The Delhi Government under the leadership of CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal is continuously working towards strengthening the public health infrastructure and providing the best health facilities to all citizens in Delhi. In view of this, Health Minister Shri Raaj Kumar Anand conducted a surprise inspection of Lok Nayak Jai Prakash (LNJP) Hospital on Friday. On this occasion, he visited various wards and OPD of the hospital, met with the patients undergoing treatment here and inquired about the arrangements made in the hospital along with their health information.

The Health Minister instructed the staff to ensure that the people coming for treatment get quality treatment. He also instructed to improve the cleanliness system of the hospital.

The Health Minister reviewed the arrangements at the free medicine counter of the hospital. Further, the Health Minister inspected the medical claims being made by the hospital management. He also instructed to make additional arrangements to manage overcrowding at the medicine counter. “Health is a priority area for the government. Therefore, any kind of negligence will not be tolerated in providing health facilities to the people. Instructions have been given to the hospital administration to make the hospital a model hospital of the country by removing the clutter of the hospital,” he asserted.

During the visit, the minister himself ate the food at the hospital to test the quality of the food being served to the patients. “Service to patients is service to God. If the patients are treated sweetly, then half of the disease goes away in the same way, it is necessary to treat them with service. There should be no compromise on the quality of the food served to the patients in the hospital,” the Minister added.

He added, “Positive energy is transmitted through a clean environment. That’s why the cleanliness system in the hospital should be further improved.”

The Health Minister said that the Delhi Government not only aims to make every government hospital in Delhi better than private hospitals, but also to make Delhi government hospitals one of the best in the whole country. “The citizens of Delhi deserve world class facilities and we are making it a reality. We are working on the principle of providing best and equitable healthcare facilities to all the citizens of Delhi. Following the instructions of Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal, the treatment facility is being made more accessible in the hospitals of Delhi. Apart from this, the existing hospitals are being air-conditioned by making necessary changes,” he added.
