नई दिल्ली, 23 फरवरी 2019, शनिवार को विधानसभा में सत्र के दौरान एक प्रेस वार्ता करते हुए दक्षिणी दिल्ली लोकसभा के प्रभारी राघव चड्ढा ने कहा कि खुद को सैक्युलर बताने वाली कांग्रेस पार्टी का असली चरित्र जनता के सामने आ गया है।
कांग्रेस के बड़े नेता और कांग्रेस सरकार के समय केंद्रीय मंत्री एवं मुख्यमंत्री जैसे उच्च पदों पर आसीन रहे हरीश रावत के बयान की निंदा करते हुए उन्होंने कांग्रेस से पूछा की हरीश रावत का यह बयान, की आने वाले लोकसभा में जीतने पर कांग्रेस राम मंदिर बनाएगी, क्या कांग्रेस पार्टी इस बयान का समर्थन करती है?
हरीश रावत द्वारा एक न्यूज़ चेनल को दिए गए बयान का हवाला देते हुए उन्होंने कहा कि जब पत्रकार ने हरीश रावत से पूछा कि क्या पार्टी आपके बयान का समर्थन करती है तो हरीश रावत ने जवाब में कहा कि मैंने ये बयान एक सप्ताह पहले दिया था, और आज तक पार्टी के किसी भी नेता ने इसका खंडन नहीं किया, अर्थात मेरे बयान को पार्टी का ही बयान समझा जाए

राम मंदिर का मामला बड़ा ही संवेदनशील मामला है। करोड़ों लोगों की आस्थाओं से जुड़ा हुआ मामला है। क्योंकि राम मंदिर का मामला सुप्रीम कोर्ट में विचाराधीन है, तो ऐसे में कांग्रेस की ओर से इस प्रकार का बयान सुप्रीम कोर्ट की अवमानना करने के बराबर है, और यह दर्शाता है, कि कांग्रेस का देश की न्यायपालिका में एवं कानून व्यवस्था में कोई विश्वास नहीं है।
प्रेस वार्ता के माध्यम से राघव चड्ढा ने कांग्रेस पार्टी के समक्ष कुछ प्रश्न रखें जो निम्न प्रकार से हैं….
1- क्या कांग्रेस पार्टी के राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष राहुल गांधी हरीश रावत के बयान का समर्थन करते हैं?
2- क्या कांग्रेस पार्टी धर्म के नाम पर चुनाव लड़ना चाहती है?
3- अयोध्या मामला सुप्रीम कोर्ट में लंबित है, तो क्या कांग्रेस केवल चुनावी लाभ के लिए यह बयान दे रही है?
4- क्या राम मंदिर मामले पर कांग्रेस, भाजपा की बी टीम बन कर यह बयान दे रही है?
5- भाजपा से पहले लगातार 10 साल केंद्र में कांग्रेस की सरकार रही, तब हरीश रावत एवं कांग्रेस पार्टी ने मंदिर क्यों नहीं बनवाया?
6- क्या कांग्रेस अपने 1993 के बयान से मुकर रही है, जिसमें कांग्रेस ने विवादित स्थान पर लाइब्रेरी बनाने की बात कही थी?
अंत में राघव चड्ढा ने कांग्रेस पार्टी के सेकुलरिज्म का भांडा फोड़ते हुए कहा, कि यही कांग्रेस है जिसने 1993 में संसद के पटल पर, विवादित जगह पर हॉस्पिटल, स्कूल या कोई लाइब्रेरी बनाने का प्रस्ताव रखा था, और आज लोकसभा चुनाव से ठीक पहले कांग्रेस ने हरीश रावत का यह बयान, कांग्रेस की मंशा पर प्रश्नचिन्ह लगाता है।

*So-Called-Secular Congress indulging in cheap Election gimmicks by raising Ram Mandir Issue*
*Congress President must clear his stand on Harish Rawat’s statement*
Senior Congress party leader & former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Harish Rawat recently said that Congress will build Ram Temple in Ayodhya if they come to power. When questioned by press if this was the official stand of Congress on the matter, he claimed that in the week since he made the statement there has been no condemnation of it by the party, therefore his stand must be considered the party’s official stand.
In India we belive in the rule of law and the decision of Supreme Court as sacrosanct.
Aam Aadmi party strongly condemns the usage of this issue for short term political gains. AAP demands clarification by the Congress party on the statements made by their senior leader, who has been a former Chief Minister as well as a Union Minister.
The Aam Aadmi Party also questions the validity of such statements when the issue is still in the jurisdiction of the honourable Supreme Court of India. The statement raises doubts on the justice delivery mechanisms of the premier court of India. It an insult to the judicial system, and can be viewed as contempt of court and obstruction in the due process of law. Moreover it is a careless remark on an issue so sensitive that the court itself is treading with utmost care.
AAP also wishes to ask the Congress party if it is nothing but BJP Team B now. There seems to be no remaining ideological difference between them anymore. The Congress is clearly following the footsteps of the BJP in using the issue as an election agenda.
Further, if such a view is not just an election agenda, why did the Congress party not construct a temple when it was in power for a decade? What is the utility of making such statements just a few months before the elections? Taking their political cues from the BJP, the Congress too seems to be trivialising the Ram Mandir issue for short term political gain. This is merely political bait, one that is divisive, risky and belittles the people’s emotions associated with this sensitive issue.
Lastly, Aam Aadmi Party aims to expose the hypocrisy of the ‘secular’ Congress party. In 1993, on the floor of the Parliament, the party took a stand that it will strive to build a hospital or school or library at the disputed site. Why has the Congress changed its stance on the issue months before the election?
The Aam Aadmi Party demands answers and clarifications on the insensitivity towards people’s emotions and disrespect towards the Supreme Court showed by senior party leader Harish Rawat.
Our questions to the Congress are:
1. Do the Congress party and its President Rahul Gandhi support this statement of Harish Rawat? Is this the official line of the party?
2. Is the self professed secular Congress today trying to fight elections on the basis of religion?
3. Knowing full well that the matter is subjudice in the highest court of the country the Supreme Court. Does Congress admit to complete disregard of Supreme Court and rule of law in making such statements for political gains?
4. BJP has long used Ram Mandir as a campaign issue only to forget all about it after elections. Is the Congress today taking political cues from the BJP and following on the BJP’s footsteps as its B team?
5. In the 10 years of UPA rule during several of which Harish Rawat was a cabinet minister why did the Congress not build the Ram Mandir? If they are indeed serious about the issue why didn’t they build the temple in their decade of rule instead of raking it up for votes how?
6. In 1993 the Congress proposed on the floor of the Parliament that a hospital, school or library be built at the disputed site. With Rawat’s statement is the Congress officially changing their stand from the one in 93? Is the Congress trying to promote communal strife for cheap political gain?
