Durgesh Pathak, the youngest member of the Aam Aadmi Party’s Political Affairs Committee. A key figure in building grassroots support in Delhi before the 2015 Assembly election and in Punjab before the 2017 Assembly election. Durgesh has played several key responsibilities in the party including leading the 2022 Goa and Delhi MCD elections.

Hailing from Sikohara village near Gorakhpur, Durgesh arrived in New Delhi to prepare for the Civil Services Examination. His journey in politics began in 2011 as a volunteer for the Jan Lokpal Movement, and he played a significant role in establishing the party’s strong organisational foundation in Delhi.

During the 2015 Delhi Assembly elections, Durgesh led the organisation and campaign in 35 constituencies, resulting in victories in 34 of them. Subsequently, he was deployed to Punjab, where the party secured an impressive 24% vote share and 20 seats in its debut election in the state.

Durgesh holds a master’s degree from Allahabad University, Uttar Pradesh. His pragmatic approach and hands-on experience in organisational development showcase his commitment to the Aam Aadmi Party’s mission and vision.
