मुख्यमंत्री ने किया रजोकरी जोहड़ का इंस्पेक्शन
– दिल्ली सरकार ने हाल ही में इस जोहड़ का सौंदर्यीकरण किया है
– बस्तियों की सारी गंदगी, सारा कीचड़ और सीवर यहां के जोहड़ में आता था। इससे पूरे क्षेत्र में मक्खियों- मच्छरों का आतंक रहता था। इन सब समस्याओं के समाधान के लिए इस जोहड़ का सौंदर्यीकरण किया गया है : केजरीवाल

नई दिल्ली। दिल्ली के मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल ने रजोकरी में सौंदर्यीकरण किये गये एक जोहड़ का गुरुवार को निरीक्षण किया। दिल्ली सरकार ने हाल ही में इस जोहड़ का सौंदर्यीकरण किया है।
इस मौके पर अरविंद केजरीवाल ने कहा कि यहां कई झुग्गी बस्तियां हैं। बस्तियों की सारी गंदगी, सारा कीचड़ और सीवर यहां के जोहड़ में आता था। इससे पूरे क्षेत्र में मक्खियों- मच्छरों का आतंक रहता था। इन सब समस्याओं के समाधान के लिए इस जोहड़ का सौंदर्यीकरण किया गया है। यहां एक मिनी सीवेज ट्रीटमेंट प्लांट (एसटीपी) बनाया गया है जिसमें यहां के सीवेज को ट्रीट किया जाता है। इसकी रोजाना की क्षमता 6 लाख लीटर की है। सीवेज ट्रीट करने के बाद साफ पानी को दोबारा जोहड़ में डाल दिया गया है। आसपास घूमने के लिए ट्रैक बनाया गया है। लैंडस्केपिंग की गई है। बच्चों के लिए झूले लगाए जा रहे हैं। हरियाली बढ़ाने के लिए पेड़-पौधे, घास इत्यादि लगाई गई है। यहां ओपन जिम भी बनाया जाएगा। अब लोग यहां सुबह-शाम घूमने आ रहे हैं।
मिनी एसटीपी बनाने पर फोकस किया जाएगा
मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल ने कहा कि अब पूरी दिल्ली में मिनी एसटीपी बनाने पर फोकस किया जा रहा है। बड़े-बड़े एसटीपी बनाने में हजारों करोड़ रुपये खर्च होते थे और उनमें बड़े पैमाने पर भ्रष्टाचार भी होता था। स्थानीय लोगों की जरूरत के हिसाब से एसटीपी बनाना आज दिल्ली की जरूरत है। ये एसटीपी विभिन्न कालोनियों की जरूरत के हिसाब से बनाये जाएंगे। इनमें कॉलोनी से आने वाली सीवेज का ट्रीटमेंट हो सकेगा। मिनी एसटीपी की लागत बहुत कम है। इनमें बड़ी-बड़ी मशीनें, बड़े-बड़े पाइप इत्यादि की भी जरूरत नहीं है। इसलिए हम मिनी एसटीपी बनाने पर फोकस कर रहे हैं।
झीलों का शहर बनने जा रही है दिल्ली
अब दिल्ली झीलों की शहर बनेगी। मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल की अध्यक्षता में हाल ही में हुई दिल्ली जल बोर्ड की बैठक में राजधानी में 376 करोड़ रुपये की लागत से 159 झीलों के विकास योजना को मंजूरी दी गई।
इन झीलों में बरसात का पानी एकत्रित किया जा सकेगा। साथ ही एसटीपी से ट्रीटेट पानी को भी इनमें एकत्रित किया जा सकेगा। इन झीलों में भूजल रिचार्ज की सुविधा होगी। इसलिए इन झीलों का विकास होने के बाद यह परियोजना दिल्ली के गिरते भूजल स्तर को सुधार करने में मददगार साबित होगी।
इस प्रोजेक्ट को लेकर अपने एक ट्वीट में दिल्ली के मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल ने लिखा, “दिल्ली झीलों वाला एक शहर बनेगा। इससे प्रदूषण में कमी आएगी। ग्राउंड वाटर रिचार्ज होगा। इससे हमारा शहर खूबसूरत होगा। सभी झीलों को सुंदर लैंडस्केप के जरिए पर्यटक स्थल के रूप में विकसित किया जाएगा।”

On this occasion Sh. Arvind Kejriwal, Chief Minister and Chairman Delhi Jal Board said that there are many slum colonies around the water-body. All the dirt, mud, sewer of these settlements used to come in this water-body which caused the breeding of flies and mosquitoes in the entire area. The water-body is now rejuvenated and beautified thereby solving all these problems. A mini waste STP has been built which treats the generated waste water. Its daily treating capacity is 6 lakh litres. The clean water generated after treating the waste water is released in the water-body. Walking track has been built around the water-body in an eco-friendly manner; swings for the children and an open gym for the youngster will also be made available soon. The water-body is transformed with the vision to create it as a hygienic place for people in long term.
Focus on making Mini STPs
Chief Minister and Chairman Delhi Jal Board Sh. Arvind Kejriwal said that now the focus is laid on creating mini STPs in entire Delhi. Seeing the wastewater network within Delhi it is better to have mini STPs according to the needs of the residents than spending thousands of crores of rupees on large STPs in specific areas within the NCT of Delhi. The cost of setting up mini STPs is very low as they do not require large machines or pipes and can treat the waste water coming from single colonies.
Delhi will soon be a lake city
With the vision of making Delhi a city of lakes, Delhi Jal Board under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister Delhi/Chairman Delhi Jal Board approved the proposal for rejuvenation of 159 water-bodies all over Delhi at a total cost of 376 crores. Part from this 5 mega lakes would also be created. These water-bodies are designed scientifically to recharge groundwater to the maximum extent possible. They even have the potential to collect rain water. Apart from rain water treated water from STPs will be polished using natural wetlands and other methods to maintain the water levels in the water-body throughout the year. This step will improve the depleting groundwater levels of Delhi apart from making Delhi sustainable for water supply.
In a tweet about this project, Chief Minister Delhi, Sh. Arvind Kejriwal wrote, “Delhi will become a city of lakes. It will reduce pollution, recharge groundwater and make our city beautiful. All these lakes will be developed into tourist places with beautiful landscapes.”
