New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party on Friday welcomed the decision of Delhi Chief Minister Mr Arvind Kejriwal for announcing the free pilgrimage scheme for the elders to the Kartarpur Sahib and also for lifting the odd-even for 11th & 12th November on the occasion of 550th birth anniversary of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
“On behalf of the Aam Aadmi Party I want to thank Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for announcing the free pilgrimage scheme to elders for the Kartarpur sahib’s visits which is situated in Pakistan on the occasion of 550th birth anniversary of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji,” said Mr Jarnail Singh, senior AAP leader and MLA from Tilak Nagar.
He also said, “I am also thankful to the Delhi Chief Minister for lifting the odd-even for 11th and 12th November by accepting the demand of the Sikh community people of Delhi on the occasion of Gurupurab. The Delhi government has also arranged kirtan for the celebration of Gurupurab across Delhi gurdwaras. The way Makkah Medina is a holy place for the Muslims, Kailash Manasarovar is a holy place for Hindus it is the same way Kartarpur corridor is a holy place for the Sikh people. It has always been a dream for the Sikh people to visit the Kartarpur Sahib but because it situated in Pakistan and always needed permission from the Ministry of Home Affairs it was difficult. It is a great honour not only for the Sikh community of Delhi but also for the people of Sikh community living all over the country and the world.”
He added that now as the India and Pakistan government has taken the decision to make this corridor and Delhi CM has taken the decision to give free pilgrimage to the elders to the Kartarpur Sahib, dreams of many elders will be fulfilled. “Any government could have taken this step to make this pilgrimage free, but it was Arvind Kejriwal who did it. There were many discussions on the fees of rupees $20 from the side of Pakistan to visit Kartarpur Sahib but the Delhi government has decided to bear this cost for elderly people,” he added.
Adding to his statements, senior AAP leader and MLA from Kalkaji Mr Avtar Singh Kalkaji said, “I am thankful to Mr Arvind Kejriwal for extending free pilgrimage scheme for the elders to Kartarpur Sahib and also for lifting odd even in the occasion of Guru Purab. It is the good fortune of Chief Minister Mr Arvind Kejriwal, who got this opportunity to serve Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji in this manner. It’s a historic decision and people from all over the country and abroad are happy with this decision of Mr Arvind Kejriwal. “

पार्टी मुख्यालय में हुई एक प्रेस वार्ता को संबोधित करते हुए तिलक नगर विधानसभा से आम आदमी पार्टी के विधायक जरनैल सिंह ने बताया, कि दिल्ली के मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल जी द्वारा दिल्ली में रहने वाले सिख समुदाय के लोगों के लिए, बाकी अन्य समुदाय के लोगों की भांति करतारपुर साहिब की यात्रा के लिए मुफ्त तीर्थ यात्रा योजना की घोषणा कर दी गई है। उन्होंने बताया कि मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल जी के इस ऐलान से पूरी दिल्ली के सिख समुदाय में खुशी की लहर है। चारों तरफ से गुरुद्वारा कमेटी के पदाधिकारियों की, सिख समुदाय के आमजन की फोन कॉल्स आ रही हैं, सब लोग दिल से मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल जी का धन्यवाद कर रहे हैं।
जरनैल सिंह ने कहा कि 12 तारीख को गुरु नानक देव जी का 550 वां पर्व पूरे देश में हर्षोल्लास के साथ मनाया जा रहा है और ऐसे मौके पर दिल्ली के मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल जी का दिल्ली के सिख समुदाय के लिए मुफ्त तीर्थ यात्रा योजना का तोहफा न केवल दिल्ली के सिख समुदाय के लिए बल्कि पूरे देश में रह रहे सिख समुदाय के लोगों के लिए एक बहुत बड़ा सम्मान है। जिस तरह से मुस्लिम समुदाय के लिए मक्का मदीना, हिंदू समुदाय के लिए कैलाश मानसरोवर उनके जीवन में बहुत बड़ा स्थान रखता है, उसी प्रकार से सिख समुदाय के लिए पाकिस्तान में स्थित करतारपुर साहिब सिखों के जीवन में बहुत बड़ा स्थान रखता है।
जरनैल सिंह ने मीडिया कर्मियों को संबोधित करते हुए कहा कि देश की अन्य राज्यों की सरकारों को भी इस प्रकार के कदम उठाने चाहिए थे। परंतु ऐसा कदम उठाने के लिए एक सकारात्मक सोच का होना बेहद जरूरी है, जो केबल अरविंद केजरीवाल जी के पास है।
साथ ही साथ उन्होंने यह भी बताया की 12 तारीख को गुरु नानक जी का 550 वां प्रकाश पर्व पूरे देश में बड़े व्यापक स्तर पर मनाया जा रहा है। इस कार्यक्रम के तहत दिल्ली में भी अलग-अलग गुरुद्वारा संगते नगर कीर्तन में भाग लेती हैं। दिल्ली की कई गुरुद्वारा संगतो की ओर से मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल जी के पास निवेदन पत्र आया था, कि 11 और 12 तारीख के दिन ऑड इवन फार्मूले से छूट दी जाए, ताकि सिख समुदाय अपने पर्व को पूरे हर्षोल्लास के साथ मना सकें। उन्होंने बताया कि पूरे सिख समुदाय के लिए यह बेहद ही खुशी की बात है, कि मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल जी ने सिख समुदाय की मांग पर 11 और 12 तारीख को ऑड ईवन से छूट का ऐलान कर दिया है। अब पूरी दिल्ली में सिख समुदाय अपने पर्व को पूरी खुशियों के साथ मना सकेगा। जरनैल सिंह ने पूरी दिल्ली के सिख समुदाय की ओर से मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल जी को धन्यवाद दिया।
प्रेस वार्ता में मौजूद कालकाजी विधानसभा से आम आदमी पार्टी के विधायक अवतार सिंह कालका ने कहा कि आजादी के बाद से लेकर आज तक पिछले 70 सालों से पूरे देश का सिख समुदाय करतारपुर साहिब के दर्शनों के लिए तरस रहा था। उन्होंने कहा कि यह दिल्ली के अच्छे भाग्य हैं कि दिल्ली को अरविंद केजरीवाल जी जैसा एक मुख्यमंत्री मिला, जो सभी समुदाय के, सभी धर्मों के लोगों का सम्मान करते हैं। साथ ही साथ उन्होंने कहा कि ईश्वर भी अच्छे लोगों को पहचानता है और यही कारण है कि इस पुण्य कार्य के लिए ईश्वर ने सबसे पहले दिल्ली के मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल जी को चुना।
अवतार सिंह कालका ने बताया कि न केवल देश में बल्कि विदेशों में रहने वाले सिख समुदाय के भारतीय मूल के निवासी भी फोन करके इस महान और पुण्य कार्य के लिए दिल्ली सरकार और दिल्ली के मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल जी का धन्यवाद कर रहे हैं।
