With the approval of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, the Delhi government on Wednesday began the process of granting 10,000 Auto Rickshaw Permits along with the Registration Certificates.
Transport Minister, Shri Kailash Gahlot initiated the process with the distribution ceremony at Burari, along with local MLA Mr Sanjeev Jha.
These Permits are being allotted to those having valid Driving Licenses and Auto Rickshaw Badges.
Prior to this ceremony, 10,000 permits selection procedure has been finalized by Transport Department through online system. The applications were shortlisted as per the seniority in terms of driving license.
Shri Gahlot has informed that Delhi Finance Commission (DFC) will provide loan facility without Collateral to Auto Rickshaw purchasers.
The Transport Minister further informed that Delhi government will explore the possibility to provide more TSR permits to the intending applicants.
