Meeting with Police and RWAs of CR Park regarding chain snatching incident with ANI Journalist

A meeting was organized by MLA Saurabh Bharadwaj of Greater Kailash Assembly at office of East Begal Displaced Persons ( EBDP ) Association at Chittaranjan Park with Sr officers of Delhi Police today evening . There was lot of concern and anxiety among the Sr Citizens and women about their safety in CR Park. This is festival season at Chittaranjan Park whem people are out on roads for festival shopping and preparations for Durga Puja. Police has assured they are trying to work out the case of snatching that happened yesterday with a ANI lady Journalist at CR Park.Police officers informed that they have rounded up some suspects too.
The meeting was attended by representatives of many RWAs and Durga Puja Samities. The discussion was also around better Police arrangements for law and order as well as traffic.
It was agreed and decided that no external Vehicles will be allowed to enter into CR Park during the three days of Durga Puja from 6.10.2019 to 8.10.2019 after 5 PM. Only residents would be allowed to take their vehicles inside CR Park with speacial stickers. Even E Rikshaws would not be allowed to ply after 5 pm on those roads.
As the CCTV Cameras till now were being installed on the internal roads of CR Park, now EBDP will coordinate with local MLA office of Saurabh Bharadwaj to install cameras on the main roads as well.
MLA Saurabh Bharadwaj raised with Police a serious Concern about hundreds of vendors who would encroach all the footpaths of CR Park during Puja. Due to connivance of MCD and local Police, hundreds of vendors would appear onnthe roads and footpaths thus causing a lot of inconvenience and nuisance for the Puja visitors . The CR Park is in state of Chaos in three days of Durga Puja. ACP has assured the Puja Samitis that they will take strict action against such encroachers.
