In this sequence, Former MP and Congress stalwart Shri Mahabal Mishra has joined the AAP during a Jansamvad in Paharganj of Karol Bagh assembly constituency. AAP National Convenor Shri Arvind Kejriwal inducted Shri Mahabal Mishra by hugging him and presented him with caps and patkas. Senior AAP leader Shri Manish Sisodia also congratulated him for becoming a part of the AAP family. After taking oath of membership of AAP, Shri Mahabal Mishra tweeted, “I thank Shri Arvind Kejriwal and Shri Manish Sisodia for welcoming me into AAP. About Shri Mahabal Mishra
Shri Mahabal Mishra is originally a resident of Siriyapur of Madhubani district in Bihar. He has been residing in Delhi for several years and is a prominent leader of Purvanchal community of Delhi. Shri Mahabal Mishra is an ex-servicemen. He was born on July 31st, 1953. His family consists of his wife, one daughter and two sons. He was a senior leader of the Congress Party. He was the Member of Parliament from West Delhi from 2009-14. Before getting elected to Parliament, he was the Member of Legislative Assembly of Delhi. He started his political career as a Delhi councillor in MCD, representing Dabri ward in 1997. He was elected as MLA of the Nasirpur constituency of Delhi Assembly in 1998. He was also elected as MLA in 2003 and 2008.

पूर्वांचल समाज के कद्दावर नेता हैं महाबल मिश्रा
महाबल मिश्रा मूलरूप से बिहार के मधुबनी जिला के अंतर्गत सिरियापुर के निवासी हैं। वे वर्षों से दिल्ली में रहते हैं और दिल्ली में पूर्वांचल समाज के कद्दावर नेता के तौर पर जाने जाते हैं। महाबल मिश्रा पूर्व सैनिक भी हैं। उनका जन्म 31 जुलाई 1953 को हुआ। उनके परिवार में उनकी पत्नी, एक बेटी और दो बेटे हैं। वे कांग्रेस के वरिष्ठ एवं कद्दावर नेता थे। 2009 से 2014 तक वे पश्चिमी दिल्ली से सांसद रह चुके हैं। सांसद चुने जाने से पहले महाबल मिश्रा विधायक चुने गए थे। उन्होंने 1997 में डाबरी वार्ड का प्रतिनिधित्व करते हुए दिल्ली नगर निगम से पार्षद के रूप में अपने राजनीतिक जीवन की शुरुआत की थी। वर्ष 1998 के दिल्ली विधानसभा चुनाव में वे नसीरपुर विधानसभा क्षेत्र से विधायक चुने गए। इसके बाद वर्ष 2003 व 2008 के विधानसभा चुनाव में भी वे विधायक चुने गए।
