CM Kejriwal welcomes Dalit activist Raj Kumar Anand back into party
AAP is the only party that is fulfilling the dreams of Babasaheb Ambedkar: CM Arvind Kejriwal
New Delhi: Dalit activist and husband of former Patel Nagar MLA Veena Anand, Raj Kumar Anand, joined the Aam Aadmi Party today in the presence of Delhi chief minister and Aam Aadmi Party National Convener Arvind Kejriwal. The program organised near the chief minister’s residence saw hundreds of Anand’s supporters who also joined AAP today.
Welcoming Raj Kumar Anand back into the party, CM Arvind Kejriwal said he was happy about Raj Kumar Anand’s ‘gharwapsi’. During his address to the supporters gathered at the function, he said, “Raj Kumar Anand’s wife contested the elections on an Aam Aadmi Party ticket in 2013 but due to certain confusion and differences of opinion, they [the two] had left the party. I am happy to welcome them back. Inspired by the work that the Delhi government is doing for the last 4-5 years, especially in the field of education, health, electricity, water and the initiatives taken for the poor and Dalits, he decided to get back in the party.”
Speaking about the social justice agenda of the Aam Aadmi Party, CM Kejriwal said, “AAP is the only party that does not merely give speeches for dalits, but also dedicatedly works towards their welfare. Babasaheb Ambedkar’s life is a message for us all. He hailed from a poor family but that did not stop him from fighting for his rights. He faced many struggles and attained high levels of education. He also went aboard for his studies after a lot of struggle. He gave this country the world’s best Constitution.”
Continuing to speak about Dr Ambedkar’s message, CM Kejriwal said, “Babasaheb Ambedkar used to say that if we want to uplift the entire dalit community in one generation, the only solution, the only tool and weapon for [achieving] this is education. All parties that ask for votes in the name of Dr Ambedkar, do not fight the injustice faced by the dalit community. Tell me, which party or government has taken care of children’s education or has improved the condition of government schools and quality of education in the last 70 years,” he asked.
“Every party takes commissions from the private schools, who in turn hike fees. This renders the poor helpless who can’t send their children to private schools. On purpose, these parties have deteriorated government schools and made them worse! Every party wants a sweeper’s child to become a sweeper, an auto driver’s child to become an auto driver and a labourer’s child to become a labour only. This is the first time a party has come into power which promises to make a sweeper’s child a doctor, a labour’s child an engineer and indeed these promises are being delivered,” said the chief minister.
“IITs are the country’s top engineering institutions. I am also from an IIT. This year, 350 students from Delhi government schools have gotten into IITs. Now even children from poor families are becoming engineers. This is what Babasaheb Ambedkar dreamt about and the AAP government is making this dream come true. Poverty can be eradicated in just one generation if children are taught well, if they have access to high quality education. Only one party, the Aam Aadmi Party is striving for your children’s bright future.”, he said.
Expressing his confidence in Raj Kumar Anand, CM Kejriwal said, “He will be working towards the party’s ideology of serving the poor and dalits. He has returned to the party as a karyakarta and not for any position or personal gain.”
Addressing women in the audience, CM Kejriwal said, “These days news channels criticise me for making everything free. Don’t you want free bus and Metro travel? [loud chants of ‘Yes!’] Tell them, Yes he makes things free, but at least Kejriwal is not corrupt! We’ve made your children’s education free, treatment in hospitals free and reduced your electricity and water bills. And now, we are providing you with free metro and bus rides. Am I doing anything wrong? [loud chants of ‘No!’] I appeal to educated women who can meet their expenses to not deny the poor the benefits of this initiative.”
Speaking at the event, Raj Kumar Anand said, “Both my wife and I want to rejoin the Aam Aadmi Party, whose ideology we believe in. Delhi’s Aam Aadmi Party government for the first time made the right to quality education a reality for the poor, the working class and the bahujans, by improving government schools. Children would not want to attend school earlier, but now they attend government schools with pride. This has happened because of the vision of Arvind Kejriwal. He is following the principles laid down in Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar’s Constitution.”
“I am happy that I am being inducted into the party as a common volunteer. This party is not a party of leaders, it is a party of volunteers,” concluded Raj Kumar Anand.

मुख्यमंत्री आवास के बाहर बृहस्पतिवार को हुई एक जनसभा के दौरान पार्टी के पुराने सदस्य राजकुमार आनंद एवं उनकी पत्नी वीना आनंद ने दोबारा आम आदमी पार्टी की सदस्यता ग्रहण कर ली। वीना आनंद वर्ष 2013 में आम आदमी पार्टी के टिकट से पटेल नगर विधानसभा से विधायक रह चुकी हैं।
मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल ने दोनों का पार्टी में दोबारा शामिल होने पर स्वागत किया। कार्यक्रम को संबोधित करते हुए दिल्ली के मुख्यमंत्री एवं आम आदमी पार्टी के राष्ट्रीय संयोजक अरविंद केजरीवाल ने कहा कि कुछ गलतफहमी के कारण राजकुमार आनंद जी एवं उनकी पत्नी वीणा आनंद जी ने आम आदमी पार्टी की सदस्यता त्याग दी थी। परंतु पिछले साढ़े 4साल में आम आदमी पार्टी ने दिल्ली के अंदर शिक्षा,स्वास्थ्य, बिजली-पानी एवं अन्य क्षेत्रों में जो आमूलचूल परिवर्तन किए, उनसे प्रभावित होकर उन्होंने दोबारा आम आदमी पार्टी में आने का निर्णय लिया।
अरविंद केजरीवाल ने कहा कि मुझे बेहद खुशी है जो गलतफहमियां थी वह दूर हुईं और पार्टी के पुराने साथी पार्टी में वापस आए।
उन्होंने कहा कि आम आदमी पार्टी एक मात्र ऐसी पार्टी है जो दलितों के लिए केवल भाषण नहीं देती,बल्कि दलितों के लिए काम भी करती है। बाबा साहेब भीमराव अंबेडकर जी के जीवन का उदाहरण देते हुए अरविंद केजरीवाल ने कहा कि बाबासाहेब से हम सबको प्रेरणा मिलती है। बाबासाहेब ने अपने जीवन में बहुत संघर्ष किया। बेहद गरीब परिवार से होने के बावजूद उन्होंने शिक्षा के लिए संघर्ष किया। न केवल देश में बल्कि विदेश जाकर अच्छी शिक्षा ग्रहण की।
बाबा साहब हमेशा कहते थे कि अगर दलितों का उत्थान करना है, तो उसका एकमात्र मंत्र है शिक्षा। शिक्षा ही एक ऐसा हथियार है जिसके माध्यम से एक ही पीढ़ी में पूरे दलित समाज का उद्धार हो सकता है।
आज देश में जितनी भी दलित प्रेमी पार्टियां मौजूद हैं,वह बाबा साहेब के नाम पर दलितों से वोट तो मांगती हैं, परंतु दलितों के लिए कोई काम नहीं करती। पिछले70 सालों में किसी पार्टी ने दलितों और गरीबों के बच्चों के लिए बेहतर शिक्षा की व्यवस्था नहीं की। सभी पार्टियां प्राइवेट स्कूलों के साथ मिलकर सांठगांठ करके, साल दर साल फीस बढ़ाती हैं, मुनाफा कमाती हैं। सरकारी स्कूलों की स्थिति बद से बदतर कर दी गई।
अभी तक देश में जितनी भी पार्टियां थी उनका एजेंडा था की सफाई कर्मचारी का बच्चा सफाई कर्मचारी ही बने, ऑटो वाले का बच्चा ऑटो ही चलाए, मजदूर का बच्चा मजदूरी ही करे। पहली बार देश में एक ऐसी पार्टी आई है, आम आदमी पार्टी जो कहती है कि हम सफाई कर्मचारी के बच्चे को डॉक्टर बनाएंगे, मजदूरों के बच्चों को इंजीनियर बनाएंगे। आम आदमी पार्टी ने न केवल कहा बल्कि करके दिखाया है। पिछले साल दिल्ली सरकार के स्कूल से लगभग 350 बच्चे देश के सर्वोच्च इंजीनियरिंग संस्थान आईआईटी में दाखिल हुए हैं। अब दलितों के और गरीबों के बच्चे इंजीनियर बन रहे हैं। यही सपना था बाबा साहेब भीमराव अंबेडकर जी का।
अरविंद केजरीवाल ने कहा कि मुझे बेहद खुशी है कि राजकुमार आनंद जी पार्टी में वापस आए हैं। मैं इस मंच के माध्यम से उन्हें आश्वासन देता हूं कि हमारी पार्टी की जो विचारधारा है, मिलजुल कर उस पर काम करेंगे, गरीबों दलितों और पिछड़े वर्ग के लिए मिलजुल कर काम करेंगे।
सभा को संबोधित करते हुए राजकुमार आनंद ने कहा कि मैं मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल जी का दिल से आभार व्यक्त करता हूं कि उन्होंने पुरानी सभी बातों को पीछे छोड़कर हमें दोबारा से पार्टी में शामिल होने का मौका दिया। उन्होंने कहा कि पूर्व में कुछ गलतफहमी के कारण मैं और मेरी पत्नी वीणा आनंद ने पार्टी की सदस्यता त्याग दी थी परंतु आज दोबारा से हम अपनी विचारधारा वाली पार्टी से जुड़ने जा रहे हैं।
मैंने आम आदमी पार्टी को अपनी विचारधारा वाली पार्टी इसलिए कहा क्योंकि इस पार्टी ने दलितों को,गरीबों को और मजदूरों को भी बेहतर शिक्षा का अधिकार दिया। सरकारी स्कूलों की स्थिति जर्जर अवस्था में थी जिसके कारण दलित और गरीब वर्ग के बच्चे स्कूल जाने से कतराते थे आम आदमी पार्टी ने सरकारी स्कूलों में शिक्षा की ऐसी बेहतर व्यवस्था की है कि आज गरीबों के दलितों के बच्चे स्कूल जाने में फख्र महसूस करते हैं।
बाबा साहेब भीमराव अंबेडकर जी का सबसे पहला सूत्र था शिक्षा जिसे लेकर आज आम आदमी पार्टी चल रही है।
दलित समाज के लिए आम आदमी पार्टी ने जितना काम किया है शायद ही किसी पार्टी ने किया होगा।2013 में चुनाव जीतने के बाद तुरंत दिल्ली की जनता के लिए आधे दामों पर बिजली और मुफ्त पानी की योजना को लागू किया। उसके बाद आम आदमी पार्टी ने दलित समुदाय के लिए भीम विकास प्रतिभा योजना लागू की। दलितों के बच्चों के लिए उच्च शिक्षा में मुफ्त कोचिंग की सुविधा लागू की। गरीबों और दलितों के बच्चों की उच्च शिक्षा के लिए 10 लाख तक के लोन का प्रावधान किया।
शिक्षा से संबंधित एक वार्ता का हवाला देते हुए राजकुमार आनंद ने कहा कि वार्ता के दौरान स्मृति इरानी जी ने एनसीईआरटी के कोर्स में वीर सावरकर का 1 अध्याय जोड़ने की पेशकश रखी। वही वीर सावरकर जिसका आजादी की लड़ाई में कोई योगदान नहीं है। दिल्ली के उपमुख्यमंत्री एवं शिक्षा मंत्री मनीष सिसोदिया जी ने इसका विरोध किया, और इस पर मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल जी ने ऐलान किया कि हम दिल्ली सरकार के स्कूलों में अंबेडकर जी का एक अध्याय शामिल करेंगे। उन्होंने कहा कि भाजपा को सावरकर पढ़ाने दो, हम अपने बच्चों को अंबेडकर बढ़ाएंगे।
राजकुमार आनंद जी ने मंच के माध्यम से कहा कि मैं बिना किसी पद के लालच के इस पार्टी में एक कार्यकर्ता के तौर पर अरविंद केजरीवाल जी और बाकी सदस्यों के साथ मिलकर दलित समाज और गरीब समाज के उत्थान के लिए तन मन धन से काम करूंगा।
