Former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, the father of education revolution in Delhi, roared fiercely at the Aam Aadmi Party headquarters on Saturday, challenging the BJP and its dictatorial government at the Centre that the AAM Aadmi Party will not be afraid of its dictatorship, jail, ED and CBI.
Addressing the AAP workers at the party headquarters here today, Manish Sisodia said just like I and Sanjay Singh came out of jail, the power of the Constitution will also take Arvind Kejriwal out. The BJP created this web of ED, CBI only to spoil Kejriwal’s honest image and stop his work, but they will not be able to break us.
Manish Sisodia also advised the new parties that have joined the NDA that “you should not think that only our leaders will go to jail, one day your turn will also come”.
The workers were filled with enthusiasm and excitement on seeing him amongst them for the first time after 17 months. During this time MP Sanjay Singh, party’s National General Secretary Pankaj Gupta, Cabinet Ministers Gopal Rai, Atishi, Saurabh Bhardwaj, Imran Hussain, Delhi Mayor Dr. Shelly Oberoi, Punjab Ministers, Delhi Assembly Speaker Ram Niwas Goel, Deputy Speaker Rakhi Birla, MLA Durgesh Pathak, Kuldeep Kumar, party’s Delhi State Vice President and other senior leaders were present on the stage.
Manish Sisodia said this conspiracy of ED and CBI was not hatched because some corruption or dishonesty has happened. This conspiracy of ED and CBI was hatched because if you talk to people at any tea stall from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, do you know who Kejriwal is? They will say that he is doing a great job in Delhi, and he is also doing it honestly. CM Arvind Kejriwal’s name has become a symbol of honesty in the whole country today.
Manish Sisodia said despite calling itself the world’s biggest party, the Bharatiya Janata Party could not set an example in a single state that work is being done honestly in that state. All these conspiracies and all these tricks are being hatched to spoil the image of honesty of Arvind Kejriwal, but the public knows, the doors of the public’s heart are always open for him. You can close the doors of the jail, but you cannot close the doors of the public’s heart, he stated.
The senior AAP leader said, “They (BJP) gathered all the corrupt people from here and there and formed the Bharatiya Janata Party and made it a big party. I want to tell them (BJP) that your ‘kaal’ (Arvind Kejriwal) is still in jail, but you will not be able to keep him in jail for long,”
The Delhi former deputy chief minister said It has been 17 months, when I went to Rajghat after talking to you for 17 months, I had said that it may take seven to eight months. “I was hopeful that justice will be served in seven to eight months, but it doesn’t matter, it took 17 months. Eventually truth has prevailed, honesty has won, that is why it is said that there is delay in God’s proceedings, but there is no injustice,” he said.
Manish Sisodia said they made great efforts against me, Arvind Kejriwal, Sanjay Singh and against other AAP leaders. They said put AAP leaders in jail by applying the harshest of laws in false cases and apply such sections which are applied on terrorists and drug mafias all over the world. “They thought that if they put them in jail, they will rot just like when a terrorist or drug mafia is put in jail. They thought that if Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh are also put in jail, they will rot. But the tears of people have so much power that even the locks of the jail had to melt,” he asserted.
Manish Sisodia said that I will say only one thing that even if all the evil forces of the whole world come together, then God supports the one who walks on the path of truth. Today, it is the grace of Bajrangbali that I am among you after 17 months. “There is only one mantra of success, we have to build great schools for each child of Delhi, this is our success. Since yesterday, I have been saying that we are the horses of the chariot, our real charioteer is in jail right now, he will also come out soon,” he said.
“There is a lot of grace of Bajrang Bali on Arvind Ji. Since a long time, many people are with him, despite being a diabetic patient, he did such a long fast, only by the grace of Lord Bajrang Bali. All kinds of allegations were made against him, but he still came out of all the challenges,” the senior AAP leader said.
Manish Sisodia added that when the hearing of this case was going on, I was listening very carefully, studying all the details from the lawyers. Baba Saheb had guessed 75 years ago that someday it will happen that we are making a constitution of democracy, but sometimes it will also happen that dictatorial power will come in this country and the laws imposed on terrorists and drug mafias will be imposed on common man, businessmen, opposition. “Then who will save those businessmen, common man, opposition at that time? Who will save them when the dictator government commits atrocities, misuse agencies, misuse laws, misuse jails, then who will save them? 75 years ago, Baba Saheb Ambedkar said that I am giving such a constitution that the constitution will save you,” he said.
The senior AAP leader said today, we are standing here due to the strength of the constitution. The Supreme Court, using the power given by the Constitution, crushed the dictatorship yesterday and proved them wrong. I am also very grateful to those lawyers who have been fighting this entire battle for the last one and a half years, and even before that.
Manish Sisodia thanked his lawyers, supporters and workers and said that I was in jail and you were protesting outside. “Arvind Kejriwal is in jail, and you are getting beaten up on the streets. Our lawyers were being pushed from one court to another. For any person in jail, a lawyer is like God. Abhishek Manu Singhvi is God for me. He brought this entire legal battle to its conclusion and will soon get Arvind Kejriwal out as well,” he said.
Manish Sisodia thanked all the workers of Aam Aadmi Party across the country and said that I was in one-fourth of the cell of the jail for 17 months. When I went there, the constables there used to tell me that instructions have been given from above. I told them not to worry about me, I had spread a newspaper at Jantar Mantar and slept. I, Arvind Kejriwal and Sanjay Singh have come out of a situation when the train used to arrive at the railway station at 2 am and we did not even have enough money to stay in a lodge, we used to sleep on paper at the station itself. We have no problem. We were in jail, but our workers were getting beaten up outside. “I salute each and every worker not only for bearing the beating, but the way BJP is an expert in breaking other parties by fear and intimidation, despite that you stood firm and fearlessly. Each and every worker, councillor and MLA of ours stood firm. I know what pressure was put on whom, what threats were being given to them. Despite that, everyone stood with their heads held high,” he said.
Manish Sisodia said now even the enemies have started believing that there is something special about the Aam Aadmi Party that its leaders remain in jail for 17 months, but despite this they neither yield nor bow down. “The Aam Aadmi Party is made of the soil on which Bhagat Singh’s sweat has fallen, the soil in which Gandhi was shot and the soil on which Baba Saheb stood and endured the atrocities of the powers of that time. The BJP’s tota maina (an oblique reference to the ED and CBI) duo will not be able to break it,” he said.
Manish Sisodia said that the darkness of the jail has so much power that it can break someone from inside, but no one can break the person for whom there is so much respect and love outside. “I have come out to shed blood and sweat, not to rest. The BJP people will keep searching where the votes went, we all have to start from today itself. I want to tell every citizen of Delhi, Haryana and the country that every person will have to fight against this dictator. This fight is not only of the workers of Aam Aadmi Party, but also the fight of every common man of the country,” he said.
Manish Sisodia said that when I used to read newspapers in jail, some news used to disturb me. I used to see that the BJP has put many big businessmen in jail by filing false cases against them. They hardly have any connection with any party. If someone is working hard and is not donating to the BJP or messes with any of its people, then a false case is filed against him and he is put in jail. Thousands of people run their households from one businessman. If their families go to jail, they start starving, and BJP will be cursed by them. “If this is not dictatorship, then what is it? This is not just a question of the Aam Aadmi Party or opposition parties. If the owner of a big company goes to jail, then thousands of people working there start worrying about how they will run their homes if the company closes down tomorrow. The BJP is ending people’s jobs for its donation business. If this is not dictatorship, then what is it? If donations are being sought by sending the ED, the CBI notices, then this is dictatorship, not a fight against corruption,” he said.
Manish Sisodia said that they transferred 10,000 teachers of Delhi in one night. If this is not dictatorship, then what is it? It is not about 10,000 teachers, but about the lakhs of children whom these teachers were teaching. They were picked up from here and thrown there in one night. “We should raise our voice against this dictatorship. Before the MCD elections, the money of Delhi Jal Board was stopped, which has not been given till date. The money has been stopped by colluding with the officials of the Finance Department. The engineers of the area are upset. The drains and sewers are not being cleaned, but the officials are saying that they will not give the money. The money of the Jal Board has not been given for one and a half years, even though its budget has been passed in the Assembly,” he said.
The senior AAP leader said dictatorship is not limited to arresting the leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party, but the sewers overflowing at various places in Delhi are also due to this dictatorship. The drains of Delhi are closed, the contractors are not getting money. The drains of Delhi are choked. Not only I and Arvind Kejriwal were in jail, but the people of Delhi are also forced to live in this hell. “All this is happening because of this dictatorship. The work of the government is stopped by asking the Lieutenant Governor. The files remain pending for many years, their policies are not allowed to be passed. The real loss is being suffered by the public. We have to fight against this dictatorship,” he said.
Referring to the treatment meted out to wrestler Vinesh Phogat, Manish Sisodia further said that if a daughter who came out of a small village and brought glory to the country says that a person appointed by the BJP harassed her, he is not even arrested. Instead, she is trolled on social media. If this is not dictatorship, then what else is it? It is the shamelessness of the BJP that that person was not even arrested.
“The sportswomen daughters of this country kept sitting at Jantar Mantar. We show our children the dream of becoming sportswomen, but if someone harasses them, will we tolerate it? But this is dictatorship that that person was not even arrested. Now we have seen the extreme form of this dictatorship, what was done to that daughter. Everyone knows who did what. If she has shed tears today, then something has gone wrong,” he stated.
He said that during my 17 months in jail, I did a lot of thinking. I read about 200-300 books in jail. Many people sent me books, but I took the Gita first. At that time, the question in my mind was that when I was building a school for children, why did I get punished? What was the fault of my wife and children? I worked for the better future of the children of Delhi so that they could go to IIT and medical college. I asked God, then a voice came from within that you will get the answers to your questions in this Gita.
He continued, “After reading the Gita, I got the answers to all my questions. I read the interpretations of the Gita done by Gandhiji, Vinoba Bhave, Acharya Prashant and other great personalities. Apart from this, I also studied the education system around the world. I read about 100-150 books, which strengthened my belief that if India has to be developed by 2047, then excellent government schools will have to be built for every child and the fees of private schools will have to be controlled.”
Manish Sisodia said that if a person says that he can make India a developed nation without good education, then he is only making empty promises. If a person says that we will make the country developed without good hospitals, mohalla clinics and employment, then he is just trying to win elections. No nation can become developed without education and health. BJP is pained that the Aam Aadmi Party is doing this work. People themselves are saying that if all the children get good education, then India will automatically develop in 2047. If the coming generation gets good hospitals, then India will naturally develop.
The Aam Aadmi Party has improved health services in Delhi and Punjab. That is why BJP is trying to put us in jails. Despite this, we all are standing together like a rock in these bad times, he said.
Manish Sisodia said that if the BJP thinks that by sending Manish Sisodia to jail, it will stop the education revolution of Delhi, then it is making a big mistake.
“We will even give our lives to fulfill the dream of bringing every poor person of Delhi into the mainstream of society by giving them the best education. Many of our lives have been sacrificed for the employment, education and health of children. We are not going to be afraid of jails. We will again take to the streets and tell the people that Arvind Kejriwal is not in jail because he has committed any crime, but because he has done a true job by educating the children of Delhi,” Manish Sisodia stated.
He said that just as Sanjay Singh and I have come out of jail, the power of the Constitution will bring Arvind Kejriwal out as well. No matter how powerful the BJP and its agencies are, they will not be able to do anything in front of the Constitution. We are disciples of Bhagat Singh, we are not going to be afraid of their jails. The BJP thought that they will break us by sending us to jail, now they themselves will say that do not send them to jail, they come back even more powerful.
Manish Sisodia said that this is a fight against dictatorship. Every citizen of the country will have to stand against it. The Quit India Movement was carried out on 9 August. My release on this day is a sign from God that I should come out and raise the slogan of ‘Quit dictatorship India’. Every common man is a victim of dictatorship. We have to fight unitedly against dictatorship. Aam Aadmi Party leaders are in jail, but tomorrow someone else’s turn will come. We have to fight unitedly for the country, he stated.
Speaking on the occasion earlier, senior Aam Aadmi Party leader and MP Sanjay Singh said that the BJP may be ahead in the politics of hatred, quarrels and riots, but it can never compete with the Aam Aadmi Party in fighting. We have been trained to fight and the BJP has been trained to apologize to the British. BJP’s forefathers have betrayed the country, apologized to the British. The BJP can never bow down the Aam Aadmi Party and our leaders. They put our party chief Arvind Kejriwal in jail in a fake case, Delhi’s Education Minister Manish Sisodia, who worked day and night for lakhs of children of Delhi, was kept in jail for 17 months.
“Prime Minister Modi should tell who will give account of these 17 months? Who will give account of the mental and physical torture that Manish Sisodia’s family has suffered for 17 months? Who will give account of the torture that Manish Sisodia has suffered while being in jail?” Sanjay Singh questioned.
Sanjay Singh said that today the BJP people are saying that only bail has been granted. Similarly, when the election results will come and the BJP people will shout that their bail has been forfeited, then the people of Delhi will also say that only bail has been forfeited. For 17 months, everyone saw the game of ED, CBI.
“An ED officer has been caught by the CBI taking a bribe of Rs 5 crore in Delhi itself. Before this, their officers were also caught taking bribe in Tamil Nadu. ED officers were also caught taking bribe by Rajasthan Police. Just now on August 8, an ED officer was caught taking a bribe of 20 lakhs in Delhi. Will these dishonest people investigate us? Their conviction rate is only 0.5%. The BJP is the most corrupt party in this world. All the corrupt people of the country are with Prime Minister Modi today. Very soon, our leader Arvind Kejriwal will come out and after the assembly elections, all of us Delhiites will together tell the BJP that only bail has been forfeited,” he asserted.
AAP’s Delhi State Convenor Gopal Rai said that entire Delhi was eagerly waiting for Manish Sisodia to come out, today that day has come. Manish Sisodia, the father of Delhi’s education revolution, is breathing in the open air of freedom among us today. When the news of Manish Sisodia’s bail reached Delhi and the people, the same voice came out from everyone’s hearts that justice has been done, but it has been done late.
He said that the way BJP had laid the Chakravyuh (trap) of ED and CBI, even after 17 months, they did not find any evidence against Manish Sisodia. Raids were conducted on Manish Sisodia’s bank accounts, offices, house and even his village. BJP used all its strength to keep him in jail. But when he got bail on Friday, BJP was saying that this is just a bail. They do not understand that this is not just Manish Sisodia’s bail, but it is a license to confiscate the bail of the BJP.
Gopal Rai said that Manish Sisodia’s bail has put an end to all the conspiracies of this dictatorship. BJP used to think that its Chakravyuh (trap) will never end. Manish Sisodia’s bail is a declaration of the fact that no matter how powerful the dictatorship is, it is ultimately defeated. No matter how much the truth is denied, it always wins.
“ED and CBI did not have any evidence for 17 months, yet they wasted the time of Delhiites by keeping Manish Sisodia in jail at the behest of BJP. Delhiites had formed the Aam Aadmi Party government under the leadership of Arvind Kejriwal by giving a massive majority,” he added.
Gopal Rai said that the AAP government worked wholeheartedly for the people of Delhi. BJP hatched all the conspiracies and sent Satyendar Jain, Manish Sisodia, Sanjay Singh and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to jail in fake cases. Even after this, no BJP-ruled state could compete with the work of Arvind Kejriwal.
“If the work of all the BJP-ruled states is weighed on a scale, then Kejriwal’s work even while in jail will outweigh them. BJP cannot compete with our work. The biggest pain of BJP is that its Ashwamedha horse (a horse sacrifice ritual followed by the Śrauta tradition of Vedic religion), which no one could stop in Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Bihar and Karnataka, stopped in Delhi,” the senior AAP leader stated.
The BJP used all its strength, but this time the people of Delhi also bid farewell to BJP from MCD. This made BJP feel that it cannot win elections from Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi. If Aam Aadmi Party continues to work in this way, then just like it reached Punjab, Goa and Gujarat from Delhi, the broom will sweep across the entire country and what will happen to BJP, Gopal Rai stated.
Gopal Rai further said that after this, BJP started hatching a conspiracy to send our leaders to jail by filing false and fake cases against them. BJP had the misconception that just like it broke the party of Shiv Sena and NCP leaders by filing FIRs against them and bought MLAs and MPs in different states of the country, it will break the Aam Aadmi Party in the same way.
He continued, “The BJP thought that by putting our leaders in jail, it will create pressure and this party will break. But BJP should understand that Aam Aadmi Party is not made to break, bow down and be sold. Aam Aadmi Party was born to end corruption and dictatorship from this country. As long as there is injustice, dictatorship and inequality in this country, Aam Aadmi Party will keep fighting this battle.”
Gopal Rai said that when Manish Sisodia was arrested, people started saying what will happen to the party now. But the people of the country have given a message to the BJP. If the BJP thinks that it will trap Manish Sisodia in its Chakravyuh and make him bow down, then this is its biggest misunderstanding. It will take seven lives for the BJP to break and make Manish Sisodia bow down.
“Manish Sisodia stood like a rock for the people of the country yesterday and will continue to do so in the future too. Manish Sisodia has just come out of jail and soon Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will also come out. This fight of ours will continue and we will win this battle,” he declared.
Aam Aadmi Party senior leader and MLA Durgesh Pathak said that if Arvind Kejriwal is the father of this party, then Manish Sisodia is the mother of this party. They have nurtured us. We lived without our mother for 17 months. Therefore, the Delhi Assembly elections in February are an election of revenge. This is not an election to elect an MLA, but an election to tell that the BJP which kept our party’s mother in jail for 17 months, the people of Delhi will not give them even a single seat. This time we will win all 70 seats in Delhi.
When former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, the father of education revolution in Delhi, reached the party headquarters for the first time after 17 months on Saturday, he was given a grand welcome by party leaders and supporters. As soon as he reached the stage, the party workers and supporters were filled with enthusiasm. Everyone welcomed him by clapping and Manish Sisodia accepted his love by waving his hand. During this, he hugged MP Sanjay Singh, Minister Gopal Rai, Atishi, Saurabh Bharadwaj, Imran Hussain, MLA Durgesh Pathak, Kuldeep Kumar, party’s general secretary Sushil Gupta, minister from Punjab and other leaders present on the stage. Delhi Assembly Speaker Ram Niwas Goel, who was present here, hugged Manish Sisodia and gave him a lot of love and affection.
