Bangladesh Edu Minister visits Delhi govt school with Dy CM Sisodia

Dy CM Sisodia and the Bangladesh Minister visited RPVV Shalimar Bagh
New Delhi: Deputy Chief Minister and Education Minister of Delhi, Shri Manish Sisodia along with a team of delegates from Bangladesh headed by the Minister of State for Primary and Mass Education, Bangladesh, Md Zakir Hossain, visited a Rajkiya Pratibha Vikas Vidyalaya (RPVV) located at Shalimar Bagh, New Delhi on Wednesday.
Welcoming the team from Bangladesh amidst an assembly of students, teachers and news reporters present their at the occasion, Shri Manish Sisodia said, “We welcome the Hon’ble Minister and his team from Bangladesh and appreciate their keen interest in understanding the various educational reforms undertaken by the Delhi Government in the past four years.
The credit goes to the team of teachers, principals, and parents who have done wonders. When we came to power, we never thought as an educationist, we only had the belief that whatever dreams we had for our country, these would only be realised by using the pipeline of education. Only when fix the problem of education, we will have solutions to all other issues too.”
He stressed on the urgent need of bringing in reforms in the system of education through Happiness Curriculum and other programmes. Shri Manish Sisodia said, “ We have decided to allocate 25% of the budget of Delhi government to education.”
Minister of State for Primary and Mass Education, Bangladesh, Md. Zakir Hossain also addressed the audience. He said , “We are very charmed to hear that things are going on in a positive way. We will review this programme and take the benefits from this. I am moved by the active participation from students, teachers and parents alike. We invite the teachers to visit my country as well. We are focussed towards providing quality education to our children. I appreciate your hospitality towards me and my team. I invite the deputy CM to come to my country and share the good things of this curriculum amongst my children too”
It was also highlighted that to impart knowledge, the teachers should also be well aware of the world happenings. And in order to make them more aware, the Delhi Government has started sending them on trips to countries like Singapore and Finland,
“Our motive is to make our teacher learn about the world around them and pass it on to the students, and help us deliver world class professionals, “ said Shri Manish Sisodia
Discussing about the positive impact of the Happiness Curriculum, he said, “ We are targeting kids from nursery classes, and reserving 45 minutes of their time daily for the happiness class. This is to ensure that the kids grow up to be more emotionally sound and become more focussed towards their studies. We have got positive results on this. The minds of the student don’t wander anymore. They are giving more respect to their kids are giving more respect to their families.”
The Deputy CM and Education Minister of Delhi, Shri Manish Sisodia spoke in depth about the Entrepreneurship Mindset Curriculum as well.
“I am sure this delegation will also look at the regular interventions that have been there in education reform, clerical corrections are providing the financial support, mid-day meals, addressing basic need of electricity and water supply, but administrative reforms are different , fixing the problem of education and then using education to fix the problems of our society is our motive now,” said Shri Manish Sisodia.
Dhruv, a student of class 8th said, “I used to feel irritated earlier, but after happiness curriculum was introduced, I don’t fight anymore.”
Aditi, a student of class 6th added, “Our teacher told us a story about the importance of helping others. I have inculcated that in my life now, I feel good about it.”
