Delhi Government constitutes a 13 Member Committee to submit recommendations for the utilization of Rs. 50 Crore fund under ‘Chief Minister’s Advocates’ Welfare Scheme
- Delhi government constitutes a 13 member committee to submit recommendations for the utilization of Rs. 50 Crore fund under the Chief Minister’s Advocates’ Welfare Scheme.
- The committee led by Rakesh Kumar Khanna, Senior Advocate and the President of Supreme Court Bar Association will submit the recommendations within 10 days.
- Delhi government had announced the Scheme and allotted the fund in the current Budget in February.
- Chief Minister lauds the scheme as first of its kind scheme in the country, exclusively meant for the welfare of the advocates.
- Chief Minister terms it as another example of fulfilling the election promises and Delhi government’s sensitivity to address the needs of people belonging to various strata of the society.
New Delhi: Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announces a 13 Member Committee to submit recommendations for the utilization of Rs. 50 Crore fund under Chief Minister’s Advocates’ Welfare Scheme, in a press conference held at the Delhi Secretariat on Friday. “This is a good news for the community of advocates in Delhi. The committee will submit its report of recommendations within 10 days. We had allocated 50 Rs. crore for the welfare of the advocates in the current budget as an outlay under the scheme, as requested by various advocates’ organizations”, said Shri Arvind Kejriwal.
“Delhi government recognizes the invaluable contributions of the advocates to the society. It was a longtime demand from the advocate community to initiate an exclusive scheme for their welfare. It has been materialized now. This scheme is very unique, as no such scheme has been initiated so far in the country for the welfare of the advocates. Delhi government has made another model initiative in this regard”, the Chief Minister added.
13 member Committee constituted, Rakesh Kumar Khanna as Convenor
“Different advocates’ organizations have made various demands with respect to their welfare scheme. Factoring this, in order to submit recommendations for spending the fund and identifying the areas of welfare, Delhi government constitutes a 13 member committee led by Rakesh Kumar Khanna, Senior Advocate and the President of Supreme Court Bar Association. The members consists of representatives from various advocates bodies that demanded the welfare scheme. The committee will submit a report of recommendations within the next 10 days. Considering the recommendations of the committee, Delhi government will implement Chief Minister’s Advocates’ Welfare Scheme” as early as possible, said the Chief Minister.

“Advocates’ bodies had approached us before the last elections. It was one of the election promises that we made. We are responsibly fulfilling our promises in the manifesto one by one. Delhi government is responsive to consider the demands of various sections in the society, as we did in the cases of street vendors, JJ clusters and middle class population. People from the middle class complained of expensive electricity and we made the electricity bill ‘zero’ for them. Our government is sensitive to the needs of people and we fulfill them with utmost care and dedication”, the Chief Minister added.

मुख्यमंत्री वकील वेलफेयर स्कीम के तहत 50 करोड़ के खर्च पर 13 सदस्यीय टीम 10 दिन में लेगी निर्णय

- सीएम ने कहा, प्रस्ताव आते ही वकील कल्याण का काम जल्द हो जाएगा प्रारंभ

भारत में पहले बार दिल्ली सरकार वकील कल्याण के लिए 50 करोड़ रुपये खर्च करने जा रही है। इस रकम को किस मद में व कैसे खर्च किया जाएगा, इसका निर्णय करने के लिए दिल्ली के सभी वकील संघ के प्रतिनिधियों को शामिल कर 13 सदस्यीय टीम बनाई गई है। जिसके संयोजक सुप्रीम कोर्ट बार एसोसिएशन के अध्यक्ष राकेश खन्ना को बनाया गया है। यह कमेटी 10 दिन में अपनी रिपोर्ट देगी। जिसके आधार पर मुख्यमंत्री वकील वेलफेयर स्कीम के तहत 50 करोड़ रुपये खर्च होंगे। दिल्ली सरकार ने शुक्रवार को कमेटी गठन का निर्णय ले लिया। मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल ने कहा कि कमेटी की सिफारिश आते ही दिल्ली सरकार उसे तत्काल लागू कर देगी। उन्होंने कहा कि वकीलों का समाज में बहुत बड़ा योगदान है। जिसे दिल्ली सरकार स्वीकार भी करती है। हमने चुनावी घोषणापत्र में वकील कल्याण की बात की थी। आज उसे भी पूरा कर दिया।
बजट में किया गया था 50 करोड़ का प्रावधान, वकील कल्याण के लिए देश में सबसे बड़ी रकम – अरविंद केजरीवाल
मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल ने कहा कि वकीलों के लिए अच्छी खबर है। दिल्ली सरकार ने बजट में वकीलों के लिए मुख्यमंत्री वकील वेलफेयर स्कीम के तहत 50 करोड़ रुपये का प्रावधान किया था। पूरे देश में किसी सरकार ने ऐसा नहीं किया। आज तक इतनी बड़ी रकम देश में किसी सरकार ने वकील वेलफेयर के लिए नहीं रखा। वकील समाज में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाते हैं। हम उसे मानते भी हैं। यह 50 करोड़ कहां खर्च होना चाहिए, इसपर वकीलों की विभिन्न संस्थाओं ने अलग – अलग मांग रखी है। हम नहीं चाहते हैं कि इसपर निर्णय सरकार करे। इसके लिए आज दिल्ली सरकार ने एक निर्णय लिया है, जिसके तहत वकीलों के विभिन्न संगठन के प्रतिनिधियों को शामिल कर 13 सदस्यीय कमेटी आज बनाई गई है। इस कमेटी को 10 दिन के अंदर रिपोर्ट देनी है। इनकी रिपोर्ट आते ही दिल्ली सरकार उस सिफारिश को मान लेगी। उसी आधार पर मुख्यमंत्री वकील वेलफेयर स्कीम को लागू किया जाएगा।
जिस वर्ग ने दिल्ली सरकार से संपर्क साधा, उसके वेलफेयर का काम किया – अरविंद केजरीवाल
मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल ने कहा जो भी सरकार से मांग करता है, उसे हम जरूर पूरा करते हैं। रेहड़ी पटरी, झुग्गी झोपड़ी, मध्य वर्ग की मांग पूरा किया। लोगों ने कहा बिजली बिल महंगी है तो बिलजी बिल शून्य कर दिया। वकीलों को संगठन भी एक दो साल से संपर्क कर रहे थें। हमने उनकी मांग को भी मान लिया।
फरवरी 2019 में वकीलों ने की थी मुख्यमंत्री से वेलफेयर स्कीम की मांग, सीएम ने किया पूरा
दरअसल 12 फरवरी 2019 को देशभर के वकीलों ने चिकित्सा सुविधा व पेंशन योजना को लेकर अदालतों में हड़ताल रखी थी। उसी दिन वकीलों के एक प्रतिनिधि मंडल ने दिल्ली के मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल से मुलाकात कर अपनी मांगे रखी थीं। मुख्यमंत्री ने मांगों को पूरा करने का आश्वासन दिया था। इसके बाद दिल्ली सरकार की बजट में वकील वेलफेयर के लिए 50 करोड़ का प्रावधान किया गया।
मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल ने कहा कि वर्ष 2015 में हुए चुनावों में वकीलों के बड़े योगदान से ही वह 70 में से 67 विधानसभा चुनाव जीताने में सफल रहे थे। हमने अपने मेनिफेस्टो में भी वकील वेलफेयर की बात की थी। जिसे हमने पूरा किया। अरविंद केजरीवाल ने कहा कि वकीलों के कल्याण के लिए वह ऐसा मॉडल पेश करेंगे, जोकि पूरे देश नहीं बल्कि पूरे विश्व में बेहतरीन होगा।
