With MCD elections around the corner, the Aam Aadmi Party is putting all its might in the battle on the ground. After days of campaigning by the party’s top-brass, AAP National Convenor and Delhi CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal took to on-ground campaigning, on Tuesday. The AAP Convenor could be seen leading a door-to-door campaign in Chirag Delhi where he talked to every resident on his way and patiently explained to them the party’s pitch for the polls. During the campaign, he also sat down at a local chai-tapri to sip tea with the locals and get a sense of the political atmosphere at the grassroots. Local MLA and AAP Chief Spokesperson Shri Saurabh Bhardwaj accompanied the CM on the door-to-door campaign with the party’s candidates by his side. As soon as the word spread about the Delhi CM camping in the area, the residents flocked out to the streets in large numbers, every street of the locality was jam-packed with locals wanting to express their support to the AAP, who then walked behind the CM throughout the campaign.

CM Arvind Kejriwal interacts with locals at a Chai-Tapri, takes feedback on governance
Seeing the response of the overwhelming crowds, Shri Arvind Kejriwal stopped at a Chai-Tapri to interact with them. During the interaction a local man talked to the CM about how there used to be a water crisis in the area which the AAP Government resolved. Replying, the CM said, “I had come to this area first when we were contesting our first elections. It was around two in the afternoon. And I saw a shocking sight of children carrying canisters on their cycles to fetch water for their homes. Upon enquiring I learnt that even affluent homes faced a water crisis. We resolved to fix this crisis that day. I am happy to know that there is no water crisis here anymore.” He further took the public’s feedback on the water supply and asked them whether anyone still faced any problems to which the crowd unanimously replied that their water problems have been solved completely.

The AAP Convenor then pivoted to the party’s main agenda for the elections — BJP’s garbage mismanagement. He sought to initiate a discussion with the crowd to understand how their homes are affected by the garbage crisis. He said, “There’s garbage all over Delhi. Every nook and corner has its own mini-dump now. It was the MCD’s responsibility to look after garbage disposal but over the last 15 years, they have completely failed at it. Today, I am standing firm on my ground and committing to everyone that when AAP comes to power in MCD, it will clean up all of Delhi’s garbage in no time.”
To this a local remarked, “When you came here and said that you’ll fix our water problem, we thought at least someone wants to fix our problems, let’s give him a chance instead of BJP-Congress. Then, we saw how your government fixed our water problem, gave us uninterrupted electricity and a robust sewer system. We are certain that it is only you who can rid us of garbage, you have our full support.” Replying to him the CM said, “We have to come together and solve this garbage problem. It pains my heart to see Delhi be engulfed by garbage. Despite being the CM, I have no power to clean this garbage because of the division of powers. If you let us run the MCD, then we will be able to clear out the garbage very easily. Give me 5 years in MCD, we will give you a sparkling clean Delhi.”
Free electricity, free Teerth Yatra a favourite among Delhiites; Mohalla Clinics, Schools-Hospitals helping citizens lead better lives
Shri Arvind Kejriwal then took stock of the electricity situation in the area. He asked the locals whether they are all getting zero bills or not and if they are facing any problems at large. After getting a positive response from the crowd he asked them whether or not they should be entitled to free electricity given how BJP abuses the AAP for offering free electricity. The crowd voiced an unprecedented response in favour of free electricity supply, thanking the CM for his scheme. He then stated, “On my way here, I met a group of elderly women. They had all recently returned from a Teerth Yatra under the free pilgrimage scheme we run. They were very happy and gave me a lot of blessings. The elderly of Delhi are very happy with the free Teerth Yatra scheme; I will now take all the senior citizens to Ayodhya to have darshan of Shri Ram Lalla Ji.” As he was speaking, lots of elderlies from the crowd got up to talk about how they had also gone on the pilgrimage and blessed the CM abundantly for looking after them. At the conclusion of the interaction, while the whole crowd extended its support to AAP, dozens and dozens of locals came ahead to speak about how Mohalla Clinics, Schools and Hospitals run by the AAP Government are helping them lead better lives.

After the campaign, the AAP Convenor addressed the media. He said, “We had promised the locals of Chirag Delhi that we’d solve their water problems. Today they are all very happy with the quality of the water supply they are getting. I learnt that the locals are very happy with the performance of the government school here as well. The public said that they are getting zero-bills, and gave very positive feedback on the free pilgrimage scheme. What else can make one happier than their people taking full benefit of your policies. Now it is time to clean garbage. I don’t have the power to clean garbage. But when we come to MCD, we’ll clean it in no time. We are appealing to everyone to give us one chance in the MCD and we are getting fantastic acceptance from them.”

He added, “What shocks us is that even in their last days in the MCD, these people are trying to commit one scam after the other. They have recently handed over all the Khattas of Delhi to big private companies. They have completely ruined the state of roads, gallis and drains all over Delhi. We will now take the responsibility to save Delhi. There’s unparalleled excitement in the public this time, we are seeing greater support than last time. We will hopefully get over 230 seats this time. The BJP has deployed 7 Chief Ministers, 1 Deputy CM, and 17 Central Ministers to campaign in MCD elections. And against them, you see me, an Aam Aadmi, fighting it out alone. Had these people done some work they would not have needed their whole battalion of CMs to campaign against me.”

I was talking to one of their ministers, they told me that there’s a complete embargo on talking about their 15 year long run. Will it solve the people’s problems? Will abusing Kejriwal clean Delhi? What is the point of abusing anyone? Talk about your merit, if you dare to. I received a whatsapp text this morning that Delhiites have shut the shops of BJP leaders in Delhi, so they have started the BJP Video Company in Delhi. They run video shows for the public like a Cinema. Their morning show starts at 9AM, but it flops so bad that their shop closes at 12 noon itself. Their short films have no songs, no dance, they try to get their leaders to feature in some item songs in their videos yet the public doesn’t watch them. Their videos have no effect, they have no appeal, no consequence. This is why their Video Company is also failing and they have not released any new film this week.”

आम आदमी पार्टी के राष्ट्रीय संयोजक एवं दिल्ली के सीएम अरविंद केजरीवाल ने आज दिल्ली नगर निगम चुनाव को लेकर चिराग दिल्ली के राधे-राधे गली में डोर टू डोर कैंपेन किया। इस दौरान स्थानीय विधायक सौरभ भारद्वाज समेत अन्य गणमान्य लोग मौजूद रहे। सीएम अरविंद केजरीवाल ने स्थानीय लोगों से बातचीत की और दिल्ली सरकार की तरफ से दी जा रही बिजली-पानी समेत अन्य जन सुविधाओं के बारे में भी जानकारी ली। इस दौरान सीएम अरविंद केजरीवाल ने कहा कि सीएम अरविंद केजरीवाल ने कहा कि दिल्ली में चारों तरफ कूड़ा-कूड़ा हो रहा है। यह देखकर मुझे बहुत तकलीफ होती है। पूरी दिल्ली में बहुत गंदगी हो रखी है। एमसीडी का यह काम है, लेकिन एमसीडी ने यह काम नहीं किया। एक मौका आम आदमी पार्टी को दे दो, मैं पूरी दिल्ली का कूड़ा साफ कर दूंगा। अब हमें दिल्ली की सफाई करनी है। जब मैं दिल्ली में जगह-जगह कूड़ा देखता हूं तो मुझे बहुत तकलीफ होती है। मेरा वश नहीं चलता है। मुख्यमंत्री होकर भी मैं कुछ नहीं कर पाता हूं, क्योंकि यह काम नगर निगम का है। दिल्ली की जनता एमसीडी में आम आदमी पार्टी को मौका देगी तो अगले पांच साल में दिल्ली को साफ-सुथरी बना दूंगा।

चिराग दिल्ली में डोर-टू-डोर कैंपेन के दौरान मीडिया से बात करते हुए ‘‘आप’’ के राष्ट्रीय संयोजक अरविंद केजरीवाल ने कहा कि 2013 में जब पहला चुनाव लड़ा था, जब चिराग दिल्ली आया था। उस समय यहां पर लोगों को पानी की बहुत दिक्कत थी। तब मैं वादा करके गया था कि मेरी सरकार बनी, तो मैं यहां पानी उपलब्ध कराउंगा। सरकार बनने के बाद हमने यहां के लोगों को पानी उपलब्ध करा दिया है और लोग बहुत खुश हैं। यहां पर एक मोहल्ला क्लीनिक खुला है। लोगों को मोहल्ला क्लीनिक में अच्छा इलाज और फ्री दवाइयां मिल रही हैं। यहां पर एक सरकारी स्कूल है। सरकारी स्कूल से लोग बहुत खुश हैं। लोगों के बिजली के बिल जीरो आ रहे हैं। बहुत से माताएं और बुजुर्ग भी मिले, जो तीर्थ यात्रा करके आए हैं और सभी संतुष्ट हैं। सीएम अरविंद केजरीवाल ने कहा कि अब दिल्ली के बुजुर्गों को अयोध्या ले जाकर भगवान श्रीरामचंद्र जी का दर्शन कराकर लाउंगा। उन्होंने कहा कि अब दिल्ली में कूड़ा साफ करना है। दिल्ली की सफाई करनी है, दिल्ली को चमकाना है। दिल्ली की जनता इस बार आम आदमी पार्टी को एमसीडी में एक मौका देने के लिए तैयार है। ये एमसीडी से जाते-जाते भी गड़बड़ कर दिए हैं। दिल्ली के जितने खत्ते हैं, उसे बड़ी-बड़ी कंपनियों को ठेके पर दे दिए हैं। अब कूड़ा डालने की कोई जगह नहीं बची है। हमारी सरकार बनेगी, तो घर-घर से कूड़ा उठाएंगे। सड़कों, गलियां और नालियों की सफाई कराएंगे और दिल्ली को साफ करेंगे।

सीएम अरविंद केजरीवाल ने कहा कि दिल्ली की जनता में आम आदमी पार्टी को लेकर बहुत उत्साह है और बहुत खुश हैं। दिल्ली की जनता पिछली बार से भी ज्यादा जोर-शोर से इस बार हमें वोट देगी। मुझे लगता है कि एमसीडी में आम आदमी पार्टी की सीटें 230 से ज्यादा आनी चाहिए और भाजपा की 20 से भी कम सीटें आएंगी। अलग-अलग राज्यों से भाजपा के सात मुख्यमंत्री आए हुए हैं। इसके अलावा दिल्ली में डिप्टी सीएम केशव मौर्या और 17 केंद्रीय मंत्री आए हुए हैं और मैं अकेला घूम रहा हूं। अगर ये 15 साल काम कर लेते, तो इतने मुख्यमंत्री व केंद्रीय मंत्री को बुलाने की जरूरत नहीं पड़ती। इनका एक केंद्रीय मंत्री कह रहा था कि उन्होंने उसको एक पर्ची दी हुई है। उस पर्ची में जो लिखा है, वही बोलना है। उस पर्ची में एक भी काम नहीं लिख रखा है। उस मंत्री ने अपनी पार्टी से पूछा कि 15 साल में क्या काम किए, मैं जनता को क्या बताउं। तो वो कहते हैं कि कोई काम नहीं बताना है। केजरीवाल को सिर्फ गालियां देनी है। मैं उनसे पूछना चाहता हूं कि क्या केजरीवाल को गाली देने से दिल्ली का कूड़ा उठा जाएगा, दिल्ली की सफाई हो जाएगी? जैसे मैं अपने काम बता रहा हूं, ये भी अपने काम बताएं। अगर इन्होंने कोई काम किया हो, तो काम बताओ, केजरीवाल को गाली देने से क्या फायदा है? भाजपा द्वारा लाए जा रहे वीडियो पर ‘‘आप’’ के राष्ट्रीय संयोजक अरविंद केजरीवाल ने कहा कि मेरे पास आज एक वाट्सऐप मैसेज आया। जिसमें लिखा था कि दुनिया की सबसे बड़ी पार्टी की दिल्ली वालों ने दुकान बंद कर दी है। अब उन्होंने वीडियो कंपनी चालू की है। जैसे हर शुक्रवार को फिल्म रिलीज होती है, उसी तरह इनका हर रोज एक वीडियो रिलीज होता है। इनका नौ बजे मार्निंग शो शुरू होता है और दोपहर 12 बजे तक शो खत्म हो जाता है और इनकी सारी फिल्म फ्लॉप हो जाती है। इनकी वीडियो में न तो कोई गाना, न कोई डांस होता है। इनकी सारी फिल्में फ्लॉप हो गई है और अब चार दिन से कोई फिल्म नहीं आ रही है।
‘‘आप’’ के राष्ट्रीय संयोजक अरविंद केजरीवाल ने ट्वीट कर कहा, ‘‘ आज चिराग़ दिल्ली में डोर-टू-डोर प्रचार किया। वहां लोगों से मिला, उनके साथ बैठकर चाय पी और उनसे बात की। दिल्ली की जनता एकदम तैयार बैठी है और एक ही बात बोल रही है- अब एमसीडी में भी ‘‘आप’’ चाहिए। दो करोड़ दिल्लीवासियों के साथ मिलकर दिल्ली को साफ़-स्वच्छ और सुंदर बनाएंगे।’’
स्थानीय लोगों ने कहा- सीएम अरविंद केजरीवाल ने निभाया पानी देने का वादा
स्थानीय निवासियों ने सीएम अरविंद केजरीवाल से कहा कि जब पहली बार आम आदमी पार्टी ने दिल्ली विधानसभा का चुनाव लड़ा था, तब आप (अरविंद केजरीवाल) यहां आए थे। उस दौरान क्षेत्र में पानी की बहुत दिक्कत थी। तब आपने वादा किया था कि आम आदमी पार्टी की सरकार आएगी, तो क्षेत्र के लोगों को पानी मिलेगा। ‘‘आप’’ की सरकार आने के बाद से क्षेत्र के लोगों को भरपूर पानी मिल रहा है। आपने पानी देने का अपना वादा निभाया। स्थानीय लोगों ने कहा कि पहले भाजपा और कांग्रेस की सरकार थी, तब हमें बिजली-पानी नहीं मिला और सीवर की सफाई नहीं हुई। लेकिन जब आम आदमी पार्टी की सरकार आई है, तब से हमें बिजली-पानी मिल रहा है और सीवर भी साफ हो रहा है।
लोगों ने कहा, मोहल्ला क्लीनिक में मिल रहा अच्छा इलाज
स्थानीय लोगों ने दिल्ली सरकार द्वारा खोले गए मोहल्ला क्लीनिक की जमकर तारीफ की। लोगों ने कहा कि इस मोहल्ला क्लीनिक के खुलने से स्थानीय लोगों को बहुत फायदा हो रहा है। लोगों को दूर नहीं जाना पड़ रहा है। बहुत सारी बुजुर्ग और महिलाएं हैं, उनको घर से कुछ दूरी पर ही मोहल्ला क्लीनिक मिल जाता है और मोहल्ला क्लीनिक में खूब बढ़िया इलाज हो रहा है।
सरकारी स्कूलों और तीर्थ यात्रा की लोगों ने की तारीफ
डोर-टू-डोर कैंपेन के दौरान स्थानीय लोगों ने सीएम अरविंद केजरीवाल को बताया कि हमारे यहां जो सरकारी स्कूल थे, वो पहले बहुत खराब थे। लेकिन आम आदमी पार्टी की सरकार ने उस सरकारी स्कूल को बहुत बढ़िया बना दिया है। इससे बढ़िया सरकारी स्कूल हमने कहीं देखा भी नहीं है। जब से सौरभ भारद्वाज जी विधायक बने हैं, तब से स्थानीय लोगों को काफी सुविधाएं मिली हैं। एक स्थानीय ने बताया कि वो दिल्ली सरकार द्वारा संचालित तीर्थ यात्रा योजना के तहत रामेश्वरम् गया था। हमारी यात्रा बहुत ही शानदार रही। हमें जाने-आने और दर्शन करने में कोई भी दिक्कत नहीं हुई।
चाय वाले ने कहा, ‘‘आप’’ की सरकार में हर चीज की मौज
डोर-टू-डोर कैंपेन के दौरान सीएम अरविंद केजरीवाल का काफिला एक ढाबे पर चाय की दुकान पर पहुंचा। वह दुकान तोता राम जी की है। वहां पर सीएम अरविंद केजरीवाल व ग्रेटर कैलाश से विधायक सौरभ भारद्वाज ने स्थानीय लोगों के साथ चाय भी पी और सबने उनकी चाय की खूब तारीफ की। तोता राम ने बताया कि आम आदमी पार्टी की सरकार में हर चीज की मौज हो रही है। जब से आम आदमी पार्टी की सरकार आई है, तब से कोई किसी चीज की दिक्कत नहीं है। फ्री बिजली, पानी, शिक्षा और इलाज से उन्हें महंगाई से काफी राहत मिली है।
स्थानीय लोगों ने अरविंद केजरीवाल को दिया अपना पूर्ण समर्थन
सीएम अरविंद केजरीवाल के डोर-टू-डोर कैंपेन के दौरान बड़ी तादात में स्थानीय लोग जमा हो गए। सभी लोग अपने चहेते मुख्यमंत्री को देखने और मिलने के लिए ललायित थे। सीएम अरविंद केजरीवाल का कैंपेन जैसे-जैसे आगे बढ़ा, लोगों की भीड़ भी बढ़ती गई। स्थानीय लोगों ने कहा कि ‘‘आप’’ की सरकार ने हमें हर तरह की सुविधाएं दी है। जबकि भाजपा शासित नगर निगम ने साफ-सफाई का मुख्य काम भी नहीं किया है और सभी लोग नाराज है। इस बार सबने मन बना लिया है कि अब एमसीडी में भी केजरीवाल की सरकार लानी है। स्थानीय लोगों ने कहा कि उनकी तरफ से आम आदमी पार्टी को पूरा समर्थन है। एमसीडी में केजरीवाल की सरकार भी बनेगी और हमारा स्थानीय पार्षद भी केजरीवाल का होगा।
