The Aam Aadmi Party launched a fierce attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his party on Friday. Senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Leader and Rajya Sabha Member Shri Sanjay Singh accused the BJP of putting Manish Sisodia in jail by hook or by crook to defame CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal. He challenged PM Modi to answer what crime Manish Sisodia had committed to justify his arrest. He called the BJP a party of corrupt politicians. He also accused PM Modi of promoting corruption and crony capitalism and giving taxpayer money to Adani. The AAP has vowed to continue to fight against corruption and expose the BJP’s scams, despite all the obstacles put in its way.

In a press conference on Friday, Shri Sanjay Singh challenged PM Modi to tell the country how much money was recovered from the CBI raids on Shri Manish Sisodia’s house, village, office, and bank lockers, and what crime he committed to justify his arrest. He alleged that the BJP is involved in scams worth hundreds of thousands of crores, including the Adani scam, and is trying to divert attention from it by creating ridiculous drama and stories about the opposition leaders through central investigation agencies, like the CBI and ED.

He emphasised that the CBI found nothing despite all possible raids on Sisodia. Moreover, his name was not mentioned in the first and second charge sheets filed after recording the witnesses’ statements. “Even after the CBI inquired for five days and then again for two days, nothing was found,” he said.

The AAP Senior Leader alleged that the timing of Shri Manish Sisodia’s arrest by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) was deliberate and politically motivated. “Coming just a day before Shri Manish Sisodia’s bail hearing in the CBI case, this whole conspiracy reeks of malice,” he added. Shri Sanjay Singh accused the BJP and PM Modi of resorting to such desperate tactics to keep Shri Manish Sisodia in jail.

The MP accused the BJP of promoting corrupt politicians in its ranks. “The BJP has become a party where the more corrupt an individual is, the higher they are promoted within the party,” he said.

Shri Sanjay Singh pointed out several examples of BJP leaders who have been accused of corruption but were rewarded with high positions within the party or the government. He cited the case of Himanta Biswa Sarma, who was accused of involvement in a water scam by BJP, but was later made the Chief Minister of Assam. He also mentioned Mukul Roy, who was accused in the Saradha scam but was made the national vice-president of the BJP.

He further highlighted the case of Shubhendu Adhikari, who was being probed in the Saradha scam but was made the leader of the opposition in West Bengal by the BJP. He also pointed out the case of Narayan Rane, whose land scam was being probed by the CBI but was still made a Union minister by the BJP.

He then took up the case of Ajit Pawar, who was accused of involvement in a 40 lakh crore corruption scandal in the irrigation scam by the BJP using the ‘Chakki peesing and peesing and peesing’ jibe. Despite this, he was sworn in as a minister in the Devendra Fadnavis government. The list goes on, as he highlighted the case of BS Yeddyurappa, who was accused of involvement in a mining scam but was still made the Chief Minister of Karnataka.

He added the name of Shivraj Singh Chouhan as well, who was accused of involvement in the Vyapam scam but was still made the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh by the BJP. Singh concluded that this is the condition of the BJP, and the whole country is witness to its corrupt practices.

Shri Sanjay Singh also highlighted how the BJP turns a blind eye to cases involving its own members even when cash is recovered. He pointed out how the investigative agencies enter ‘Ghajini mode’ in such cases. They suffered memory loss when 8 crore cash was found in the house of the son of a BJP MLA.

He further alleged that no investigative agencies have taken action against Adani’s company, which received 42,000 crores of black money from 6 companies in Mauritius.

The AAP Senior Leader also said that PM Modi’s slogan is ‘Wheat for drugs.’ He reminded the citizens that 3000 kg of heroin worth Rs 20,000 crore, sourced from the Taliban, was seized from Adani’s Mundra port. Shri Sanjay Singh accused PM Modi of giving 20,000 tonnes of wheat to the Taliban in exchange for drugs worth 20,000 crores. He accused PM Modi of giving hundreds of crores of rupees to Adani from India’s budget, promoting corruption and crony capitalism.

Shri Sanjay Singh concluded by saying that the AAP will not be deterred by the BJP’s tactics and will continue to fight against corruption and expose their scams. He challenged PM Modi to have the moral courage to answer his questions about the evidence found against Shri Manish Sisodia.
