Thousands of farmers and farm-labourers are marching from Nashik to the state capital-Mumbai to ‘Gherao’ the assembly. Their demands are legitimate- 1. Ownership of forest land and it’s use for cultivation by adivasis as stipulated under the Forests Act,20062. Minimum support price for farmers’ crop yields and a loan waiver to ensure that they escape spiraling debts and resulting debt traps, that they’re presently stuck in.AAP supports their movement and has always believed in the implementation of Swaminathan Commission’s recommendations of a minimum support price, unconditional loan waiver and adequate irrigation.
The Farmers’ move to encircle the assembly is a desperate attempt after all mainstream parties- the ruling BJP,Shiv Sena and the opposition Congress and NCP have failed them.
BJP’s Devendra Fadnavis Govt has failed farmers miserably and merely believes in PR exercises sans execution of work . It has played a cruel joke on farmers, with a cap of 1.5 lakh Rupees for compensation, which when combined with the application glitches and fine print conditions, has been catastrophic for farmers reeling under successive years of debt and crop failure.
It may be recalled, that the BJP won the elections, by promising too implement the Swaminathan Commission’s recommendations, but now when in power, has pandered to vested interests and has failed to implement it. Farm distress is wide-spread in rural maharashtra, ranging from farmer deaths going unabated to unavailability of crop loans. AAP stands shoulder to shoulder, with our farmer breathren and demands that the Govt deliver on it’s promise or resign. Status-quo is both unacceptable and unsustainable.

हजारोंच्या संख्येने शेतकरी व शेतमजूर नाशिकहून मुंबईच्या दिशेने विधानभवनास घेराव घालण्यासाठी निघालेले आहेत.
त्यांच्या खालील मागण्या पूर्ण झाल्या पाहिजेत.
1.वनजमिनीची मालकी व मशागतीसाठीचा तिचा वापर आदिवासींना करू देण्याचा अधिकार वने कायदा 2006 अन्वये आदिवासींना द्या.
2.शेतमालाला हमीभाव मिळाला पाहिजे व संपूर्ण कर्जमुक्ती मिळाली पाहिजे,जेणेकरून कर्जाच्या जंजाळातून शेतकरी मुक्त होईल.आम आदमी पक्ष शेतकऱ्यांच्या मागण्यांचे समर्थन करीत असून स्वामीनाथन आयोगाच्या शिफारसीप्रमाणे शेतमालास किमान हमीभाव व कोणत्याही अटीशिवाय संपूर्ण कर्जमुक्ती झाली पाहिजे व शेतीसाठी मुबलक पाणी उपलब्ध झाले पाहिजे.
भाजपा – शिवसेनेच्या खोट्या आश्वासनांना कंटाळून व काँग्रेस – राष्ट्रवादीच्या नाकर्तेपणामुळेच
शेतकरी-राजा विधानभवनास घेराव घालण्यासाठी सज्ज झाला आहे.
भाजपाचे देवेंद्र फडणवीस सरकार शेतकरी हित साधण्यात अयशस्वी ठरले आहे आणि फक्त न केलेल्या कामकाजाची जाहिरातबाजी करण्यास व्यस्त आहे. शेतकऱ्यांची क्रूर थट्टा शासन करीत आहे.सततचे शेतकऱ्यांचे कर्ज आणि नापीकी यापासून मार्ग काढण्यास शासन अपयशी ठरले आहे.
भाजपाने स्वामिनाथन कमिशनच्या शिफारसींची अंमलबजावणी करण्याचे वचन देऊन निवडणूक जिंकली होती, परंतु आता सत्तेत असताना,स्वार्थी हितसंबंधांची जपवणूक करतानाच सदर शिफारशींची पूर्तता करण्यास अयशस्वी ठरले.हमीभाव न मिळाल्यामुळे व पीक कर्ज न मिळाल्यामुळे शेतकर्यांच्या आत्महत्यांचे प्रमाण वाढले आहे.आम आदमी पार्टीने खांद्याला खांदा लावून आपल्या शेतकर्याच्यासोबत सरकारविरोधात लढण्याचे ठरविले असून शासनाने आश्वासनांची पूर्तता करावी किंवा राजीनामा द्यावा अशी मागणी केली आहे.शासनाचा पळपुटेपणा अस्वीकार्य आहे.
दिनांक 11 मार्च रोजी सोमैया मैदान येथे आप नेते व कार्यकर्ते किसान मोर्चामध्ये सहभागी होणार!
