AAP Senior Leader and Rajya Sabha MP Shri Raghav Chadha declared that the downfall of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will be administered by Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). He compared the situation to Kansa’s inability to harm Lord Krishna, stating that BJP and its agencies will not be able to harm CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal. The MP further praised the CM as a modern-day Mahatma Gandhi with unimpeachable integrity, stating that if he can be called corrupt, then no person deserves to be called honest.

Shri Raghav Chadha also raised questions about claims of the alleged corruption of 100 crores by the ED-CBI and questioned why the money was not recovered even after numerous raids during a one-year-long investigation. He defended Delhi’s liquor policy and argued that the increase in excise revenue in Punjab after its implementation was evidence that the policy was not at fault but rather the BJP’s intentions.

Furthermore, he accused the ED-CBI of sending summons on the basis of fabricated evidence and of having a record of 0% prosecution and 100% persecution. He also revealed that the Modi government registered 3555 new cases in 8 years but could only convict 23 people. The MP emphasised that the investigative agencies’ aim is to eliminate CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal, and as such, the AAP will file appropriate cases against CBI and ED officials for perjury and producing false evidence in courts.

On Saturday, AAP Senior Leader and Rajya Sabha MP Shri Raghav Chadha held an important press conference at the Aam Aadmi Party headquarters to address the Bharatiya Janata Party’s aim to eliminate Aam Aadmi Party and CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal in front of the public.

During the conference, Shri Raghav Chadha compared the BJP’s tactics to those of Kansa, who had made every possible effort to destroy Lord Krishna as soon as he was born, knowing that Lord Krishna would end him by incarnating. “Similarly, the BJP knows that their downfall will be heralded by CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal and Aam Aadmi Party, so they are making every possible effort to finish Shri Arvind Kejriwal and Aam Aadmi Party politically. He emphasised that just as Kansa could not even touch Lord Krishna’s hair, the BJP and its agencies will not be able to touch Shri Arvind Kejriwal’s hair. “The people of Aam Aadmi Party were born from the womb of the movement and will fight till death. We will continue to fight to save the existence of this country and to make India the number one country in the world,” he exclaimed.

The MP also stated that Shri Arvind Kejriwal is a modern day Mahatma Gandhi with unimpeachable integrity. “He is not afraid of the BJP’s investigative agencies, and the people of AAP are not the kind who will sit at home fearing the summons, raids, and jails of these agencies,” he said. Shri Raghav Chadha urged the BJP to use these investigative agencies on weak-hearted people who are afraid of them and not on a lionhearted person like Shri Arvind Kejriwal who is not afraid of their investigative agencies.

Stating that the last 10 years of Aam Aadmi Party’s journey has been a journey of struggle, he said that they have reached such a stage that the fear of BJP has taken hold on its head to such an extent that it is putting the leaders of Aam Aadmi Party behind bars one by one.

He asserted that the liquor policy implemented by the Delhi government has been successful in curbing the liquor mafia and increasing revenue for the state. However, the BJP has allegedly made baseless allegations that the policy has failed and has fabricated a scam. Shri Raghav Chadha stated that the Punjab government has also implemented a similar liquor policy, and it has been successful in ending the liquor mafia and increasing excise revenue by about 40 percent. “This indicates that the fault does not lie in the policy but rather in the BJP’s intentions,” he remarked.

Shri Raghav Chadha accused the BJP of concocting a fabricated scam and leaving the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to harass Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders. He emphasised that if the policy was corrupt, then the Punjab government would have faced similar problems. However, as they did not, it is clear that the allegations against the Delhi government are politically motivated, he said. He said that the Delhi government’s liquor policy was successful, and the BJP is attempting to use the ED and CBI to malign the reputation of the AAP. The people of Delhi and Punjab are aware of the BJP’s intentions and will not be swayed by their baseless allegations, he said.

Shri Raghav Chadha raised serious concerns about the methods used by the ED-CBI, in the ongoing liquor scam case. He cited specific examples of how fabricated evidence and false testimony are being presented in court by these agencies. He stated that the ED-CBI is tampering with court documents and creating fabricated cases against AAP. To support his argument, he gave the example of the allegations against Shri Manish Sisodia, which state that Sisodia destroyed 14 phones, amounting to destruction of evidence. This would make him guilty of tampering with evidence and result in his imprisonment. However, when the details of the 14 phones were presented in court by the ED-CBI, it was discovered that five of those phones were in the custody of the ED-CBI themselves. This means that the allegation of destroying 14 phones is completely false, and that the ED-CBI has been presenting fabricated evidence in court.

The MP’s second example was about the alleged scam of 100 crores by Shri Manish Sisodia. Despite no money being found during the raids on Sisodia’s house, village, bank locker, or relatives’ house, ED-CBI has accused him of scamming 100 crores. They have not been able to provide any evidence of this and have not even disclosed the whereabouts of the money. He questioned where the money went if it was earned through a scam. He also mentioned that for a year, ED-CBI has been probing this case, deployed over a thousand officers, and raided more than 400 places, but have not found any evidence. He pointed out that an investigating agency needs evidence to run a case, and asked the BJP and their investigating agencies where the alleged money of 100 crores is.

Thirdly, witnesses have reported being physically assaulted by ED operatives, as revealed in their medical reports. For instance, Chandan Reddy lost his hearing due to the beating he received from the ED. Witnesses were pressured into making false statements by being subjected to third-degree torture, with ED operatives threatening to break their eyes, nose, and ears if they did not take the names of Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia, claiming that they had given crores of rupees to them.

Lastly, most of the witnesses who appeared before the ED-CBI filed an application to withdraw their statements in court, claiming that they had been coerced and threatened by the ED-CBI to make false statements. These examples further demonstrate the unethical methods used by the ED-CBI in its investigation of the so-called liquor scam.

Shri Raghav Chadha stated that the Aam Aadmi Party will take legal action against the forgery committed by the investigating agencies, who are presenting false evidence before the court. “It is important for people to know how these agencies are torturing individuals and pressuring them to write false statements. Their sole purpose is to put Shri Arvind Kejriwal in jail and destroy the Aam Aadmi Party. The so-called liquor scam and corruption are not the real issues for them. Their main goal is to eliminate Shri Arvind Kejriwal, who does not compromise with the BJP and its people,” he said.

He also pointed out that the ED-CBI accused AAP of a scam of 100 crores and using that money for the election campaign in Goa. The investigating agencies questioned many of their vendors, even arrested the people who printed the posters, but till date, they have not found a single penny. The MP challenged the BJP to use these agencies against weak-hearted leaders who might join their party out of fear of the ED-CBI. However, the Aam Aadmi Party and Shri Arvind Kejriwal are not weak people, and they will fight until their last breath.

He explained that over the past 7-8 years, the BJP has falsely implicated many of their party members in ED-CBI police cases, and has prosecuted over 40 MLAs. However, one by one, all of the MLAs have been acquitted in these cases. Even attempts to prosecute CM’s own team members, from private secretary Rajendra Kumar to Satyendar Jain and Manish Sisodia, have failed because the goal is to harass, not prosecute. In the last 8 years, from 2014 to 2022, ED registered 3555 new cases. “However, if we look at the rate of conviction in these so-called corruption cases, they have only been able to convict 23 people,” he said.

Shri Raghav Chadha strongly stated that the BJP is responsible for the misuse of agencies and sending CBI summons to Shri Arvind Kejriwal. He warned the BJP to be prepared to face consequences for their actions. He urged the agencies to stop using intimidation tactics and violence during investigations. He pointed out that this kind of misuse of power is similar to the MISA Act of the 1970s, when the opposition leaders were imprisoned by the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.

Shri Raghav Chadha warned the BJP that their actions would have consequences, just like Indira Gandhi’s fate in the 1977 elections and said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi may meet the same fate in the 2024 elections.
