All Improvement Trusts and 20 Welfare Boards in Punjab dissolved
- On 30th Mar 2022, the Punjab AAP government replaced the chairpersons of 29 improvement trusts with the Deputy Commissioners of the respective districts. The move was aimed to rid these trusts of political appointees from previous governments.
- Likewise on 28th Apr 2022, 20 welfare boards were dissolved. The boards that have been dissolved include: Kamboj Welfare Board, Bazigar and Tapprivas Welfare Board, Brahman Welfare Board, Khatri Arora Welfare Board, Dalit Welfare Board, and Rai Sikh Welfare Board.
