Minister Social Welfare Rajendra Pal Gautam inaugurated the Third Edition of Miss Trans Queen India 2019 today

The one of its kind beauty pageant showcases different facets of trans women

• The 3rd Edition of Miss Trans Queen India 2019 was declared today at Dilli Haat, Janakpuri, inaugurated by Social Welfare Minister Rajendra Pal Gautam.

Nithu RS from Karnataka, Bangalore was announced the winner; First runner up Shelly Rai from Chhattisgarh & 2nd runner up was Bonita from Jodhpur.

In an emotional moment Miss Trans Queen India 2018 Veena Sendre crowned her successor. Amongst the 11 participants, Nithu won the judges hearts and also won the Best Evening Gown title. The winner received beauty treatment voucher worth RS 60,000 from Derma Circles by Prateek Sondhi & free surgery from Synergy Cosmetics Surgery Clinic, Surat Gujarat by Dr Navtar Patel.

This is one of its kind peagent show which presents transgender community in a different way, and with all respect and humility they should be accepted as they are.

Constitution has given everyone equal rights and privileges, society has to change the way, it look upto them, Minister said.

Delhi government is working equally for all the communities irrespective of their class, sex, creed and gender. As we believe in the formation of just society and equal representation to all. Providing platform like this will definitely open new avenues for them which have been unexplored so far, he said.

Moving a step further, Delhi Government has already announced the formation of Transgender Welfare State Board, which would be notified soon.

The board would address all their issues and problems faced by them, in a timely and result oriented manner.

Reena Rai – Founder of Deepa Ardnareshwar Empowerment foundation said,” In our society, Trans Women suffer lot of humiliations & struggles in life. We give them this platform so that they can climb the rope of success & build confidence levels. This is a stepping stone to glamour industry as the winners also represent the country on an International platform like Ms. International Trans Queen”
