INDIA alliance’s AAP candidate from New Delhi Lok Sabha seat, Shri Somnath Bharti, filed his nomination on Saturday for the upcoming poll with huge public support. A large number of people who love democracy and the Constitution participated in his nomination march. With AAP flags in their hands and caps on their heads, people pledged to give ‘Jail ka jawab vote se’ (answer the jail by voting). Shri Somnath Bharti, who came out for nomination after taking the blessings of the elders of the house, was accompanied by AAP’s Delhi State Convener and Cabinet Minister Gopal Rai, Cabinet Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj, Mayor Dr Shelly Oberoi and many MLAs and councillors.
Shri Somnath Bharti’s wife Ms. Lipika and their two children could be seen in the march to file the nomination papers for the New Delhi Lok Sabha seat.
The nomination procession of INDIA alliance candidate Somnath Bharti from New Delhi started at around 10 am from DMS Sabzi mandi, O-block West Patel Nagar and culminated at Grover Sweets, West Patel Nagar. A large number of supporters participated in his nomination march. Supporters raised slogans to save democracy and save the Constitution. Apart from this, a lot of slogans were also raised like ‘Jhadoo ki chhot se, Jail ka jawab vote se’ (Jail will be answered by voting on broom).
In the procession that was taken out for filing of nomination papers by Shri Somnath Bharti, Shri Gopal Rai said that the BJP MP, who was the representative from New Delhi and remained Union Minister for years, has not done any work in the area. They have also put Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal, who has been working for the people of Delhi, in jail, due to which there is huge anger among the public against the BJP. People are eagerly waiting for May 25 to give their answer with their vote.
Voices are being raised across country against BJP’s dictatorship: Gopal Rai
AAP’s Delhi State Convenor Shri Gopal Rai said that voices are being raised against the dictatorship of the BJP in the entire country. People are discussing two major issues all over Delhi. First, the people of New Delhi Lok Sabha voted for the BJP and made her MP for 10 years. After winning from here, she also became a Union Minister, but did not do anything for the people of New Delhi in 10 years. There is huge resentment among the people. Secondly, Arvind Kejriwal was working for the public in Delhi, these people also picked him up and put him in jail. That is why there is double anger among the people in New Delhi. The people have only one slogan, ‘Tanashahi hatao, kaam karne wala saansad banao’ (Remove dictatorship, elect the MP who will work).
Shri Gopal Rai said that Shri Somnath Bharti was elected MLA in Malviya Nagar for three consecutive terms and worked for the people. Today, the people from New Delhi want such a public representative. The people of Delhi are eagerly waiting to answer the dictatorship of BJP with their votes. Our best wishes are with Somnath Bharti that he successfully contests and wins this election. Just like the Kejriwal government works, Somnath Bharti will work for the people of Delhi by becoming Kejriwal’s MP and become a voice against this dictatorship.

Shri Somnath Bharti said that this time’s election is a different election. This time the election is directly an election to save democracy and the Constitution. The 10-year-old BJP government has worked to weaken the country at every level _ whether it’s democracy or the Constitution. They have ruined democracy. Three-time elected Delhi Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal was arrested and taken away in the dead of night without any evidence.
