Delhi Police has turned into BJP Police: Dy CM Manish Sisodia
“BJP cannot compete with Arvind Kejriwal on governance, so wants to finish him off”
Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal was attacked by a Bhartiya Janata Party worker Anil Sharma yesterday afternoon outside the CM chamber at the high-security Delhi Secretariat building. The Facebook profile of the accused and his comments after being apprehended yesterday makes it amply clear that he is an active member of the BJP. His profile photo is of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his entire social media presence is filled with vitriolic hate against Arvind Kejriwal. The Aadhar card of the accused also revealed that he lives next to the nominated Vice Chairperson of the NDMC and former MLA and BJP leader Karan Singh Tanwar.
‘CCTV footage makes the intent of attacker clear; how can Delhi Police say it was an accident?’
The CCTV footage of the incident leaves no room for doubt about the intent of the attacker to physically harm the chief minister. In fact, had the chili powder reached the chief minister’s eyes as was intended, it would have caused grievous injury to him. It is extremely shocking that despite such clear evidence, senior IPS officers of the Delhi Police stated yesterday that they needed to determine if the chili powder fell by mistake.
The same Delhi Police displayed unprecedented alacrity in another case, in which an officer had alleged assault at the residence of the CM. Despite the fact that there was no evidence of the assault, the Police raided the CM’s residence with 60 policemen and spent 3 hours questioning him. Two accused AAP MLAs were picked up from their homes with tremendous coercive power as though terrorists were being apprehended.
‘Delhi Police reports to LG; law and order under Union Home Ministry, but neither has issued statements after such a serious incident’
It has been 24 hours since this incident took place, but the Lieutenant Governor (LG) who has direct jurisdiction over Delhi police and is therefore accountable to the people of Delhi has not even issued a statement on this matter. The Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, who has control over law and order in Delhi spoke to the chief minister on the phone and urged him to file an FIR. Is this how the city’s police functions? Policemen present at the venue witnessed a cognisable offence being committed with their own eyes. The Delhi Police should have immediately registered a complaint against the accused.
‘BJP’s Delhi Police is actively protecting those who attack the CM’
This is the fourth such attack on the chief minister. In none of these cases has even a charge sheet been filed against any of the accused yet. Why is Delhi Police protecting people who attack Arvind Kejriwal? In the video that has surfaced of the accused, he openly stated that Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia were on his target. But the police is behaving as though the attacker is a member of their family. He is spoken to with warmth and affection going to the extent of urging him to “continue fighting his fight”.
‘BJP wants to finish off Arvind Kejriwal’
The question this points us to is – why has the Delhi Police been converted into BJP Police. Delhi Police is behaving like an arm of the BJPled Central government. This attack on the democratically elected people of Delhi is an attack on the people of Delhi. The BJP cannot accept Arvind Kejriwal and AAP’s rising popularity, they cannot compete on governance and delivery of promises, so they want to finish him off!
Despite all efforts of the BJP to create obstacles in the AAP government’s path, the government has succeeded in ensuring Delhi’s works get completed. Orchestrating such an attack on political rivals is an act of cowardice. I want to warn the BJP that these tactics will not work against Aam Aadmi Party and Arvind Kejriwal.

मंगलवार को पार्टी कार्यालय में पत्रकारों को संबोधित करते हुए दिल्ली के उप-मुख्यमंत्री मनीष सिसोदिया ने कहा कि कल दिल्ली सचिवालय में एक अनिल शर्मा नामक व्यक्ति ने मुख्यमंत्री अरविन्द केजरीवाल पर जानलेवा हमला किया, उनकी आँखों में मिर्ची का पाउडर डालने की कोशिश की, और उनके मुहं पर घूसा मारने की कोशिश की, जिसमे उनका चश्मा टूट गया। ये कोई इत्तेफाक नहीं है बल्कि भाजपा द्वारा एक सोची समझी साजिश के तहत एक प्रयोजिस षड्यंत्र है। पुलिस द्वारा की गई पूछताछ में अनिल शर्मा ने कबूल किया की अरविन्द केजरीवाल और मनीष सिसोदिया मेरा टारगेट हैं। अनिल शर्मा की फेसबुक पेज को देखने पर पता चला की वो भाजपा के द्वारा भेजा गया है। फेसबुक पेज पर साफ तौर पर लिखा हुआ है कि वह भाजपा का कार्यकर्ता है। फेसबुक पह पर भी उसने अरविन्द केजरीवाल के लिए गन्दी गन्दी गलियां लिखी हुई हैं। इससे पहले भी अरविन्द केजरीवाल पर कई बार हमले हुए हैं, और हर बार हमलावर का भाजपा से कोई न कोई सम्बन्ध निकला है
प्रेस वार्ता के दौरान मनीष सिसोदिया ने कल के हादसे का वीडियो दिखाया जिसमे साफ तौर पर देखा जा सकता है कि किस प्रकार से यह अनिल शर्मा नामक व्यक्ति अरविन्द केजरीवाल के पास आता है और पैर छूने के बहाने से उनपर हमला करता है। वीडियो के साथ मनीष सिसोदिया ने अनिल शर्मा के फेसबुक पेज की कुछ फ़ोटोज़ भी दिखाई जिसको देखकर साफ़ पता चलता है कि वो भाजपा का कार्यकर्त्ता है। उसने अपने फेसबुक पेज पर साफ साफ़ लिखा हुआ है “मेम्बर ऑफ़ बीजेपी बिजनेस”, अर्थात भाजपा से जुड़ा हुआ है। उसके फेसबुक पेज के पिछले एक महीने की पोस्ट हमने देखी हैं जिसमे उसने भाजपा की खूब तारीफ की है, और जगह जगह अरविन्द केजरीवाल को गन्दी गन्दी गलियां लिखी हुई है। उसकी जेब से मिले आईडी कार्ड मिला है उसपर जो पता है, वो भाजपा के विधायक (पूर्व) और NDMC के चेयरमैन करण सिंह तंवर के घर के पास का है। ये सारे तथ्य इस बात की और इशारा करते हैं की इस व्यक्ति के भाजपा के साथ घनिष्ठ सम्बन्ध हैं, और भाजपा के इशारे पर ही इस षड्यंत्र को अंजाम दिया गया।
एक और वीडियो दिखाते हुए मनीष सिसोदिया ने कहा कि इस विडिओ में साफ तौर पर देखा जा सकता है कि हमलावर अनिल शर्मा कबूल कर रहा है कि अरविन्द केजरीवाल और मनीष सिसोदिया मेरे टारगेट है, और दिल्ली पुलिस कितने प्यार से उसे भईया, बेटा करके उसकी खातिरदारी सी कर रही है! भाजपा के गुंडे, भाजपा के हमलावर क्या दिल्ली पुलिस के लिए भईया और बेटे हैं। ये बड़े ही शर्म की बात है कि दिल्ली पुलिस के कर्मियों के सामने उस व्यक्ति अनिल शर्मा ने मुख्यमंत्री पर हमला किया, उनकी आँख में मिर्च का पाउडर डालने की कोशिश की, हर जगह मीडिया में CCTV फुटेज दिखाई जा रहे हैं, और घटना के बाद दिल्ली की बेशर्म पुलिस का बयान आता है कि वो व्यक्ति हमले के मकसद से नहीं आया था! अनिल शर्मा अपनी शिकायत लेकर सचिवालय के PGMS डिपार्टमेंट में आया था, और मिर्च पाउडर का पैकेट उसकी जेब में रखा हुआ तो जो अरविन्द केजरीवाल के पैर छूते समय उसकी जेब से गिर गया! ये वही दिल्ली पुलिस है जो केवल एक झूठी शिकायत पर मुख्यमंत्री के घर में काला चश्मा लगाकर फ़िल्मी हीरो की तरह तलासी के लिए घुस जाती है! ये बड़ी ही दुखद बात है की दिल्ली की निकम्मी पुलिस इतने बड़े षड्यंत्र को महज़ एक इत्तेफाक बता रही है।
भाजपा के द्वारा चयनित उप-राज्यपाल साहब पर निशाना साधते हुए मनीष सिसोदिया ने कहा, की 24 घंटे बीत चुके हैं इस घटना को हुए, और भाजपा के पक्ष में छोटी छोटी सी चीजों पर ट्वीट करने वाले उप-राज्यपाल साहब ने इस घटना की निंदा तक नहीं की, एक बयान तक नहीं आया उनकी तरफ से, इससे ये साबित होता है की इस षड्यंत्र के बारे में उप-राज्यपाल साहब को भी खबर थी।
मनीष सिसोदिया ने बताया की घटना के बाद भाजपा सरकार के केन्द्रीय गृह मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह ने मुख्यमंत्री अरविन्द केजरीवाल को फ़ोन करके घटना के बारे में पुछा और कहा की आप पुलिस में अपनी शिकायत दर्ज करा दीजिए। ये बड़ा ही आश्चर्यजनक है की देश का गृह मंत्री जिनके अधीन दिल्ली की पुलिस आती है, और सारी घटना उनकी पुलिस के सामने हुई, वो गृह मंत्री एक प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री से कह रहा है की आप अपनी शिकायत पुलिस में दर्ज करा दीजिए।
पहले भाजपा ने अलग अलग तरीकों से दिल्ली सकरार द्वारा किये जा रहे जनहित के कार्यों को रोकने की कोशिश की, अफसरों को डराया, सीबीआई की रेड करवाई, और जब किस भी तरह से ये मुख्यमंत्री अरविन्द केजरीवाल के काम को नहीं रोक पाए तो अब इन्होने ये हथकंडा अपनाया है! इस पूरे घटना क्रम में साफ़-साफ़ दिख रहा है की भाजपा के शीर्ष स्तर के नेताओं द्वारा अरविन्द केजरीवाल जी की हत्या की साजिश रची जा रही है!
मीडिया के माध्यम से मनीष सिसोदिया ने भाजपा को चेतावनी दी की अगर तुम्हारे अन्दर दम हैं तो दिल्ली की जनता के काम करके दिखाओ, ये इस तरह की ओछी हरकते करना बंद करो! अगर भाजपा को लगता है की ऐसे हमले करवाकर वो हमें डरा सकती है तो करा ले जितने हमले कराने हैं, हम दिल्ली की जनता के लिए काम कर रहे थे, और करते रहेंगे।
