Modi and BJP’s scam, under which the whole country has been handed over to his ‘friend’. Land of almost all airports of India is being given to Adani one by one. Everything from railways, SAIL, coal mines, gas, water to electricity and sea port has been given to Adani. He has given everything to one man. Even the city of Lord Shri Ram was not spared. The land in Ayodhya that was reserved for the Indian Army, PM Modi took away 13,000 acres of that land and gave it to his friend. PM Modi is neither loyal to Lord Rama, nor to common people, is not of any other work. His only motive is to auction the whole country in the name of his friend.”
The Senior AAP Leader said that this report has revealed that all the investigations by SEBI Chairperson are baseless. Any statement or report made by her in the Supreme Court on Adani’s investigation has no meaning. The Supreme Court should take cognizance of this, because the truth has been hidden from it. The BJP government at the centre has lied in the court. After this new revelation, cognizance should be taken of this. “PM Modi is solely responsible for the loss of ₹8 lakh 50 thousand crores of the people of India. As long as he is in office, Adani’s corruption cannot be investigated. If the Prime Minister has even a little bit of morality, he should resign from his post. He does not have the right to remain the Prime Minister of the country. This can be investigated only through the JPC, which has been our demand from day one,” he asserted.
“Cyril Shroff, who works in the post of Corporate Governance and Insider Trading in SEBI, is Adani’s relative and on the other hand, the SEBI Chairperson herself has invested money in his fund. Lakhs of crores of rupees of the people of this country have been lost. India’s Prime Minister Modi and his friend Gautam Adani are involved in this,” Sanjay Singh concluded.
