Sunita Kejriwal, wife of Aam Aadmi Party’s national convenor Arvind Kejriwal, held Badlav Jansabha (Public meeting for Change) in Sohna and Faridabad of Haryana on Sunday. Addressing the crowd gathered in the meeting, she said that BJP has been in Haryana for the last 10 years but has not done any work. She appealed to the people of Haryana that this time you give the responsibility of fixing your house to your son Arvind Kejriwal by ensuring win of the Aam Aadmi Party in the coming Assembly elections.
Haryana AAP state president Dr Sushil Gupta and other leaders of the Haryana unit of the party were present at the Badlav Jansabha at Sohna and Faridabad.
Addressing the gathering at Sohna, Sunita Kejriwal said you all know that my husband Arvind Kejriwal, the Chief Minister of Delhi, is a son of Haryana. When I married him in 1994, his family, with an ordinary background, lived in Hisar. His father was employed there. Arvind ji was born in Shivani village, but his education and upbringing took place in Hisar. “No one could even dream that 20 years later this son of Haryana will become the chief minister of Delhi. This is no ordinary thing; it is no less than a miracle,” she said.
Sunita Kejriwal said Arvind ji was born on 16 August 1968 and you will be surprised to know that it was Krishna Janmashtami, that is, Lord Krishna’s birthday. This is no ordinary coincidence. I think many times that God definitely wants him to do something great, otherwise how a boy born in a village, brought up in Hisar become the CM of Delhi. “Arvind ji started from zero, he formed his own party and became the Chief Minister of Delhi in the first attempt itself. He brought a pollical earthquake in the country. He did such works which many old parties, big leaders could not do. The entire world knows Arvind ji for his work,” she said.
She said there is AAP government in Delhi and Punjab with so many facilities for the poor people. “He improved the government schools in both states that brightened the future of poor children; made Mohalla clinics and hospitals wonderful where now good and free treatment is available. He made electricity free _ in Haryana it is very dear. Earlier there used to be long power cuts, now there is power supply for 24 hours. He made bus travel free for women, arranged for free pilgrimage for the elderly and soon every woman will get Rs 1000 every month,” she said.
Sunita Kejriwal said your Kejriwal, the son of Haryana, has done a lot of work. “Is there any party that has improved the government schools, opened Mohalla clinics and improved hospitals, made electricity free. All such works can be done by only one person in the country, your son Kejriwal, the son of Haryana.”
She said that is why Modi Ji is jealous of Kejriwal as he cannot do all these things. “To stop his work, he made a fake case against him and put your son in jail. Modi Ji says that Kejriwal is a thief. Modi Ji, if Kejriwal is a thief then there is no honest person in this world. Modi Ji did not put Kejriwal in jail, Modi Ji put the son of Haryana in jail,” she said.
Sunita Kejriwal said Modi Ji has challenged the people of Haryana that I have put your son in jail, do whatever you want. “I am also the daughter-in-law of Haryana. Will you tolerate this insult silently; will you sit quietly. Your Kejriwal is a lion, he is not going to bow down in front of Modi Ji,” she said.
Sunita Kejriwal said Modi Ji is from Gujarat and in 2014 when Modi Ji became the Prime Minister, the whole of Gujarat supported him, gave all the seats to BJP. “Your son Kejriwal has made Haryana proud in the whole world. Will you not support your son, will you keep quiet? Assembly elections are going to be held soon here, make sure the BJP does not win even a single seat in these elections. You have to make your son win with huge mandate. This is not about Arvind Kejriwal, this is about the respect of Haryana,” she said.
She said a consumer pays GST on the goods purchased to get some facilities in return. “You pay tax to government on every purchase. That means you have a right to get basic amenities such as quality education, excellent healthcare, good roads, potable water from the government. The BJP government has been in power for 10 years, what did it do to improve your standard of living,” she said.
Sunita Kejriwal said the BJP has got nothing to do with the development of the state. “There is a sports stadium in Sohna but without any facilities. There is no coach. What is the point in having such a stadium. There is no government college. You have an Ayushman (Bharat) card for medical treatment but that is not accepted in private hospitals because the government does not make payment to the private hospitals. So what is the point in having such a facility,” she said.
Announcing Kejriwal’s 5 guarantees for Haryana, Sunita Kejriwal said your son Kejriwal has given 5 guarantees for all of you, which have already been implemented in Delhi and Punjab. “The first guarantee is that like Delhi and Punjab, domestic electricity will be free and there will be 24-hour electricity, there will be no power cuts,” she said.
The second guarantee is that like Delhi and Punjab, Mohalla clinics will be built in every village, every city, government hospitals will be good, everyone will get good and free treatment.
Sunita Kejriwal said the third guarantee is that government schools will be made better where good and free education will be available.
She said the fourth guarantee is that every woman will get Rs 1000 every month. This scheme is going to be implemented soon in Delhi and Punjab.
Sunita Kejriwal said the fifth guarantee is that we will provide employment to every unemployed youth. Apart from this, your Kejriwal has made many plans for the development and prosperity of every section of society, including farmers, women, sportspersons, businessmen, labourers, elderly, etc. “Your son changed Delhi, your son changed Punjab, now you all have to give him the responsibility of fixing his own house (Haryana). Let us all together build a new Haryana. All of you have to vote for broom (the election symbol of the AAP) and tell your neighbours as well to do the same,” she concluded.
Haryana State President of AAP Dr Sushil Gupta said Haryana’s son Arvind Kejriwal brought the needs of the common man to the centre of politics. Arvind Kejriwal announced that wherever Aam Aadmi Party government is formed, they will provide 24 hours free electricity. He did this in Delhi and Punjab. That is why the dictator of the country, Prime Minister Modi got scared that the whole country will demand 24 hours free electricity. That is why Arvind Kejriwal was put in jail. But Arvind Kejriwal did not stop. That is why this time Kejriwal will change the condition of Haryana.
Dr Sushil Gupta said that Arvind Kejriwal proved to the world that if there is an honest government, then government schools can be good. In Delhi, the government has made schools and colleges world class. The wife of the President of America also comes to see the schools built by Arvind Kejriwal. Four lakh children left private schools and took admission in government schools. IAS, doctors and engineers started coming out of government schools of Delhi. The Aam Aadmi Party has also started improving government schools in Punjab. He said that Arvind Kejriwal has made Mohalla Clinics in every village and colony for the human body, which are like moving temples, mosques, Gurudwaras and churches. In which free medicines, tests and trained doctors are provided.
The AAP Haryana chief said that Arvind Kejriwal made a law for the businessmen that the government inspector will not go to the shops and factories of Delhi, because he considers businessmen to be honest, not thieves like these parties. BJP’s Home Minister Amit Shah had called businessmen thieves. When Arvind Kejriwal stopped sending inspectors, Delhi’s budget increased from Rs 20,000 crores annually to Rs 70,000 crores because people paid taxes honestly. He said that Arvind Kejriwal made bus travel free to promote women and made contract employees permanent in Delhi. Haryana is number one in unemployment under the rule of BJP government. Therefore, there is a need for change in Haryana. Only when Haryana’s son Arvind Kejriwal comes to power in Haryana, will Haryana also develop like Delhi and Punjab, added Dr Sushil Gupta.
