The Aam Aadmi Party has fired broadside at Prime Minister Narendra Modi his government for pushing the Waqf Board Amendment Bill to benefit his ‘friends’. Senior AAP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh charged that Modi’s administration is set on transferring valuable Waqf Board land to friends, echoing past incidents of favoritism involving national assets like railways, airports, and even 13,000 acre army land.
Senior AAP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh, while talking to the media on the Waqf Board bill brought by the BJP government at the Centre, said that PM Modi gave the land of Railways and SAIL to his friend Adani. He gave the airports, ports and even 13,000 acres of army land in Ayodhya to Adani and his other friends. This bill is now an attempt to get his friends to occupy the Waqf properties as well. There is no other intention behind this. PM Modi’s friends still need more land. That is why the Prime Minister and his government have brought this bill.
Vinesh Phogat was declared disqualified before the final match as part of a conspiracy, her retirement is very sad: Sanjay Singh
Reacting to the news of Vinesh Phogat’s retirement from wrestling, Sanjay Singh said that this is very sad and painful for all the compatriots. A talented player of the country who could have won the gold medal on that foreign land, was declared disqualified before the final match through a conspiracy, whereas she must have been weighed till the quarter-final and semi-final matches to go there. During this time her weight did not exceed 50 kg, but suddenly when there was a possibility of getting the gold medal in the final, just before that she was declared disqualified by saying that she was 100 grams overweight.
“This is an injury to the sentiments of 144 crore Indians. But it is also sad that the current central government did not make any effort for this. Due to its arrogance, the government shattered the dream of this brave daughter of the country and snatched the gold medal from her hands,” he added.
Asking some pressing questions, Sanjay Singh stated, “Is our country worse than a country like Kenya? Earlier, a similar incident had happened with a Kenyan player, then it supported its athletics player and protested in the Olympic Association, after which that Kenyan player was given his silver medal. But our government could not raise its voice for Vinesh Phogat. The Prime Minister ‘stops the war between Russia and Ukraine’, but the government could not raise its voice for its player. It is a matter of great regret that she had to retire today.
“The government got Vinesh Phogat beaten up for raising her voice on these very streets of Delhi. Despite this, today when she was going to get the gold medal leaving behind all the harassment, she was disqualified just before that. And the entire government is watching everything as a mute spectator. It is clear from this that a deep conspiracy has been hatched against Vinesh Phogat. She would have surely brought a gold medal. The Prime Minister and the BJP government at the Centre should know that even a single tear is a threat to the government. These tears of Vinesh Phogat will not go in vain,” expressed the senior AAP leader.
