EFC clears proposals of smart classrooms in NSUT; Phase IV construction in NSIT Dwarka

Deputy Chief Minister & Finance Minister Mr Manish Sisodia on Friday chaired a meeting of the Expenditure Finance Committee (EFC), which was attended by the PWD & Health Minister Mr Satyendar Jain and other senior officials of the government.

Following proposals were approved :

1)      Directorate of Training & Technical Education proposal for the construction of Smart class rooms in NSUT Campus, Sector-3, Dwarka at an estimated cost of  Rs 26.79 crore.

The Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology became Netaji Subhas University of Technology on 26.9.2018 and to cater to the increased demand of students, urgent requirement of temporary class rooms have arisen.

Accordingly, consultant has been appointed to prepare detailed drawings. It was decided that 10 classrooms each with capacity 17300 X 10000 & 17300 X 21550 for 125 students & 250 students respectively has been proposed to be constructed.

The building will be a SPS structure which can accommodate additional 1500 students.

2) Directorate of Training & Technical Education proposal for the construction of Building under Phase–IV in NSIT Campus, Sector-3, Dwarka at an estimated cost of Rs 202.12 crore.

NSIT has a plot of land measuring 145 acres and has required land to create infrastructure for catering to the increased student strength

The present infrastructure is planned for 2650 number of students and the present strength is 3500 and expected to increase by 5000 from the 2019 Academic session.

The present proposal is for Phase- IV of the project comprising of six buildings namely 4a, 4b,5a,5b,6a,6b and a basement.

Approval of DUAC has been received and other approvals such a Fire, DDA, Environment, Forest clearance are being pursued simultaneously.

 

3)      Health and Family Welfare Department proposal for the construction of G+22+ double basement building for establishing New Block for Medicine, Maternity and Advanced Paediatric Centre at Lok Nayak Hospital at an estimated cost of  Rs 533.91 crore : 

At present total number of beds in L. N. Hospital are 2550 and another 1570 beds are proposed to be added by constructing a G+22+ double basement building for establishing New Block for Medicine, Maternity and Advanced Paediatric Centre.

Statutory clearances from DUAC, Fire Department, AAI & DMRC for the project have been obtained and Environment clearance is under process.
