आम आदमी पार्टी के राज्यसभा सदस्य संजय सिंह ने एक प्रेस वार्ता के माध्यम से जमात-ए-सिद्दीकी ऑफ इंडिया के राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष मोहम्मद शाहिद सिद्दीकी जी, उपाध्यक्ष मोहम्मद इशरत सिद्दीकी, महा सचिव ताहिर सिद्दीकी, उप-महा सचिव मोहम्मद अली अपने सैकड़ों कार्यकर्ताओं के साथ आम आदमी पार्टी में शामिल हुए। संजय सिंह ने आम आदमी पार्टी की टोपी एवं पटका पहनाकर सभी का पार्टी में शामिल होने पर अभिनंदन किया।
मोहम्मद शाहिद सिद्दीकी जी, सिद्दीकी समाज के लिए एक लंबे समय से संघर्ष करते आ रहे हैं। समाज के उत्थान के लिए समय-समय पर अपनी आवाज बुलंद करते रहे हैं। दिल्ली में मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल जी द्वारा हर वर्ग के, हर धर्म के, हर जात के तथा हर तबके के व्यक्तियों के लिए समान रूप से जो विकास कार्य किए गए हैं, उन तमाम कार्यों से प्रभावित होकर मोहम्मद शाहिद सिद्दीकी जी ने आम आदमी पार्टी में शामिल होने का निर्णय लिया। जमात ए सिद्दीकी ऑफ इंडिया का समर्थन पार्टी को मिलने से दिल्ली में रह रहे पूरे सिद्दीकी समाज के लोगों का समर्थन आम आदमी पार्टी को मिलेगा। पार्टी संगठन और मजबूत होगा, तथा और मजबूती के साथ पार्टी विकास कार्यो को पूरा करेगी।
प्रेस वार्ता को संबोधित करते हुए जमात ए सिद्दीकी ऑफ इंडिया के अध्यक्ष मोहम्मद शाहिद सिद्दीकी जी ने कहा कि दिल्ली में आम आदमी पार्टी की सरकार जो विकास के कार्य कर रही है, पूरे देश में किसी भी राज्य की सरकार ऐसा काम नहीं कर रही है। अरविंद केजरीवाल जी द्वारा किए जा रहे विकास कार्यों से प्रभावित होकर हमारे संगठन ने बैठक की और बैठक में सर्व सहमति से यह फैसला लिया गया, कि हमको भी मुख्यमंत्री केजरीवाल जी के कंधे से कंधा मिलाकर विकास कार्यों में, समाज के विकास में, गरीब और पिछड़े वर्ग के विकास में अपना सहयोग देना चाहिए।
मोहम्मद शाहिद सिद्दीकी जी ने कहा कि दिल्ली में केजरीवाल जी की सरकार बनने से पहले शिक्षा व्यवस्था का इतना बुरा हाल था, कि केवल अमीर लोगों के बच्चों को ही बेहतर शिक्षा लेने का अधिकार रह गया था। परंतु जब से दिल्ली में केजरीवाल जी की सरकार बनी है, दिल्ली के सरकारी स्कूलों की हालत में इतना सुधार हुआ है, कि आज दिल्ली के सरकारी स्कूल प्राइवेट स्कूलों से बेहतर परिणाम दे रहे हैं। आज गरीब का बच्चा भी बेहतर शिक्षा प्राप्त कर रहा है। उन्होंने कहा कि मैं निस्वार्थ भाव से आम आदमी पार्टी में शामिल हुआ हूं और पार्टी मेरे लिए जो भी कार्य तय करेगी मैं पूरी निष्ठा के साथ उस जिम्मेदारी को निभाऊंगा।

With the Vidhan Sabha election around the corner, many prominent political faces of Delhi are joining the Aam Aadmi Party. Continuing the wave of the joining, on Monday, Jamaat-e-Siddiqui of India’s National President Mohammad Shahid Siddiqui, Vice President Mohammad Ishrat Siddiqui, General Secretary Tahir Siddiqui and Deputy General Secretary Mohammad Ali along with hundreds of supporters joined the AAP in presence of Rajya Sabha MP and Delhi election in-charge Sanjay Singh.
Mohammad Shahid Siddiqui is well known for his constant struggle for the upliftment of the Siddiqui community and has been one of the most prominent faces in Delhi fighting for the right of people from Siddiqui community. He got influenced by the development works done by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for the people of Delhi across every religion, section and caste. Thereafter he decided to join the AAP to strengthen the party.
“The way the Kejriwal govt has worked in the last 5 years has been remarkable. The AAP govt has worked for the poor people of Delhi, therefore, people from every religion, section, and caste have received equal benefits from this government. Looking at the unprecedented work done by the Kejriwal government, we decided to join the party and I will ensure that we will carry forth this development work ahead in the coming days,” said Mohammad Shahid Siddiqui.
He also said that the before in Delhi people used to make fun of the government schools but now under the Kejriwal government students from private schools are opting to join the government schools. “The way this government has worked in education, health and sectors are being discussed worldwide. Students from the govt schools are performing much better than that of the private school. We want to be a part of this revolutionary work of the AAP govt,” he said.
