Today Minister Social Welfare visited Ashadeep Home for Mentally challenged persons at Narela. On a surprise visit Minister inspected the home to take stock of the facilities, which houses 120 inmates.
Minister is pleased to see the cleanliness and bedding facilities. It has been wrongly reported that the inmates are not getting proper facilities vis a vis cleanliness and care taking. But after thorough inspection in each room, team did not find any issues related to care taking, housing, fooding and bedding facilties. No health issues have been reported as well.
Deputed staff informed that extra care has been given during winters for which extra blankets and heater is also made available to inmates.
After Narela, Minister visited Asha Kiran
Home at Rohini Sec 1 housing 1060 inmates including male, female and teenager kids. Minister found the services provided to the inmates are satisfactory and no irregularities have been reported by the inmates as well as staffers also. Minister conversed with the inmates asking them about any issues or problems faced by them, if any. But satisfactory report has been given. New dormatory will also start functioning soon.
Minister gave directions to the concerned officials to take more precautions in warm clothes and foods and bedding facilities during winters.
Minister felt happy to see that staff takes care of the proper air circulation and in winters sun bath is also provided.
Kids developed kitchen garden and do plantation here. It gives them homely feeling as these kids doesn’t have their family. It becomes our primary duty to take proper care of them.
Minister informed the staffers also that no irregularities would be spared, if found any.
