NEW DELHI
The Delhi Government under the leadership of CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal has launched the Delhi Robotics League for Delhi’s school students. This novel program was launched on Friday at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar School of Specialised Excellence, Surajmal Vihar in the presence of the Director Education Shri Himanshu Gupta. This league is a unique, first of its kind tournament to be organised at the school-level across the country. Through this spectacular initiative, the Delhi government endeavours to generate curiosity for the field of robotics amongst children studying in its schools, to find and groom talent for the future of this field. Students of class 9th and 10th will get a chance to showcase and enhance their skills in robotics. In this league, students will compete with working robots built and designed by them in different stages, and the winning team will receive a cash award, as well as opportunities to receive seed capital and mentorship from IIT Delhi to begin an entrepreneurial venture. IIT Delhi’s Technology Innovation Hub IHFC will play the role of knowledge partner and the Delhi government’s School of Specialized Excellence will organise a boot camp for mentorship of the teams participating in the competition.
The Deputy Chief Minister Shri Manish Sisodia wished the organisers & participating students his best wishes, and said that technology is rapidly changing all over the world in the current era. In this time of constant technological evolution, countries that can adapt and relearn reach the top of the developmental ladder. He said that it is a matter of great pride that through events like Delhi Robotics League, the children studying in our schools are preparing themselves for the future.
Shri Manish Sisodia said, “our students have immense enthusiasm and passion to learn about new technology and the Delhi government is giving these children an opportunity to move forward through programs like the Delhi Robotics League.” He said that students will perform brilliantly in this league on the basis of their talent. This league will prove to be a new chapter for the education system of Delhi and create a conducive environment for promoting new-age science and technology in our schools.
Addressing the event for the launch of the Delhi Robotics League, Himanshu Gupta, Director, Education, said, “Delhi government schools have been constantly working to improve the quality of education imparted to their students through new and innovative initiatives. In light of this, we have started the Delhi Robotics League for school students to build working prototypes of robots.” He said that this competition will inculcate curiosity and generate enthusiasm among the students for the field of robotics and provide them with an opportunity to showcase and hone their technological skills.
IIT Delhi Professor and IHFC Project Director Prof. S.K. Saha said, “if we give opportunities for robotics and manufacturing of robotics etc. to the students at the school level itself, then the youth of our nation will soon be equipped with scientific mindset of the future, allowing our nation to grow and excel in the field of technology on the basis of their talent.”
Features of Delhi Robotics League
-Students of class 9th and 10th of Delhi Government Schools, as well as recognized schools of Delhi will be able to participate in this competition.
-Each team will consist of 5 students and a teacher will be involved as a mentor.
-IIT Delhi will organise a boot camp for mentorship of students of Delhi Government’s High End 21st Century Skills and STEM Ambedkar SOSEs.
-There will be no fee for participating in the competition.

Stages of the competition
• Registrations are open starting 16th December; Last date – Jan 26
• Stage 1 – Qualification Stage – Submission date in Feb; Results declaration in March

केजरीवाल सरकार द्वारा दिल्ली के स्कूलों के लिए ‘दिल्ली रोबोटिक्स लीग’ की शुरुआत की गई। शुक्रवार को डॉ. भीमराव अम्बेडकर स्कूल ऑफ़ स्पेशलाइज्ड एक्सीलेंस, सूरजमल विहार में शिक्षा निदेशक हिमांशु गुप्ता की उपस्थिति में इस शानदार कार्यक्रम को लांच किया गया| केजरीवाल सरकार द्वारा आयोजित ये लीग देशभर में स्कूली स्तर पर आयोजित होने वाला अपनी तरह का पहला और अनूठा कार्यक्रम है। इस शानदार पहल के माध्यम से केजरीवाल सरकार का उद्देश्य अपने स्कूलों में पढ़ने वाले बच्चों के अंदर रोबोटिक्स के क्षेत्र में जिज्ञाषा उत्पन्न करना, इस क्षेत्र के लिए प्रतिभाओं को खोजना और उसे निखारना है। दिल्ली सरकार के इस अनूठे पहल के माध्यम से कक्षा 9वीं व 10वीं के छात्रों को अपने रोबोटिक्स स्किल्स को दिखाने और उसे बेहतर बनाने का मौका मिलेगा| इस लीग के माध्यम से छात्र विभिन्न चरणों में अपने द्वारा बनाये गए वोर्किंग रोबोट्स के साथ प्रतियोगिता करेंगे और फाइनल में जीतने वाली टीम को पुरस्कार राशी के साथ अपने स्टार्टअप की शुरुआत के लिए सीड मनी व मेंटरशिप के मौके दिए जायेंगे| बता दे कि इस लीग में आई.आई.टी दिल्ली का टेक्नोलॉजी इनोवेशन हब आई.एच.एफ.सी नॉलेज पार्टनर की भूमिका निभाएगा व केजरीवाल सरकार के स्कूल ऑफ़ स्पेशलाइज्ड एक्सीलेंस से प्रतियोगिता में भाग लेने वाली टीमों के मेंटरशिप के लिए बूट कैंप का आयोजन करेगा|
इस मौक़े पर उपमुख्यमंत्री व शिक्षामंत्री मनीष सिसोदिया ने सन्देश देते हुए इसमें भाग लेने वाले छात्रों व आयोजकों को शुभकामनायें देते कहा कि,आज पूरे विश्व में टेक्नोलॉजी लगातार तेज़ी से बदलती जा रही है। टेक्नोलॉजी के इस बदलते दौर में जो भी देश इसके अनुरूप ढल रहे है वो आज विश्व के शीर्ष देशों में शामिल है। उन्होंने कहा कि यह बेहद ख़ुशी की बात है कि रोबोटिक्स लीग जैसे आयोजनों के माध्यम से हमारे स्कूलों में पढ़ने वाले बच्चे स्वयं के साथ पूरे समाज को आने वाले समय के लिए तैयार का रहे है।
श्री सिसोदिया ने कहा कि हमारे स्कूली बच्चों में नई टेक्नोलॉजी को सीखने का उत्साह और लगन है और केजरीवाल सरकार ‘दिल्ली रोबोटिक्स लीग’ जैसे कार्यक्रमों के माध्यम से इन बच्चों को आगे बढ़ने का मौक़ा दे रही है। उन्होंने कहा कि हमारे स्कूली बच्चे अपनी प्रतिभा के दम पर इस लीग में शानदार प्रदर्शन करेंगे। ये लीग दिल्ली के स्कूल एजुकेशन सिस्टम के लिए एक नया अध्याय साबित होगा और हमारे स्कूलों में विज्ञान और प्रोद्योगिकी के लिए एक बेहतर माहौल तैयार करेगा|
दिल्ली रोबोटिक्स लीग के लॉन्च के अवसर पर शिक्षा निदेशक हिमांशु गुप्ता ने कहा, “दिल्ली सरकार के स्कूल नियमित रूप से नई और इनोवेटिव पहल के माध्यम से अपने छात्रों को दी जाने वाली एजुकेशन की क्वालिटी को और बेहतर बनाने का काम कर रहे है| इस दिशा में हमने स्कूली छात्रों के लिए वर्किंग प्रोटोटाइप बनाने के लिए दिल्ली रोबोटिक्स लीग की शुरुआत की है। उन्होंने कहा कि यह प्रतियोगिता छात्रों में रोबोटिक्स के क्षेत्र में जिज्ञासा को बढ़ावा देगी, उत्साह पैदा करेगी और उनके तकनीकी कौशल को बेहतर बनाने और प्रदर्शित करने का अवसर प्रदान करेगी करेगी। इसके माध्यम से छात्रों में डिजाइनिंग और रोबोट के प्रोटोटाइप बनाने का टेक्नोलॉजिकल नॉलेज डेवलप होगा|
आईएचएफसी के प्रोजेक्ट डायरेक्टर प्रो. एस.के. साहा ने कहा, अगर हम स्कूली स्तर से ही छात्रों में रोबोटिक्स और रोबोटिक्स के निर्माण आदि के मौके देते हैं, तो देश को भविष्य में एक बड़ी संख्या में साइंटिफिक माइंडसेट से लैस ऐसे युवा मिलेंगे जो अपने प्रतिभा के दम पर भारत को टेक्नोलॉजी के क्षेत्र में अव्वल बनाने का काम करेंगे|
दिल्ली रोबोटिक्स लीग की विशेषताएं, कौन ले सकेगा भाग?
-दिल्ली सरकार व दिल्ली के मान्यता प्राप्त स्कूलों के 9वीं व 10वीं कक्षा के छात्र इस प्रतियोगिता में भाग ले सकेंगे|
-हर टीम में 5 छात्र शामिल होंगे व एक शिक्षक मेंटर के रूप में शामिल होंगे
-केजरीवाल सरकार के हाई एंड 21st सेंचुरी स्किल्स व् स्टेम एसओएसई के छात्रों के मेंटरशिप के लिए आईआईटी दिल्ली बूट कैंप का आयोजन करेगी|
-प्रतियोगिता में भाग लेने के लिए किसी भी प्रकार की फीस नहीं होगी|
- जीतने वाली टीम को पुरस्कार राशी के साथ अपने स्टार्टअप की शुरुआत के लिए सीड मनी व मेंटरशिप के मौके दिए जायेंगे|

प्रतियोगिता के चरण
लीग में भाग लेने के लिए सभी स्कूल की टीमें 16 दिसम्बर से 26 जनवरी तक रजिस्ट्रेशन कर सकते है|
स्टेज 1- ये क्वालिफिकेशन स्टेज होगा जहाँ फरवरी में सभी टीमें अपना मॉडल सबमिट करेगी| मार्च में पहले राउंड के विजेताओं की घोषणा की जाएगी|
स्टेज 2 – ये प्रोटोटाइप स्टेज होगा जहाँ जून तक टीमें अपना रोबोट सबमिट करेंगे व इस राउंड के विजेताओं की घोषणा जून में की जाएगी|
फिनाले- जुलाई में लीग के फाइनल स्टेज का आयोजन किया जायेगा|
