Chief Minister of Delhi, Shri Arvind Kejriwal felicitated children awarded with National bravery award for the year 2017 in a function organized by Indian Council for Child Welfare at Delhi Secretariat today. These 18 children have shown exceptional courage and were recommended by the NBA(National Bravery Award Selection Committee) Selection Committee for the bravery awards for the year 2017.

The Dy. Chief Minister and Education Minister, Shri Manish Sisodia presided over the function. President, Indian council for Child welfare, Smt. Geeta Siddharth, Co-Chairperson National Bravery Award Selection Committee, Smt. Veena Seth, Smt. Aditi Desai, Smt. Radha Bhargav and Smt. Utpala Mukhopadhyaya were also present on this occasion. Total 18 Children were recommended & selected by the selection committee for the National Bravery Award 2017 for showing exceptional courage and bravery. These children included Km. Nazia for Bharat award, Late Km. Netravati M. Chavan with Geeta Chopra Award, Master Karanbeer Singh with Sanjay Chopra award, Master Bepshwajonh Peinlang with Bapu Gaidhani Award, Km. Mamata Dalai with Bapu Gaidhani Award, Master Sebastian Vincent with Bapu Gaidhani Award, Km. Laxmi Yadav, Mansha.N, Master N. Shangpong Konyak, Master Yoaknai, Master Chingai Wangsa, K. Samridhi Sushil Sharma, Master Zonuntluanga, Master Pankaj Semwal, Master Nadaf Ejaj Abdul Rauf, Late Km. Loukrakpam Rajeshwori Chanu, Late Master F. Lalchhandama, Master Pankaj Kumar Mahanta.

Welcoming the Children awarded with National Bravery Awards, Shri Kejriwal said “you are diamond of the nation, we are proud of you, we salute your bravery”. He said that these brave children have enhanced the dignity of the society and the country and the whole country is proud of them. Shri Kejriwal said that the fearless children are asset for the society and will always bring glory to the nation.

Dy. Chief Minister, Shri Manish Sisodia said “I welcome all the brave kids, their parents and mentors”. These children have left the fear far behind and the society has to learn a lot from such fearless children. He said that Children are more fearless than the adults. He wished adults to learn the lesson of bravery from the children.

CHILDREN ARE MORE FEARLESS THAN ADULTS- DY. CHIEF MINISTER, SHRI MANISH SISODIA 

Shri Sisodia said that Delhi Government has decided to bear the cost of education of such brave children from Delhi. He said that Delhi Government has formulated a policy under which the Government will provide free training for sports and Art, Culture and Song and drama e.t.c to the school children for over all development of their personality.
